And we've had about 95% attendance....
Just sayin....
The camp next week is mandatory so he'll be here for that.

After living in Cleveland 6 years and seeing the ineptitude of their front office despite who was there...I have to say that drafting Brandon Wheedon had to be 1 of the dumbest 1st round picks I've ever seen in my life...I can see McCoy starting for them eventually this season...
Colt McCoy?? Colt no longer is a Brown. Weeden wasn't that bad of a pick, albeit not a first rounder though. He reminds me of an older Andy Dalton. Give him some experience and someone to throw the ball to and I think he'll be fine. Hopefully Josh Gordon can be a consistent target for him.

Cory NEEDS to be in Miami tonight!! Hell, suit that man up!

I can't help but wonder how good our secondary would look with Davis, Toler and Powers..
I'd much rather go with Butler as the #3 DB.
-
I see Franklin has made the most recent ota's. he's in the pics from tues. stoked to get him out there rotating with champman. Speaking of, if Nevis is weighing g 310 champman looks way bigger standing side by side!
Chapman is without a doubt 320-330. BEAST

There aren't many #1 shutdown CB's Sherman,Revis,Haden,Peterson,Tillman, Taylor, and Bailey. Here's the #2 CB's Cromartie,Joseph,Browner, Rogers,Finnegan,Talib,Webb,Carr,Williams and Flowers. Just because he's the best CB on our roster doesn't make him a #1 shutdown CB in the league. I think Vontae is more of a great #2 CB which isn't bad some teams don't have that i.e Jags,Titans,Saints,Panthers,Bills,Dolphins,Eagles,Redskins,Lions, and Vikings.
Tillman, Taylor, Bailey......? Tillman and Taylor, NO, and to be honest NEVER have been considered with the elite. Bailey absolutely was, 2-3 years ago.

I think Luck should be higher than RGIII. Take Alfred Morris away from RGIII it's a different situation. With that said Luck put up better numbers than RGIII (except interceptions - but threw more passes) last season. Everyone is on the Kaepernick, Wilson and RGIII bandwagon.....at the end of the day it will be Luck and Wilson to succeed.
Ballard would have done the same in that offense. That scheme with Shanahan is a RB's dream.
-
With that picture of Chapman, I don't see him being 315. I would not be surprised if he's 325-330.
-
Give me +8.5 ALL DAY. I'm going to have to look that up and the odds involved.
-
I think you could make an argument that it wasn't. PFF has stats to show that RG3 had less time before he's sacked, by ~.4 of a second, than Luck did even with Washington being less of a vertical team than Indy was.No they didn't. Their pass blocking was above average.
The scheme/offense Washington masked A LOT of their deficiencies where our scheme/offense exploited ours. That was my main problem with Arians.
Edit: Worded the above wrong about time to throw, should have been time before player is sacked.

From a player's perspective. Aren't they the ones who vote on it? So if he's that low, then they didn't think to highly of him in 2012
That's all well and good but I was referring to your comment in that you said "he sucked" to which he actually had a very good year despite being injured.
-
Super Bowls had nothing to do with the list. It's based on how you performed in other player's eyes for the 2012 SEASON. So yes, Big Ben sucked this year as did the Steelers as a whole. That is why he was low on the list
You may want to actually go take a peek at Ben's stats before saying he sucked. He had a very good year and probably one of his best. Had he not been injured it easily could have been the Steelers in the playoffs instead of the Bengals.

For those of you who don't go to the front page of the website as your routine.... perhaps you come into the forum menu page.... if you haven't seen the picture on the front of the Colts.com website, I think you're missing something special....
It's Pagano at practice with his arm around a player who I think is Bethea, but I could be wrong. Most of you know these guys by face better than I do....
Either way, it's not just a good football picture, it's just a great picture -- period.
It really captures the personality of Chuck Pagano and why players love the guy!
(Sorry, I'm not skilled to insert a picture in this page, so you have to click on the link to see it. It's #1 on the sequence)
Yep that's Bethea.

Health is key, and IF they are healthy, and with the additions that were made, I believe they will be top-15 across the board.
-
I still believe they are all giddy about him even falling to us. I think Werner and Jarvis Jones, presuming he can stay healthy, were the safer and most ready pass rushers of the first round.

