  1. Did any of these rookie QB light it up so far? The expectations some of you have, especially when you were told from the jump that it's not about what he is today and more about what he can become. I liked just about everything I saw from him other than the interception and him still needing to work on his touch and ball placement. Im wondering how the OP felt when Andrew Luck kept sailing balls high at different points of his rookie season? I definitely didn't walk away from this contest thinking he couldn't get better as we move along.
  2. You mean people who know the game better than you can't be right about this huh? Your take is pretty bad but hey everyone has a right to their own view.
  3. I like that you have to play Richardson a bit different too because he will take off on you. The defense has to watch how they rush him. They can't just pin their ears back as much as some of these other QBs.
  4. Our problem last year was pass blocking. Im saying we did a really good job of keeping him clean against an active front. I wasn't speaking about run blocking.
  5. You mean the front that is built to get after the Quarterback? Small DL don't take people on 1 on 1, they shoot gaps and motor past big guys. They have a pretty active front .
  6. Would look good with JT in there. Yes I think we could be productive without him, but it would look and be a lot more dangerous with him, Hull, Jackson, and Moss in there to go along with AR legs. And it's obvious this is going to be a year where we run the football a lot. Also looks like the first team OL is going to help them out as well. Could be a very fun year for JT if he will realize that he's most likely going to be a Colt in 2023 any way.
  7. I thought the first team OL was pretty good. Bills DL is stacked and they kept AR clean.
  8. I think AR is going to be real hard for a D to deal with in the Red Zone accounting for those QB runs.
  9. Other than the pick I'm not too mad at what I saw. I see the potential. Oh and I like this NFL Plus thing! Pretty nice stream.
  10. Vrabel said Willis has made glaring improvements.
  11. From the way he has to read the field, to the different types of drop back steps, to making plays on the run when they bootleg him out. And just having to adjust to playing under center. It did seem like he was a bit nervous.
  12. I also think he's adjusting out of the style of and pace of play from Ohio State into the professional style. I think that's what the deal was with his footwork.
  13. Pierce is a slow but tough runner with good stats, but He's not going to take over a game and give you what you need in terms of breaking long runs. They have an average to solid backfield but I don't see it as one you can lean on when it comes to taking heat off a rookie. I think they need a bit more than that especially if issues with pass blocking remain consistent. The expectation is the line is supposed to be good so hopefully that pans out.
  14. I would probably be looking at bringing Dalvin Cook aboard maybe. Wouldn't be opposed to it if I were them. I think Pierce is good but lacks speed and I think Singletary is ok. I think Houston needs another piece.
  15. My concern for CJ is I'm not sure they are even going to have a good ground game to take some heat off him. I don't think Pierce and the kid from the Bills will be good enough. I feel like it's going to be more of an air it out thing for them.
  16. I've got a little concern about it too.
  17. Take what u saw with their O line with a grain of salt. No detailed game planning and blocking plans. Will likely look different during the season. Houston supposed to have a good line.
  18. Stroud small sample size didn't look that great but no way I'm taking that and forming any serious opinions about it on a rookie QB. I've seen vet QBs come out in real games and not look good in 4 attempts. The sample size is pretty little. Don't be shocked if AR has a bad outing as well. You'd like for it all to be smooth but we've all been watching ball long enough to know it doesn't work like that. These guys are learning the difference between college and pro.
  19. That's not a character issue. That's a man being tired of the Circus the Jaguars were. "I really want to be part of a team that has great culture and winning is a habit,” he said on ESPN. “I don’t want to be part of a team that losing is a norm or anything of that nature." What success minded player would want to be on a team that was comfortable losing? I have no problem that he spoke out. He wasn't a headache in Indy at all. That's not why we let him go.
  20. please stop the nonsense! there has been only one issue and that is he wants to be paid but plays no run defense. that ain't a character issue! #itaintgoodtolieonfolks
  21. Tell us what Yannick did bc I've never heard of it. I'm rejecting anything that begins with the words "Well the word on him is".
  22. Richardson is the attraction more so to me. I think most are looking to see AR and they also want to see how Steichen is in his new role as HC. Those are the primary 2. Taylor being gone I don't think affects ticket sales as much bc most are expecting the colts to struggle any way. And 2 JT didn't perform that well last year to leave big anticipation for what he will do this year. Having the same OL again leave room for doubt. My opinion of course.
  23. Luck and JT is two different things though. I don't think anybody is buying season tickets with high expectations and excitement of watching Taylor run behind the leagues worst O line as they would have wanting to see Luck come back from injury. As y'all have seen me state, I don't think this new staff wants to play premium dollars to one RB. They'd rather do RBBC and include the QB in the carries. Main issue to me.
