This is the best example of 'quiet quitting' by a team that I've ever seen. There is cancer in the Colts organization and firing the wrong people will only make it worse. Keeping the wrong people will also make it worse.
For Ballard (or any GM) this game is far more complex than it looks. There are many aspects of the game that no one can control. Even lost opportunity costs have lost opportunity costs, and delayed gratification cannot be postponed indefinitely.
