  1. Your not the only one. I predicted the jags may jag again and we will/can contend for division along with houston. My predictions were 8-81 or 9-8.
  2. Yes to the Bolded. With the win just a FG away, the offense was as non-affective as it was in the first half......and then in OT, Bradley's Defense also reverted to his first half incompetence. Seems coaches dial up better plays only when they are way behind.
  3. ....because a Raven loss helped the no talent steelers. LoL
  4. Bingo! Team Building is not linear! Some colt fans want to say(or think) that winning now or in the future is not likely because of a rookie QB and rebuilding or tanking again for draft picks (the so called greatest GM ever has to tank multiple seasons to acquire good players LoL). That's a Built in Excuse for managment/coaches if and when team fails. As far as rebuilding, this is Ballards 7th year, The building should have been done years ago.
  5. Yeah but Ballard got that 5th round pick for him and don't have to pay his $10 million contract.
  6. Some on here said the same thing. I, liked everyone else seen his athletic ability. But at the combine I seen and heard his interviews and his knowledge of the game and desire. And that's when I wanted him over the other three QBs and didn't think it would take long to have a chance to contend in the South. I just hope management and coaching doesn't let him down.
  7. Regardless who the colts have coming back, they will still have the same coaches who seem to get brain cramps when the game is on the line.
  8. Despite the comeback it was a Bad game for the colts and staff. Rams came out firing and built a 23 point lead with no resistance or response from colts. At one point the rams out gained the colts nearly 250 yards to 46!!! Colts were shutout untill 5 mins left in the 3rd quarter!!! Once the game was tied up the colts Defense once again couldn't stop them when they needed to.......in position to win with just a field goal with less than two minutes the colts offense went three and out and left plenty of time for Stafford to win in regulation. And speaking of going three and out with the win in your grasp What kind of plays were those that were called??? With a mobile QB Steinchen, or whoever, calls three straight in the pocket Mundane plays not letting his QB do what he does best AND calls on him what he does worse.....pass in the pocket!!! The play calling is once again plain and unimaginative, as are the play creativity, even with a highly mobile QB. The faces and names change but not so much the plays. From Chudd, Pep, Reich and now Steinchen/Cooter. Last week it took the offense 3 possessions in OT to get in position to kick and win with a 55 yard FG. I won't say the colts should have won, especially with the bad defensive and offense play for 3 quarters BUT there was a legitimate chance to steal the game with a few first downs and a FG, but the play calling caused AR to go three and out with lack luster play calling with our dynamic QB stayed in the pocket....the weakest part of his game!
  9. No, it's on Ballard. He's the one in charge of roster construction..... not fans.
  10. With the OL being without several starters I kinda sorry I picked colts to win in weekly pick'em! I should change my pick, If allowed to, BUT Won't.
  11. Looks like a tuff week and multiple toss up OT games Atlanta 19 Jax 21 OT Dolphins 44. Buffalo 32 *Vikings. 23. Carolina 24 OT * I think Vikes should win but by losing it will expedite Cousins to Jets, which I think the NFL favors? *Denver. 16. Chicago 17 OT *Broncos should win but losing gets Payton closer to drafting Caleb, a very desirable destination for the next super star QB Ravens 23. Brownies. 20 *OT *a more traditional OT score for @VikingsFanInChennai Steelers 19 texans 10 Rams 26 Colts 29 Bucs 25 Saints. 24 OT Washington 11. Philly 30 Bengals 29. Titans 28 Raiders. 26 Chargers 29 *Patriots 16. Cowboys 17 * not comfortable picking cowboys but a loss could make Belichek/Kraft start thinking about Caleb Cards 11. SF. 26 *KC. 25. Jets 02 *KC should romp but jets need some wins if their trading for a QB.... but still have a hard time picking jets in this one.. Refs will need to be at their best for jets to win unless Mahomes plays along lol MNF Seattle. 16. Giants 17 ot Best Bets Miami Steelers Eagles 49ers Chiefs
  12. I have always liked the vikes. They are a old time original team with past legends and success. But in modern times it seems the Football Gods frown on them from having too much success... just a season here and there usually followed by mediocre or worse play. They are similar to the Colts minus Manning/Polian era, not like franchises historically brownies, lions, cards, jets etc... But not like the top franchises that when good go to super bowls. That's why I hope colt fans enjoy this season if they have some success and not look into the next few years of building and expecting a Super Bowl team. NFL team building isn't necessarily linear and teams like the colts & vikes can be like yo yo's....up one year, down the next. I know fans have been wanting to move on from Cousins, but getting someone better/consistently elite may be easier said then done but there seems to be multiple good QB prospects. Do you remember Tarkenton? I Remember him vaguely seen vids of him. He was quite a scrambler. And the Purple People eaters. Anyway, I expect Cousins to be with the Jets soon.. I wish him success but that's difficult with that team.. LoL
  13. I don't think ending up with Reich was something to cheer about.... I know its very early but I don't think panther fans are cheering.
