You watch a program like "The People Vs. OJ Simpson" on FX & you wonder how far we have come as a society regarding race relations, our viewpoint of the police depending on the community a person resides in, & if the same case with a similar NFL celebrity accused of murder & domestic violence would have the same legal outcome in 2016. I hope we are more understanding of cultural differences today, but tensions don't disappear overnight do they? 

It was strange to watch members of OJ's legal team argue over the best course of action for their client. Should they cut a deal & pursue a plea agreement or put the LAPD on trial for prejudice & challenge the validity of forensic science & how blood & other DNA evidence was collected by law enforcement personnel? 

I wonder what Marcia Clark is doing today & whether or not she can put the OJ Simpson case behind her now? Is it something she regrets participating in because her side lost such a monumental case or can she compartmentalize the experience by just saying that case doesn't haunt me or define who am I at this stage in my life?
