  1. You telling me Samson Setelle and Hugh Thorton arnt going to make it to the Colts ring of honor?
  2. Like Raimann last year, it was good for Freeman to take those lumps for growth. He should be our swing tackle this year. If Smith goes down the reps he gets will help more.
  3. This new offense will take some getting used to by the players. Communication will get better with time. There's alot of work to do but this team seems to be hope for future seasons. At least from the pre-season lol.
  4. I believe you're correct with the idea of they like who they have and believe they can get better. Nothing wrong with that. Competition should of been brought in to push them. If they think Fries has the potential to become a full time starter then Fries should be given the chance to compete and earn the spot. Either Fries gets it and the other is depth, or vice versa.
  5. I have been a Ballard supporter, but if we do not improve on the o-line this year he should be shown the door. At his end of season press conference he talked about his mistakes with how he viewed the o-line going into last season. He made the same exact mistakes. The only difference is we have someone who legitimately could be our future at LT. For someone who says the game is won in the trenches, having back to back off-season where the o-line was barely improved (if at all), he is not doing his job of making sure the lines are and remain a strength of this team.
  6. Fries was taken out with the rest of the firsts. He played 29 snaps which is the same as Nelson and Richardson. You either saw Pinter, French, or Ekiyor. I believe I read that Ekoyor did get handled near the beginning but got better as the game went.
  7. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/colts-jonathan-taylor-not-focused-on-new-deal-im-under-contract-here-for-four-years/ Here is the quote.
  8. This guy is shooting himself in the foot. Way to let every organization know that deals should not be done with you at the table.
  9. This is the first I've seen of JTs agent, and it makes me think he is more of a problem for JT and the Colts then a help for JT. I think Taylor does deserve a nice contract, not record breaking, but with 1 year left on the contract in place/ coming off of a down year I don't think you can say the team has bad faith yet. That wouldn't be until they slap a franchise tag on him and ended negotiations. Something tells me this is more of his agent wanting as much money as possible for himself and not what's best for his clients interests.
  10. I'm honestly shocked it's something different. Most of the time it's just all white or all blue. Looks good
  11. https://www.stampedeblue.com/2022/1/31/22911788/colts-og-quenton-nelson-pulls-out-of-playing-in-2022-pro-bowl-because-of-injury Found this. Names high ankle sprain, back, toe, and a covid related illness for Nelson during the season.
  12. I forgot about Denbow. Just read a report he had a 1 handed interception today on Ehlinger so maybe he is ready to roll.
  13. Bring McCloud back!!! Has he signed anywhere yet?
  14. I'm seeing the word "pick" so much in these tweets it makes me think Matt Ryan is still here. Lol.
  15. Well, the Cowboys are signing Ben Banagou. So it could be worse.
  16. I'm just gonna do the radio broadcast like normal. With most the games playing at 10 AM here, it's nice to listen to the game while I do some house chores or yardwork.
  17. So Marcus Peter's is still available right? From what I've read he is not really a scheme fits, but he's a vet that can play at a high level and we have zero veteran presence now in the corner back room. Peter's would be able to show the young blood some tricks of the trade, and not just have us rely on rookies.
  18. That sucks. Idk about next man up at this point. Any man up sounds about right for right now.
  19. This time of year the injury report is always inflated. They'll hold these guys out for almost anything to prevent it from becoming a larger issue down the line.
  20. I really don't remember the line being that much better at the end of the season. Foles got destroyed against the chargers and giants.Foles was a statue for the most part, but he was constantly getting hit. Ehlinger was also running around alot against the Texans.
  21. This season is wide open to what could happen. We can speculate all we want but nobody knows until it happens. I still say that we can get into the playoffs. Most likely as a wild card, but the Jags could turn right back into the Jags and we somehow win the division. If we reach the playoffs I'd say the season was a success. If we win a playoff game, we'll that's just gravy on the tatters. I'd say it all comes down to: 1. O line play. If the o line dosnt improve from its play last season then the season is done before it begins. With little being done to the line this off-season, I'll admit that I'm worried about this. 2. Defense playing well. I'm of the group who thinks the defense played well last year and crumbled at the end because it really didn't matter anymore. If they can play like the first half of the Vikings game and not the second half were good. 3. ARs play. All he has to do is not totally suck and we could have a good season. There's gonna be a mixed bag of results, alot of bad picks/ boneheaded throws, but flashes of greatness will do enough to get us to the playoffs.
  22. Which one picked off Matt Ryan and which one sacked him?