  14. What timeline did we jump into? Lions will run away in their division.... Orioles win the AL East....Yankees eliminated from playoffs.... Congress holding hearings about aliens. It's all tied to the Mandela Effect. LoL
  15. Yes, both the bears & cards will probably be in position to get QBs in the draft...... But not Caleb Williams? Colin cowherd said rumors are Caleb will pick his team and he's not liking the bears/cards organizations and !ah pull a Elway/Eli move. That's good for the NFL, if Caleb doesn't end up with dumpster fire teams. He's a superstar and would be harder to market with such bad teams. Maybe its good that the timing wasn't right for the colts to be in position for him. Colts now have their QB and if Caleb is going to choose his destination he probably wouldn't choose the colts, Indy, and irsay. USC vs DeIon Sanders early on Saturday, should be interesting.. A lot of hype on Deion.
  16. I don't always end OT with 2 points......sometimes I end my OT with a 1 point difference I didn't get the reference of this weeks copy? I remember @2006Coltsbestever joked something about someone copying/pasting his picks?. On a different subject, I heard somewhere Jets are inquiring about trading for Cousins. Is that true? I'm assuming your a Viking fan, what are you hearimg?....jthat would be rough losing Cook and Cousins back to back years. I think it could happen if Carolina beats them and then have KC next week. I think it would be a bummer for Viking fans losing cook and then cousins.
  17. Week #1- 8-8 Week #2- 10-6 Week #3- 12-4 overall ....30 - 18 TNF a really toss up game(for me).....may watch more important MLB games instead Lions 26 packers 24 OT Rest of games later
  18. I'm not going to lose a minutes sleep whether JT, who I don't or ever will know, and other players get or don't get paid. ......I'm going to have to agree to disagree on this with you and anyone else. I will add that I think that possibly its bigger than Irsay and JT. It may be the league(31 other owners) don't want other owners paying RB's? Even if Irsay wants to pay JT, he would upset the narrative of the league and doesn't want to go against the collective business practice of the other owners??? JT is not the first back to be denied extension AND won't be the last.
  19. The conversation was about honoring contracts and why its ok for NFL owners not honor a contract but not for a player. As far as "bad performance", many NFL players get terminated and didn't have bad performance. They often get released because their contracts escalate in pay the last year or two and teams don't want to pay the increased salary(and often they never intended to at the signing) and will often replace the player with a player making rookie/veteran minimum. Professional sports is different than the workplace of average people.....But the NFL is different than other sports like the MLB and NBA, who fully honor and guarantee the contracts they sign and agree to with the occasional Buy Out option after a specific year in the length of the contract. I almost always side for the player who is trying to get paid a X amount of millions to take care of himself and families for the rest of their life and risk injuries/post concussion syndromes later in life RATHER than owners who are BILLIONAIREs and spend more on a plane, yacht, or private collection of whatever tickles their fancy than a deserving players contract. But at the end its just business for both sides but other sports fully guarantee the players salaries/contracts as far as I know.
  20. I think most here will be happy to get a Bowl game near New Years Day!!!
  21. What about when teams don't honor the contract and cut players before it expires?
  22. Both the Bengals & Ravens have the misfortune of playing in the same division of one of the leagues favorite teams....the Steelers. The script hasn't been written much in favor of them lately because of brady/belichek and then Maholmes getting the lead roles plus the Steelers have lacked talent a few years. But despite them still not being talented and especially woeful on offense, I think they win their division this year and unfortunately for Bengal and ravens fans their teams will play their part for that to happen(Ravens & refs did vs colts?) Just throwing out a script like they joke about in the NFL commercials
  23. My AFC Power Rankings(week#3) 1.... Dolphins 2.... KC ....gap.... 3.... Buffalo 4.... Bengals ....gap.... 5.... Ravens 6.... COLTS 7.... Chargers 8.... Pats 9.... Jags ....gap.... 10... steelers 11... Titans 12... Brownies 13... Texans 14... Raiders ....gap.... 15 ... *Broncos 16... *Jets *any QB Denver trots out, including Russell Wilson, is a lot better than the jets Zach Wilson. Which is why the Broncos are ranked ahead of the jets.
  24. As the Pats say, "if you ain't cheating, you ain't trying"
