It's very hard to assess "a product's' value with money in any business. The natural tendency is to overestimate its (your) worth in a competitive marketplace, but that gets established by whatever someone is willing to pay (or overpay). Examples: the stock market and the real estate market. If you over-estimate your worth, you can lose a fortune and your reputation. If you underestimate, you leave money on the table. That's life.

Being an agent requires navigating dangerous waters, and Malki Kawa is running the rapids without a helmet. The framework in which negotiations take place is more constrained than most people (including players, owners and agents) want to admit. Finding the right balance between competing interests isn't pretty - like watching sausage being made. There are tipping points, at which one side decides the alternatives are better than the other. It seems we may have arrived at that point. Sad, because I always liked Taylor.

Sadly, given Taylor's injury, it has probably gone too far. Taylor now changes his name to Jonathan Kaepernick Taylor and tries to find a career not in football. His actions give other teams leverage for bottom feeding unless they are desperate.

It's really not worth it to watch the wheels fall off a football team when they have mentally given up. It's even worse when that team has a lot of underdeveloped talent. Maybe that is more a statement about coaching and team culture. Hopefully, now that will change.
