  1. There is a reason why they drafted Cooper and Mitchell. There secondary sucked last year and is old. So if the rookies play well, they will be good. If they don't, their secondary will suck even more.
  2. I think there was an over evaluation of the wr talent and how loaded it actually is. I think moving forward it maybe slim pickings and that's why i am in favor of the Colts moving up to get their guy in the 2nd. Hopefully an elite pass rusher was found in the1st but they still need a corner/safety. Cooper could be that guy but I expect him to come off the board very soon.
  3. Kelce in the middle. In all serious, I have said we can go into the season with the current wr and te's and i could live with it. To me this draft was about building the defense. My point about a field stretcher was in comparing Samuel and Ayiuk. I prefer the field stretcher if I had to make a choice between the two.
  4. if they have to make a move, I would see them offering Samuel's. Aiyuk is a field stretcher and Samuel has been beaten up because of the type of game he plays. Aiyuk will not be going anywhere. We need a field stretcher
  5. Deebo is very physical but I think they want more of a take the top of the defense type of guy so they cannot bring their safeties down would you do a trade for Higgins?
  6. I loved the pick. I had him as a dark horse because of his medical and felt he may slide because of it. Honestly, when it came to #15, he never really entered my mind, as I felt they would pass on him. People asked who they wanted at #15 and in one of my posts, I said a football player. I wanted Mitchell but I also raised the idea of Latua in other posts.. I really praise Ballard for this pick. I said he needed to come away with a play maker and there had to be some amount of pressure on him to do so. Apparently, information is out there that he tried to move up and I also said, I had a feeling this was a year they were going to try and make a move. I give a lot of credit to Ballard for picking the guy who has a lot of production and if he fails, so be it. I also told people on this board that this pass rush was not good enough. Ballard's eagerness to sign Hunter should have been a sign that he felt so as well. I said to watch free agency and it will tell you what their true needs are. He wanted Hunter and Sneed. The rumor is that he wanted to trade up into the 1st and everyone is saying it was probably a receiver. That is shocking to me but once again, I will give Ballard an A+ so far, because he was willing to be aggressive. I do Steichen is having some influence on Ballard because of his days with the Eagles and how aggressive they are in the draft. I think this shows that he realizes that he needs to have play makers to play with the elite teams and you have to take some risk to get those type of players. I have been hard on Ballard, but he has knocked it out of the park so far. He took a guy with a questionable medical history, addressed a glaring need and a position that is needed to make this defense work. Don't be mislead by last year's sack totals. This team lost a pile of games in the 4th quarter last year because they could not pressure the qb. Now he needs a wr, S and corner. I wouldn't be surprised to see him move up in the 2nd. Way to go Ballard!!!
  7. I am all for a D player. If the top D players r gone at 15. I could live with Bowers as I think he is going to be special.
  8. I will say this. I think if Bowers falls, I could see KC trading up.
  9. Could u imagine if Bowers was there and he traded back???lol
  10. If he is not skeptical about our corners, then he had no reason being a GM.
  11. U also have to consider those teams r stacked on thr lines with exception of thr Bills. An elite pass catching tr is useless if no one on the line can block.
  12. Look at the Chiefs. Franchise tight end, qb, DT, and some would say corner. U need some elite players mixed in with players. We have one elite player, and he is our rb. This is 2024 and u ain't winning nothing with that formula.
  13. Does he trade back? I am back and forth but I beleive there is pressure to get a play maker. People have Bowers falling to the Colts. I think we need D bad. However, he would be my choice as an offensive pick after Nabers and Harrison. I actually think he has the ability to affect the game just as much as Harrison.
  14. No way he lasts that far. He is the top rated 3 tech. If he lasts till the Bears, they would take him.
  15. He is way better than Pittman. When Chase was injured, Higgins lined as the number 1. He took on elite corners and surprised people; he was that good.
  16. I always said I would trade for Higgins and give him a contract and that would settle the masses lol.
  17. Funny. Lombardi had him as best D player before this came out. I think I said about a week ago works it be a dumb pick to take him. I guess the rest of the league has him high as well.
  18. Hmmmm. No one is moving a franchise DE. It will get settled. Plus, the Bengals owner and GM never flinch
  19. Yup, because it is the one position in where if u don't have one, u ain't going nowhere. I think it is good news for the Colts.
  20. I think people do forget that AR coming off injury. This could be like the Nelson year. They may go OT to make sure Richardson is protected. This maybe their greatest need
  21. I agree and we are not going wr. Even though it is deep, once u get past Nabors and Harrison there are a lot of 2nd round talent. I am not sure he trades back as he could pick an OT at 15.
