  1. He's been known for it. Might of had a bad season once or twice but he's known for it more than anyone else. Brown didn't do much to beat him out.
  2. Yeah but MAC is a blocking tight end. The rest are not. Maybe Ogletree but I think he's more the Antonio Gates type. MAC may slip through the cracks for that reason.
  3. I'm thinking that as well. Just bc of overall experience and that great deep speed. He's much faster than Washington. I was saying to myself I'd keep Perriman and Winfree.
  4. JT I hope you have been preparing yourself for week 1 against Jacksonville. Because you're not leaving Indy my boy. Whole deck stacked against you dawg!
  5. A couple of those throws AR threw over the middle were things of beauty.
  6. all by himself. he's better than Marvin at that age
  7. And then there is the athletic and speedy Mallory. We got a bunch of them!
  8. Have u noticed that many people have problems catching ARs ball? He throws rockets.
  9. I'm hoping he stays. He's going to have some nice running lanes with AR at QB
  10. The Ravens usually make the playoffs so I'd say that's something. And we aren't getting any AJ Brown's this year so then what do you do? You have to play with what you have and play towards your strengths. The personnel we have today is more like the Ravens. And you can still run whatever you're calling the Eagles offense and still incorporate the Ravens approach with the emphasis on tight end usage. The Ravens System and The Philly system do a lot of running, using the QB in the run game and play action. They are not necessarily the same but you can have the same intent as far as what you want to emphasize. Steichen is more vertical when it comes to the passing game.
  11. I think you're worried about that too much though. This is going to be a run based/play action style deal somewhat similar to how the Ravens have operated. And we all know for a while good WR did not want to go to Baltimore bc they knew their numbers were going to suffer. So they mostly had okay type receivers. We probably won't need a bunch of electric ball demanding WR like you're advocating. We got a bunch of guys who are going to be physical run blockers and who can catch the ball reliably coming off separation they gained from the playaction pass. I think that's why we have more possession style guys big body guys at WR. I would just like more speed at the 4th through 6th receivers to give us some variety. I think a lot of AR throws are going to go to the plethora of mismatch Tight Ends we have. I think what you want doesn't fit the type game we want to play.
  12. I'm trying to train myself not to pay as much attention to AR completion percentage as long as the chains are moving somehow. I'm not sure if he is ever going to be a high completion, high accuracy guy. But his overall impact on the game may make up for what he lacks. He is going to extend a lot of possessions for us and have teams gassed chasing him around. And the way teams have to play him it leaves holes in the defense to exploit.
  13. I think I would keep MAC over Pharaoh Brown. I think MAC would be better in the passing game and he is an okay blocker. I'd keep everybody except Brown. Richardson may have more deep passes to his TE up the seams, over routes and other stuff this year than the WR in some games. This is where all our freak talent is. It's not at WR, although I like Downs and McKenzie for some RAC on the quick throws and crossers in space.. I still don't think we found any other deep threats at WR during this preseason despite the couple guys we added. Pierce I'm only so so on but there's still time.
  14. Like I said we've got a pretty nice TE room. Wait until Woods gets back. I'm sure Shane is going to scheme up some nice stuff for AR with these boys. I'd turn on the Lamar Jackson film and steal some of his TE plays. Incorporate in the Colts offense.
  15. Hasn't been a problem so far. Don't know what that was.
  16. I think we should give Pierce a little time to adjust to Richardsons ball. He throws some lazers. I do think Pickens should have been our pick though. I don't hate Pierce though. Reggie liked him better for whatever reason.
  17. I think the Colts are fine with keeping Taylor. Taylor is the one with the problem. The Colts demand for high compensation just boxes Taylor in and makes things move slow on purpose. Maybe Taylor will wake up and realize his options aren't many. You signed the contract dude! They haven't refused to pay you completely. The requirement is get healthy, let us see you play and then we can talk at some point. I just think he should try to meet them half way. I'm sure they would consider throwing him a couple million up front to kiss some butt until next year.
  18. Can we grab one of the Philly OL or young DB maybe. They may even have an extra young LB.
  19. The Eagles are who he could help the fastest. He'd come in there already knowing the playbook and the protections. He could be an impact right away.
