    <p>
    I have been a diehard Colts fan for over 40 years and hopefully have at least another 30 in me? I am a native New Yorker who moved to Florida in 2008 and never looked back. My Father was a diehard Colts fan and he passed it on to me and I am grateful for that, may he rest in peace....

  1. RIP Tom Petty.....one of my all time faves.  I had seen him play a few times but none was as good as at The Jones Beach Amphitheater in 1985...thunder and lightning coming off the angry Atlantic ocean in his background and after two delays........he just played his heart out in the rain!  He began it with this song...

      Hopefully he will pull through but it's not looking good.

      He officially did die tonight, it was released not long ago.

      Sad but it does sound like he tried to hang on as long as he could.

      Whoa, the master of writing 3 chord single hits is gone? Really? Man, I am seriously depressed & bummed out about this sad bit of news. When elite musicians like Petty die, I take it very hard like I lost and old & trusted friend.

      I loved Tom's lyrics man. So descriptive & one of a kind & he played with everybody man-Stevie Nicks, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, & Johnny Cash.

      "Little Lucy's such a doll Like to climb her garden wall.
      But she only sees me as a friend;  I got to get up and climb that hill again." --Climb That Hill

      "I'll be the boy in the corduroy pants. You be the girl at the high school dance.
      Run with me, wherever I go; Just play dumb, whatever you know." --You Wreck Me

      "His leather jacket had chains that would jingle. They both met movie stars, partied and mingled.
      Their A&R man said, "I don't hear a single; The future was wide open." --Into The Great Wide Open

      "She like to call me king bee; She like to buzz 'round my tree. I call her honey bee."

      To me, his best album was "Wildflowers" when he went to a new label at Warner Bros. Every track on that album is a freaking masterpiece. Tom was a kind soul & a remarkable guitarist & songwriter. You will be deeply missed my friend.
