Great to hear he's ahead of schedule but I'd still love to add some talent to the DL in the draft. I'd love to build that nasty DL that opposing offenses fear. I'll make a more elaborate post regarding that soon.

Agreed.  Need to add aN T and a DE, preferably one who can rush the passer.

I think it's considered an upset because at this point it's pretty much assumed that NE had all of Denver's offensive and defensive playcalls recorded and memorized.  They probably had a copy of Denver's playbook too.  It's also likely that Denver's lockerroom was bugged (that one was very tricky for Belichek to pull off).

I highly doubt it's he's doing it because he doesn't like him. I'm sure it's for motivation.

He said stuff like "great regular season qb, struggles in the playoffs"

And said it wasn't his fault for the porter interception. He keep saying bad stuff about peyton.

It hurts peyton to sit next to Eli at the table knowing he has more super bowl rings than him. -reggie

How are these "shots"?  They are all completely true.

The Texans are the better all around team and are more suited to carry the team with a backup subpar QB.  The Colts are not.  If the Texans could have picked up a guy like Brees in FA (I guess it's still not out of the question, but the indication is that he's staying), they'd be a dangerous team.

    Ya think?

I'd say anyone who picks up the guy who led the NFL in passing yardage would be dangerous.....lol

Get a grip dude.    Those players and coaches are far better at what they do than you are at what you do.      Sack less hack indeed

Maybe Pagano can play that card during his exit interview after Irsay cans him and that entire Pop Warner staff of his in about a month or so for not being good enough at their jobs:  "Hey Jim, I clearly lack the football acumen to be a head coach at this level.  Although i'm very strong at clapping and pumping my fists, i've demonstrated no ability whatsoever of being a competent in game strategist.  I was supposed to be a defensive guru, but ever since i've been here, the defense hasn't been anything other than atrocious.  But "jvan1973" says that I am better at my job than this big meanie who posts on the Colts.com forum is at his, so I will walk out of this office with my head held high."

The players and coaches aren't going to lay down to try to secure a better draft position

Yeah.  They're going to lay down because they are sackless hacks who have already laid down the past 2 weeks.

  7. This Colts team and the coaching staff that is in place are complete garbage.  They will lay down like gutless punks the rest of this season, just as they have the last 2 weeks.  I really don't understand how any of these stiffs actually accept paychecks for the performances they have been putting on and then look at themselves in the mirror afterwards.  They are complete embarrassments to themselves and to the city they represent.

The Texans absolutely suck, and they will still win this game easily:  say 30-13.  How any of you can watch this team the last 2 weeks and think they will come anywhere near a victory again this season is beyond me.

  8. I don't see the similarities between Grigson and Polian. Polian never invested in FAs to the extent that Grigson has.  Polian was more focused on the draft and was pretty good at it.  While he wasn't always likable, Polian instilled organizational discipline that's currently missing.  They are similar in terms of investing more heavily in offense than defense but that's about it IMO.

    Well, until 2007 he was.

  9. Making excuses is the exact opposite of what he is doing. And, honestly, there are plenty of excuses to be made for him, but he'd be the last one to make them.

I didn't say he was making excuses.  I said his talk is cheap.....which it is.  The people on this message board and supporting him in this thread are the one's making excuses.

Shut up, win games and quit turning the ball over.

  10. Yeah, you guys might as well not watch the game.  Most of you are convinced we'll get trashed, so why bother?

That's exactly right. We are going to get trashed.....again.....so i'm not going to bother watching.

But you do know we don't have to play with 9 guys on defense, right? We do have other professional athletes that play the positions.

Right again. Unfortunately the 2 professional athletes that we have replacing these injured individuals suck at playing football.

On a completely unrelated note, I was reading the Patriots boards. They lost their SB winning defensive backfield and replaced them with some guys they found wandering around the stadium. But they don't seem to be giving up on their team.

That's because they have a coach who has won multiple Super Bowls on their sideline. Our headcoach is a glorified cheerleader who's football acumen is approximately 1/50th of that of Bill Belichek.

Cheers. Enjoy watching this mediocre team and their garbage coaching staff get blown off the field again this week.

  11. Good.....he brings very little to the table.

This guy was supposed to be some sort of defensive guru, but his defenses consistently suck *.

There are hundreds of guys we can bring in to do what Chuck Pagano does: stand on the sideline, watch Luck do his thing, and clap their hands.

Get rid of the small timer in Pagano;  bring on a dynamic head coach who can win a Super Bowl, like Jon Gruden.

  12. Sweet!  And you all were concerned about our DL!  I bet all those fears are gone now that we snatched up Billy Winn.  Earl Okine, Billy Winn, TY McGill, David Parry......our opponents are shaking in their boots when they look up and see those names.

A+ job on these interior lines since you took over Grigson.....we are stacked now;  Now if he could only bring in a former 6th round pick from the 2012 draft to come in and shore up our OFFENSIVE line like Winn will our defensive line, then we'd be set.  I'm thinking someone like Jason Slowey.

  13. All I know is that teams will be picking up somebof the Colts cuts this year.

There are players that can play in this league that wont make this team.

Not disagreeing......but who are you referring to?

  14. Are you blind?! Or even watching the game or the games this preseason, or are you just naturally a negative Nancy. Or based on your name, youre anti grigs.

Tk is right, the cut to 53 is gonna be the hardest in years

Eeeeeasy there.  Not agreeing with the OP, but most of the cuts are pretty obvious.  Definitely a few that'll go down to the wire though, for sure.