You need to change screen name to Bleedburgundy8792
There was a Bleedblu8792 on cbs Indy Colts board he was for BobbyG also.
I believe he's totally wrong, BobbyG is a fad like when M.Vick came into the league, everybody got a thrill up their legs when he runs like M.Vick and if M.Vick wasn't in prison for 2 years his body would have been used up by now and so the dog fight extended his career and not very bright people gave him a huge contract and thus so it was a great move on his part dog fighting and killing the badly injured dogs. BobbyG is on his 3rd knee and will be on his 4th after next season in the off season if they let him run like last year, if everybody remembers my arguments with BobbyGIII on here and told him even before the concussion that he would get hurt and he got hurt 2 times and the second was the clincher, there is nothing wrong with running when a play breaks down like A.Luck did often cause the o-line stunk up the joint, A.Luck was the smarter of the 2 for going out of bounds when he had to to be safe for the next play. The Baylor/Nevada zone read option gimmick offense works in college since players are not as good on a team as a whole. The NFL is the best of the best and it won't work after it gets figured out just like that wildcat gimmick, yea it caught teams off guard the year before last, but last year is wasn't as effected and not used very much and the same will happen with the Baylor/Nevada zone read option gimmick offense.....
Again, just my OPINION... :}
Go Colts!!!!!
Same guy...
We aren't going to rehash this again, but your insecure arguments remain the same ie. comparing him to Vick (presumably because he's a black QB who can run). However, I was referring to his pure "passing" ability as an overall QB which it's obvious you missed.
I will say it again; I have no problems with Luck nor him being the QB of the Colts. I will support him regardless and look forward to him being a multi-time champion, hopefully. My preference on who I thought was better was just different than the majority of the fan-base.
Back to the original topic, Luck doesn't seem like the one to let what other people are doing affect him in any way. Unless you are affiliated with him or the team, you probably don't matter.

and that's a penalty nowadays..
Which is sad. They are turning this into the NBA. As a Pacer fan, its sad to see how "soft" that players and league is getting. The NFL is heading in that same direction.
That hit by Darrel Reid is easily one of the top-5 hits of ALL time.
-
Why do you prefer him over Luck?
From a pure passing stand-point, he reminds me a lot of Aaron Rodgers (reads and reacts VERY quickly), plus his mobility in and out of the pocket is on a whole different level. I would have loved to see him indoors on field-turf. I just believe he's a better overall QB than Luck is and once the Redskins let him sit in the pocket and pass the ball 25-30 times a game it will show.
Again, just my OPINION...
-
Okie dokie your right about the very few of you part lol
However, I am glad Luck has Grigson as a GM who is doing eveything he can make to sure he's surrounded with a great team. I would have liked to have seen Peyton have that same opportunity, however it may have meant no Reggie or Dallas. Ah well. I look forward to watching another great team for the next 10+ years, hopefully.

George Bremer(@gmbremer)
UCLA CB Sheldon Price made a couple of solid plays in coverage. #Colts
George Bremer(@gmbremer)
UCLA CB Sheldon Price did a nice job in coverage again, but Sam Houston St. CB Daxton Swanson made the day's best defensive play. #Colts
It's "rookie" mini-camp. Those guys are going against other UDFA's and rookie's. It's great they are raving about them, but I would take it with a grain of salt. Lets see what they do against the "men" on the team and go from there.
-
Not sure wat your getting at here would you rather have RG3?
I will leave it at this: Yes, I prefer him over Luck, and no I don't believe the Redskins team, as a whole, was any better than the Colts' last year.
-
I just hate when ppl try to tell me that RG3 is better then Luck it's just a dumb statement IMO anyone who can't see that RG3 and Wilson didn't have it easier has to be blind as a bat
There are those of us (very few) who believe differently. Luck is with the Colts, so I don't have much of a choice, and will support him, but again I have a difference of opinion. No homer shades needed...

Can't see Chapman starting at this juncture in his recovery and at this level in the NFL. Not with the injuries he had, way too serious and devastating. I think he needs more time off and should not be practicing with the first-teamers. Rest that injury Chapman, please!! We don't need another Steve Entman.
I'm pretty sure that ~2 years of recovery/rehabilitation is enough for an ACL tear.

Tweet from Kevin Bowen:
Just some comments regarding the rookies or does it have bigger implications?
The thing with Ijalana is that he can play both tackle spots, and probably better than Thornton and probably better than any other backup, while also being able to play inside as well. If he's healthy, he can be VERY valuable depth.
Interesting new fits for Colt's defense.....

I can't really recall any exceptional corners that Ed Reed has played behind either.
