  1. Like comparing a blacksmith to a brain surgeon.
  2. Being one of the posters that thought he was deserving , I have an answer to those that didn't. He deserved the contract as he's very good at football. Yes Moss gained similar yardage but Taylor gained his yardage with no running room.
  3. Keep saying the attempt that was not short , short. Maybe it will make it true. 1) 59 yards indoors is not "out of his range." 2) It was not short.
  4. Really not too surprising as we've lost Gilmore from last year and Rodgers , Flowers and Brents this year. Forgetting Gilmore , we are playing without our top 3 CBs .
  5. Looks like a no go to me. Probably needed a limited today to be on tract for a return. That looked to be pretty serious when it happened and evidently it was.
  6. Other than me thinking DH is still very good , I agree with you.
  7. If you watched the game , you would better understand why many are saying Levis was not good despite the guady passer rating.
  8. Total garbage time stats that gave him the high passer rating. Contributed greatly to them falling behind 27-0 and then 34-7.
  9. So much for passer ratings. Levis was in two words "not good." To me it looks like he was drafted right where he should have been. As for Young , he was a genius not throwing at the combine. Small guy with at best an average arm. Carolina hit the daily double with Reich and Young. That trade was a franchise wrecker. Stroud is no doubt good.
  10. Am I reading something wrong or did Ogletree get a grade in a game he was not active in ?
  11. Head bounced off the turf pretty hard and the guy misses a game. Brutal bad tackle where his shoulder took the brunt of Landry's weight . You now call him Mr Glass ? That and then declare that a 180Lb bust is more durable ? That post should get an award.
  12. Watching Young tonight vs Chicago. This guy looks to be the worst of the 4 by a LARGE margin, It's early and his situation is tough but I'm just replying to the thread.
  13. Especially when your pay is around 18 million per year. I remember when Jack Youngblood played with a broken leg. Missed like 2-3 games in 14 years. Was All Pro year after year. His first contract was 3 years for 105K. Couldn't find what he was making in his prime. I would guess maybe 150K ?
  14. If the Colts were out of playoff contention , that's valid. But for now the object is to win games and if Smith is ready to go , he should IMO play.
  15. The "should have " award goes to the Panthers , not the Colts.
  16. My opinion ... Richardson is worth pick 4 , but risky. Stoud looks like a QB that is the opposite of Richardson. Very high floor but less ceiling than AR. Young , who skipped throwing at the combine , is the sucker pick of the 4 QBs. Panther's gave up WAY too much to overdraft him at pick 1. Levis showed really nice arm talent . Watched last night's game and he wasn't great but made 4-5 really big time throws. Nice bargain for Titans at pick 3 2nd round.
  17. Good throw but Hopkins walled off the DB and may have given him a small shove. On another TD pass to Hopkins , he threw it behind him and Hopkins used his 14" inch hands to secure it. On those 2 passes , I believe most of the credit should go to Hopkins. Let's give him a few more games before we proclaim him the next Dan Marino.
  18. I was and am disappointed that they released Rodgers. What did they have to lose by hanging on to him ?
  19. Agree . Franklin was bad , Leonard was bad and like you said the pass rush was lousy .
  20. He did draft 3 CB's and a safety . Maybe there wasn't a good FA CB that wanted to sign with Indy ? We would look a lot better with Flowers and Brents available.
  21. Not surprising when you figure what we lost from last year and this year. We now have a 7th round rookie and an array of CB's no other team wanted playing on outside. Plus a 7th round Safety that has regressed from his rookie year. Gilmore Rodgers Flowers Brents
  22. Yes , I remember the rule change. As to how much was made of the missed call , it was hardly touched upon. The commentators said nothing and very little brought up on the issue the FG was wide. In defense of the officiating , it was pretty foggy when Chandler MISSED the kick. That's how I remember it anyway. Can't be certain that it unfolded just as I've stated as it was more than 55 years ago. I can't remember what I ate last night ......
