  1. Yeah I loved it when he said they played better in the 2nd half. It was to late by that team as,Ryan was shell shocked and the team couldn't recover from its miserable start.
  2. The more I watch Ballard's presser, I think he trades back. I thought this was the year to move up but I think he is going to address the offensive line with Smith and Kelly up. To many holes , as he sees it, to move up to acquire secondary starter and Oline depth.
  3. I think the best fit for what they need in a wr is Thomas. He should be there at 15. The best Db fit is probably Cooper who is somewhat of a hybrid if they were looking for him to come and be that FS and can also play nickel. I picked Cooper if they play the same old D. If they seek to go with a man corner to change it up, I love Mitchell but he is probably off the board. I also like Higgins if they want a man corner. He is light but man can he run and has great recovery speed. If they don't go corner in the 1st, they will address it later in the draft but not a fan of the other corners in the 1st. I don't see TE as a need and I really doubt Bowers makes it out of the top 10. DE is always a need and Latu is intriguing as he could slide. I do think this team needs speed at both wr and corner. I think that the Houston game at the end of the season really brought forth our lack of talent in the secondary. I listened to Ballard's presser, and he said more than a couple of times, I think", when asked about the secondary. He made those same mistakes about the O and Line. I am hoping he doesn't repeat the same mistakes. I just cannot beleive he is going into the season with this bunch in the secondary. If he does, it will cost him his job.
  4. Well there u go. U answered my question. So a 100% is considering acing the test and/or task. I assume based on your grading system, less than %50 would be crapping the bed?? I don't have 100% disdain for Ballard. Based on what he has done in Indy, I have less than 50% faith that he can build a superbowl team.
  5. Based on what? Honestly, I would like u to give me reasons as to why the fan base should not be concerned bout this secondary.
  6. I really shouldn't have to answer that. It's winning percentage, play off appearances, play off wins, division titles and AFC titles. Where do u think we rank when we consider all of those bearing in mind we also played in a joke division for the last 7 years.
  7. Hmmmm. I really don't think what hexiw saying is dumb. It's a football forum and all aboutcjustvsexpreaaing I was never good at math but usually, when someone scored less than 50% at a test and/or a task, it meant they failed. The only thing about Ballard is that he is continually given the excuse that his dog ate his homework, so he couldn't study, and therefore, that is the reason why he failed. I'm making a comparison to losing Luck lol..
  8. I meant to say this. I am not sure the Colts will trade with a team and say slide back to 18 or lower as the Jags picking at 17. I would think the Colts and Jags are focusing on the same postions in this draft.
  9. That was my question. If all those positions were elite coming out, who would u take 1st?
  10. But would u take him over an elite DE, LT, corner or DT? I would probably take all those positions before a wr.
  11. Trading back would be interesting. Jags are at 17. I am not sure they want to get behind the Jags and have them pick a guy at 17 that will come back to haunt the Colts. They apparently need a corner and wr as their to needs.
  12. U know I really want us to go defense as I feel talent is sorely missing on defense. I hope this draft is on e that Ballard just picks the best football player. I'm watching Bowers on tape, and he is just a great football player. I think he is going to be a nightmare to guard in the NFL. I almost think he is going to be more of a problem than MJH and Nabors when it comes to how to match personal. His YAC is just ridiculous.
  13. Trevor Lawrence has averaged 6.7 passing yards per attempt in his career. Jags have surrounded him with weapons and he has been good but not near the guy they thought he would be.
  14. I wouldn't say Lawrence has worked out at all. He has really underwhelmed for a supposed can't miss prospect.
  15. The only one I may dispute is Arnold. He has lot of good tape just the 4.5 fourty for a corner is not a time that gets him into the 1st round
  16. That off course if Ballard traded back and cannot get my initial favs
  17. I wouldn't mind a draft of Higgins and Cooper if they were able to pull that off lol
  18. And it's not really working out for the teams that do make that trade. To me, u make a trade for a receiver if u have most of theteam behind u to make a push. Colts have holes on defense.
  19. Then begs the question. Do u want to say draft a MJH at 4 and turn around in 4 years or would u say draft Turner and pay him 30mill in 4 years? All day every day for the franchise rush end. I am not a big believer in 30 mill for a wr. Reid is a fantastic coach and look what he did with Hill.
  20. Do u ever get there is any sense of urgency with Ballard when he speaks bout the team? I hear a lot of I think they should. He just comes across like a guy who feels that he is safe as long as Irsay is the owner. Smooth talker, I guess, and I tire of the soft ball questions from the media. Your team was like at the bottom of the league and that was against horrendous qb play. Your 2nd round pick corner couldn't stay healthy. Your other corners are late round picks and one coming back from serious injury. I know it's a presser and he can't give it away but man, you would think his defense is just peachy. I honestly think this D needs so much work both schematically and on the talent side. I do think listening to him, he will trade back. I think that the guys that he really covets will be gone or way too expensive. The top 3 wrs will be gone as will be Bowers. Mitchell is probably not his guy the Dends will go fast. There might be a guy at say 12 but I think he won't pill the trigger and say give up a 2nd or 3r rounder.
  21. MJH does not have elite speed. He didn't even run a 40. Nabors has elite speed but not size. Jones would have been a combination of both of them if u picked out their elite traits. Jones was like Calvin Johnson. Just absolute freaks of nature that shouldn't be able to do what they do at that size.
  22. I think u r missing my point. Pick a player that fits and excels in your scheme. Guys like Nabers and MJH are freaks and r not scheme dependant. Think of the Rams. Kupp is good, but they dipped into the draft and amazingly draft another stud because he fits their scheme and does not have elite triats. It is similar to the way they draft corners. They r typical zone corners. U can let one-way if they want to much as u can go back into the draft and hopefully get another in the 2nd. That is my point.
  23. Having Ballard as your GM is liking living through the cycke of abuse lol He can't really move up because we have to many holes to fill because of his lack luster drafting. So, he prefers to move back to accumulate more pics, hoping he has more of a chance of those pics turning out. Quality over quality. Now that philosophy really isn't worked. So here we are again having holes to fill and unable to move up because we have to move back to correct his erros, which will go on and on lol.
