  1. Not sure that's completely true. There have been litigations that were at least started against teams for cuts that were said not to be football related . Josh Lamb would be one and Chris Klue would be another. Neither amounted to much . I'm not an attorney and perhaps I over stated my feelings . But I think I'l nitpick , as you often do and call you out on that "blanket " statement you made .
  2. Utterly ridiculous for the Colts to cut him considering this ruling. Maybe a lawsuit would follow any such action by the Colts. There is such a thing as innocent until proven guilty.
  3. If the WR draft class is very deep , why would a team give up a 1st or 2 seconds and give Pittman 25 mill a year ? Also I highly doubt Indy just lets him walk as a FA. Ballard has all but said they will either tag him or sign him to a new contract.
  4. You would be getting 2 #1 picks for Jefferson in that trade. With a QB like Williams available , that pick is worth at least 3 first round picks. Probably even a touch more.
  5. The number I keep seeing for tagging Pittman is like 20.8 million.
  6. This is stuff we don't know . It's all part of why he was suspended and I don't think I've ever read anyone saying he shouldn't have been.
  7. Show me .... I don't think you saw that. Anyway ... here's something whether or not true , we dont know. "One of the bets placed was a $1,000 prop bet on the over/under rushing yards by Jonathan Taylor. The bet hit but Rodgers says it was someone else using his account. “That report is true, with it being $1,000, but that wasn’t made from my device. At the time it was placed, I was actually on the field warming up for a game,” Rodgers said."
  8. Agree but I would bet like $100 to win $20 that he bet the over. If not , there would be an even bigger "stink" going on. I was sick to see the Colts lose Rodgers but in all fairness that kind of bet really is taking advantage of inside information. If the gameplay was to run the daylights out of Taylor that game , Rodgers has a huge advantage making that bet. If the gameplay was the opposite and he bet the under , I'm guessing the league would suspend him to a longer period. But we just don't know ....could be he plays next year and then again maybe not.
  9. My wife and I are in our early 70's and lost our best friend of 151/2 years a couple months ago. The void was so terrible that she went out and bought a new Golden Doodle puppy. The thing has its days and nights mixed up and is terrorizing us. Sorry for being a little harsh in my response to you .
  10. There's betting "on his teammate" and betting "against his teammate." Let's say the line was Taylor at 85 yards. Betting the over would mean he gains over 85 yards. That would be betting ON his teammate. Betting under 85 yards would mean he bet AGAINST his teammate. So ... please show me proof of he bet "against" his teammate. The article you have quoted states the EXACT OPPOSITE. " Isaiah Rodgers Sr. confirmed the abundance of bets he was involved with, and that he won $1,000 for betting on then-teammate Jonathan Taylor." Notice it says he won 1K from betting ON not against his teammate. ON not against.
  11. Where did you get all the inside information on that bet ? saying he bet "against a teammate " is pretty reckless and most likely not true. I've read a few articles and find nothing to support your conclusion that he bet against Taylor . Considering the year that taylor had , I would think the bet he cashed was on the over and not the under.
  12. For me the "pain" from the Houston loss is pretty much over. I said a couple days later , that it stung but the Colts were better off losing that game. Not only do we get an easier schedule ( play Pitt , Giants and Denver , rather than Baltimore , Dallas and KC) but the draft capital gained may have been huge. If we had beat the Cleveland team that laid that giant egg in Houston , we would be drafting 27th rather than 15.
  13. Mitchell does look like a nice option if available in the second. However , Kiper and others have him going late first -early second.
  14. His shoulder took the impact of the hit . Laughable that you would call that a "routine" hit. What is your point with Stroud's concussion ? Not following your logic ... but could be there is none here ?
  15. That is not true. The tackle by Landry was not a routine hit . The concussion was a result of him not protecting himself and the bang his head took off the astro turf was not "routine."
  16. Neither one of those injuries indicates that he is injury prone. The concussion was his head bouncing off artificial turf and the shoulder injury was just an unfortunate tackle. I would think just about any player would have come out of that with a shoulder that needed repair.
  17. History no doubt is on your side.
  18. If Ballard moves up to draft Bo Nix , I will donate $1000 to your favorite charity.
  19. You lost track of our thread I believe. That was sarcasm.
  20. I guess you can make a case for drafting a kicker as Gay missed some FGs ?
  21. Hard to get your point as there is no need for the Colts to select a QB at pick 1.15. Sure , you can make a case for anything., IMO , it would take Ballard having a lobotomy to do so. What QB at 15 would possibly be a better prospect than AR ? I understand what your saying as your really not smarter than I am . What i'm saying is there is no case to select a QB at that point in the draft . It's laughable as it would be QB # 4 or 5 in this draft. Comprende ?
  22. If it's a million to one , how would you make a legitimate case that QB is a "valid" need at pick 1.15. When Mahomes sat on the KC bench in his rookie year , did anyone think QB was a "need ?" I get your point but don't agree that QB would be a need for the Colts. I do agree that you can make a case for OL , DL , LB and secondary. TE only if Bowers fell.
