  1. Kent Sterling had a small clip I watched
  2. Dont care what it is as long as it works! LOL. Smiths probably still going to stay outside though. I think Freeland is the swing tackle. But yeah if he could start I wouldn't mind moving Smith inside.
  3. Listening to Kent Sterling. He said Titus Leo looks a lot like Ngakoue but faster and taller. Said Darius Rush stands out.
  4. I see now that his overall experience as a OC really was only 2 years in Detroit. Everything else he's done has been in lesser roles.
  5. Doesn't take long at all if you've been on a good offensive team. He's been around the league for a little bit of time now. Not a dinosaur by any means, but I'd have to think there's been some offers. He's worked under some good QBs and schemes. It took Sirriani like a season or two here before teams started coming with the HC offers. I just wonder what Cooters level of interest in becoming a head coach really is. I don't quite believe the opportunity hasn't been there.
  6. Ever notice that Cooter hasn't ever tried to be a head coach? At least as far as I can remember. If he's good here I'm hoping he's like Tom Moore and sticks around for a while bc he doesn't desire to be a HC.
  7. Have always liked Chris. Have never thought he needed to be fired. Not even once.
  8. Wonder if we'd have any interest in adding Leonard Floyd?
  9. Our WRs are okay to me but I still think we lack some explosion. I do like our TE Room though! Im very curious to see how much we get Richardson going with the Tight Ends.
  10. This sounds like one of those "Why hasn't Ballard been agressive, move to #1 and sell the whole farm to go get our quarterback" arguments. Turns out Ballard knew what he was doing when he stayed at #4. And from that move he got the best player in the draft just like he said he would, and we drafted 12 players. Why am I saying this? Because maybe they've assessed the OL situation properly as well. Jeff Saturdays whole purpose for being the interim head coach in my opinion was to give Irsay and Ballard a first hand assessment of what the OL issues were and tell them if it was schematic or personnel related. He made moves to fix the issues. One of those was to put in a consistent lineup of guys, build continuity and simplify things. They started to play better as the season moved along. I think whatever he recommended we moved along with that and have included that in whatever strategy we used in the draft. Also for whatever we are doing right now. Im saying all this to say Im sure Ballard is very in tune with why we have not signed a veteran guard like you want. Just because there were problems last year doesn't mean Ballard is incompetent for not doing what we think is the solution for the problem. They may feel we already have that answered. Who knows, but it's not time to panic.
  11. The thing is we have a nice rotation of interior pass rushers. When you have that then you don't have as big of a need to have big names at Edge. Even though we don't have big names we've got nice athletes on the edge between Paye, Ekubam, Lewis, Odeyingbo. They will get plenty of 1 on 1s bc of the interior pass rush coming from Buckner, Adebowore, Odeyingbo. Even Lewis slides inside at times. I think we will be fine.
  12. What does any of that have to do with how the players responded to the matchup in that game? Zero
  13. Leo is more versatile. He can play LB and Edge.
  14. I think the Jeff Saturday hire was primarily to see if he could fix the offensive line problem. To find out if it was more personnel related. Or something more related to scheme and coaching. I do think Irsay was also helping Jeff with his coaching career, but overall I think it was a move to get first hand data from Jeff regarding what the real cause of the problem was and what needed to be done to fix it. Saturday was the main person Irsay reached out to during that Pats game trying to figure out what was going on with the OL. Irsay hired him and he was able to get a consistent lineup in place and settle things down. I'm sure he made some specific recommendations to Ballard and Irsay based on his experience coaching the team. He had already been consulting from the outside anyway.
  15. The LB Titus Leo who they drafted looks pretty good to me and like you said we've got Doman. Colts have done pretty good with the LB they've drafted low for the most part. I'm sure we've probably got somebody else from the UDFA who may pop as well. For Guard I think Ekiyor will be stiff competition for Fries. It's year 2 for Pinter so he may also have gotten stronger and more experienced enough to step in temporarily in case of injury also. You can slide Smith there too if need be. Vet route is possible also. I think at least one of those depth tackles that we drafted may end up on the PS. I think we may bring in another Veteran swing tackle.
  16. To me when teams go over seas they don't even play with the same energy. It's like the trip takes all the gas out of them.
  17. Yeah I don't agree. Anybody who watched Colts vs Pats when Wentz was here would tell u that's not true. Was clearly a rivalry. It's not dead. I'd much rather have that game played here than over seas.
  18. There was not any/many good teams in the AFC South through much of Lucks time. Especially early on. It was easy to win the South. My post was just to jug with Rich bc his stance is ironic being that he had no faith in Richardson during most of the pre draft process. He didn't want him at all. Now we have the guy he didn't want and he's expecting we will win many games. Its ironic! Me personally I think we will win 7 or 8 bc most rookies struggle. That's more likely to happen than winning 11 games. If we win more than my prediction I'm fine with that too.
  19. I'm cool with it but I think it should be a different opponent. You gotta do Colts vs Pats here in the states. Not going to have the same emotional intensity from the fans about the rivalry in Germany!
  20. Are you the same guy that said you didn't want a 50 Percent Passer? And now that we have the 50 percent passer you now are setting the bar high with him leading your team at QB?
