If we had Lamar, the Colts would have had to shed enormous contracts to accommodate his salary. It wouldn’t have been a matter of adjusting a few contracts here and there. The roster would be different. Not saying the Colts wouldn’t have been better with him, just that the roster would have had to be different. By the way, saw a story yesterday that two franchises showed but neither made offers. Just two.

If the fix was in, we’d have known by now.

Pickens appears to be the guy that someone invented the phrase…. “Million dollar talent. 10 cent head.” Pickens not only failed to block for his teammate for fear of getting hurt, afterwards, he freely admitted it! Didn’t seem to understand what the big deal was. Supremely talented. But a strange mind.

How? Why? The how is in the season ending press conference. Not hard to do. Ask questions. The why? As I said in my previous post, I doubt the Colts have had 8 total suspensions in Ballard’s previous 6 years combined. Now, suddenly, in one year there are 8 suspensions? Why? What’s different? What has changed internally that there’s a dramatic change in player behavior. For a team that proudly puts a premium on character what is different that this year is 180 degrees different from all the other years.

Clearly something has changed. Your list is 8 deep. Not sure the Colts have had had 8 players suspended total in Ballard years from 2017 leading up to this year. So something is very different. But I don’t know what it is? And neither does anyone else. And I hope Ballard is asked about it early in his season ending news conference. It should be one of the first 3-5 questions he’s asked about. And if there isn’t a good answer there should be a good follow up. He needs to be confronted about this.

Just one of many, many reasons why I rarely gamble! Perhaps a half dozen times I my lifetime!

Really a very proud Colts fan today. Everyone played hard and smart. Thats all you can ask. I think the kids are getting better by playing meaningful games in late-December. I’ll sleep well tonight. Hope others will too.

I’m a big fan of Antonio Pierce. Liked him as player and now as a coach. He always has had a reputation as a leader of men. And I say that as highest praise. If the Raiders didn’t have Pierce as their HC I’d feel much better about our chances Sunday. But with him leading the way, I think this game is pretty much a toss-up. Hoping our home field advantage is the difference.

Goodness! A belated X-mas gift! You’re incredibly kind and of course you know the warm feelings are very mutual! But let’s come clean for all who are curious…. But I don’t see the need to rush to judgement just because you want answers NOW. It’s ok to NOT know for a while. The answers should come soon enough. But your Decker guess is only a guess. And I think the odds that Decker going from Hero to Zero are very, very small.

He’s a 6th round player who played as a rookie, and started as a second year player. Once you show talent, no one cares what round you were drafted. Rogers was 6th round talent. And once the Colts cut him Philly claimed him. It happens when you have talent and Ogletree does.

I don’t think Ogletree is a fringe roster guy. I think he’s a promising young player. I think it’s too early to know how long any possible suspension might last.

Ut appears Ogletree got physical with his wife/girlfriend. Got himself arrested. May end his Colts career.

I haven’t seen any story that it’s because of comments about Taylor. Instead, what I’ve read is that Michaels has (in the eyes/ears of his bosses) has been doing a poor job. That he takes good games and calls them way too subdued, as if he’s bored or the game is beneath him. Like he’s going thru the motions. Its a shame if this is how his career ends….
