He has to start playing better....I dont know what the problem is..
....but you start thinking that he hasnt really played well in very many games..
..he hasn't played in very many games....and they've got some rough ones ahead..at Oakland ..
at Green Bay..at Denver...(at the Colts)...
..maybe he isn't quite ready to lead this team to the playoffs...this year
There is no "problem". He simply isn't a very talented of a football player. It's not as though he was some established entity going into this season. There should be no surprise or shame in this, as there are only a handful of franchise qb's on the face of the planet right now. Osweiler, like many others, just isn't one of them.

The garbage job Grigson has done in acquiring defensive players via FA and the draft, and Pagano's extremely limited coaching acumen, is what's affecting the defense.
-
Prediction: people on here will continue to predict that the Colts win the division, even though the product that team has put on the field has looked like nothing other than a 4 win team since the moment the football was kicked off on opening day.
-
I wanna see PFF's grades for our head coach and our GM. Get rid of those 2 bottomdwellers, and we have enough pieces for someone competent to step in, have a good draft and make smart FA aquisitions, and be right back in the thick of things next season.
-
Weird....since Luck has never played for a Colts team that's even so much as finished worse than .500.

Dorsett will definitely be better than that. It was only one game. He had 90+ yards as the third target in the first game.
I sure hope you are right.

No Dorsett, no Colts win.... this is why I have been screaming for a veteran WR on our roster since TC....argh! I predicted at least 1 of our big 3s would be out long term and we'd be a minor injury away from.....well...THIS.... I wish I could find that post....
Exactly right. Inexcusable that Grigson went into this season with such poor depth at WR.

Just saw that Dorsett is questionable with an ankle as well. Must have injured it in practice today. Hopefully he can still play.
No big deal at all if he doesn't play. I'm sure there are numerous people who could step in for Dorsett and take his whopping 4 targets and match his stellar statline of 3 catches for 27 yards from last game

I doubt after 2 injuries and this much missed time that he is very effective anymore.

Has Jacksonville suffered the amount of injuries at key positions as the Colts Have? Somehow I don't think so.
I guess there is no excuse whatsoever to lose on Sunday then.

The Colts being a good team is yet to be established one way of another.
I guess the same can be said of Jacksonville, or anyone else then, no?

If we lose to the Jags that is pathetic because they are not a good team at all that a team we should beat and I mean beat down.
We aren't a good team at all either, and i'm pretty sure Jax feels this is a game they should win too.

Jax 38

Great news. Vontae and Cromartie, with Robinson in the slot should buy some time for our DLine to get some pressure up front.
As Cory and Anderson get back into game shape (and barring further injuries), we should hit our stride by the time we meet Charles and the Chiefs. Gonna need some run stuffers for that one.
D is looking very promising!
Who's Cory?

No, you said or inferred that JJ played for a 2nd tier organization simply because Watt got injured after he was medically cleared to play. So, by that logic, since Manning was an elite player injured in 2011 that our franchise had no idea what it was doing with a star marquee player either sir.
Both foolish assertions. You know it, I know it, & everybody else on this forum knows it. The specific injury in question means absolutely nothing.
lol....what does this even mean?
Lets see if you can figure out the difference, dummy:
Watt, major surgery on July 21, plays on September 11th.
Manning, major surgery on May 23, misses entire season.
Yep.....handled the exact same.

If JJ is cleared by the doctors & Watt has had limited practice up until then with no complications, what do you expect Bill O'Brien to do? Wait for your approval? LOL!
So, when Manning was hurt in 2011, did that make INDY a 2nd rate organization too? Just curious...
The Colts had Manning play in a regular season game 6 weeks after having back surgery in 2011?

So, you went to med school & are the medical staff in Houston eh? Please...
You are entitled to your opinion naturally MD75, but you'll forgive me if I don't dance all over his NFL grave right now. Lingering back problems can complicate an athlete's performance sure, but you're taking far too much glee or satisfaction in such news in my estimation.
Yeah.....because you had to have gone to medical school to legitimately speculate that someone who engages in one of the most grueling, physically demanding occupations on earth at an incredibly high level, might never be the same after having a major back injury.

At what point do we stop saying "he just needs time" while a ton of rookie, and 2nd year WR continue to make a significant difference? This is a legit question Bc I'm curious.
People don't want to admit this was another bad pick.....which is was.

Back injuries are bad and can linger for many years. Hopefully it won't effect his career.
Way too late for that sentiment. His career was effected the moment he had surgery in July, and it most definitely is effected now that this is happened.
In all likelihood, the JJ Watt that we all know is done for.

Yeah.....they'll go 7-9 instead of 9-7 now.

Blythe - has seen very limited action, too early to tell, BUT, he threw a key block on one of the rushing TD's as part of the jumbo package against the Chargers
Clark - was always a project, we'll see as the year goes on
Farley - with his pedigree as a Captain at ND (including their two Championship runs) he has been solid in his ST role and backup to the backup role in the secondary - even playing nickel last week versus Denver. Not bad for a dumpster dive pickup
Ferguson - has been pretty good in his role (so far) out of the backfield in the two-minute drill
Green - plays hard and fast and is still learning on the job. Considering the 50/50 projections on him as to whether he was a "project" pick - I think he has played surprisingly well thus far
Haeg - next to Kelly, this guy is a polished lineman and I think its only a matter of time before he's starting at either spots on the right side (probably RT)
Kelly - STUD - enough said
Maggitt - looks good out there so far in limited action - may be the steal of the UDFA class this year and successor to Walden next year
Morrison - needs work on his coverage abilities, but does not look overmatched in the middle
Ridgeway - has been involved in the DLine rotation from day one and hasn't really flashed but hasn't killed us either - I do remember one solid play from him versus Detroit
Rogers - made a great play on the ball in the Chargers game - except for the pass interference of course, but, hasn't really been used too much yet to judge
All of these guys, coupled with last years crop of Anderson, Bray, Dorsett, Edwards, Geathers, Good, McGill and Perry are starting to form a younger nucleus to combat the older FA signings....
All in all, a couple of really solid years so far from Grigson and Company
Who's Edwards?

Nobody wants to talk about Cromartie being offsides on that blocked PAT?

The fact that you stand alone in your opinion says it all.
Who on earth says I stand alone? Venture outside of a message board once and a while and see if any successful, well adjusted individual in the general public thinks it is healthy to cry about your football team losing and actually letting it affect your day to day life?

Bwaaha. They are the worst offensive team in the NFL. They have a good WR, and a rookie WR who looks like he may be good, if he can adjust to the adjustments that are now being made on him. They certainly do not have "a lot of good offensive weapons" though.
