  1. People have bad posts, hours, days, weeks, years, lives... i do recall Ballard effusing over unknown Turay about him being the fastest off the snap at the Senior Bowl. An early eye test Ras? A shame noone has been able to make a football player out of this speed demon. Al Davis kinda move
  2. Irsay definitely used bad lingo regarding being remembered. But he nipped talking heads trying to stir xxxx inside the house by taking all the responsibility. I approve.
  3. Chuckle. You "hope" Ballard's staff has time to look for players to add. Let's "hope" for a backup to Kelly that is also a good guard. And of course a solid T so Freeland can sit. Gasp that it could be a rough season. 100% guarantee you Irsay would be fine with next years #1 pick.
  4. Granson is a terrible blocker. If you don't know it then you never watch him. Definitely worse than a young Dallas Clark.
  5. If indeed Ballard is reliable at sticking to his board, the odds are extremely likely Freeland had a 3rd rd grade by us. Call it anything you care to, i suspect we were very pleased he lasted as long as he did. And he looks to be coming along rather quickly.
  6. The reason was discussed by every news report related to his not signing here on his visit. And in probably at least a few dozen posts here. He had visited several teams that showed interest, meaning there was competition for his services. At least for the next couple years Always ask yourself why would Anyone want to come hear? They want $$, they want to play in a system and for a coach that will use them the way they like, and most want to win. He most likely came here to create leverage for $$ from a team with better prospects this season. If others don't want him he will take our $$.
  7. Actually, we have handled Eik exactly how you do to get him on the PS. O'Donnell is ahead of him as were Pinter and Frank because they are experienced at G and C.
  8. With the endless complaints about the dire consequences for Richardson by going forward with our current RG options, you think fixing the pass rush D in Richardson's face, and significantly improving our interior run blocking by putting Smith at RG outweighs what You anticipate will be Freelands deficiencies at RT. Today, i hope O'Donnell is > than Fries so that Freeland has a few more months to improve. As I am confident that Smith would be a better G than T, I am rooting for Freeland to be one of our 5 best o-linemen asap.
  9. A caveman should be able to comprehend the difference between a 1st rd talent (2nd rd pick) on a rookie contract and a RB wanting huge dollars on a second contract. (FOOLS GOLD)
  10. Hunt would have to include his new long-term contract. So Hunt is the guy Steichen is looking to build his SB team with for 2025 and beyond? I suggest not a chance. That will be someone on a rookie contract, or Smith.
  11. I will accept as truth that he turned down the offer to take his physical. Negotiations ended.
  12. Dallas Flowers looks like the real deal. Mallory reminds me of Doyle. Maybe Carter O'Donnell > Fries? Pierce should have been drug tested after the game. AR's legs make 3rd and 10 feel like 3rd and 5. He fly! We desperately need next years #1 pick. Please please please free Granson. Let him go.
  13. You word this oddly. "am I taking a second". Not sure you are rationalizing this well. You think there is No Way we consumate a deal for only a second. Guess we will see if so or when the equivocation begins. lol I'll Guess he won't sign for less than 4yr 48m. With 22m FGuaranteed.
  14. By 2025 mid-season we should have a fairly fine tuned 8-10 playmakers ready to take on the world. It will be a tough road with no guarantees of course. The new regime will have their program going pretty well by mid 2024, maybe we're a .500 team after then with a few fun upsets.
  15. Of course not. Taylor wanted a big guaranteed laced contract from us, and has used maximum pressure including fan and peer, to get it. All without taking his physical, that he was asked to come in for. The rubber Now hits the road whether he can pass another team's physical. Perhaps you are new to this. Trades do fall through because of failed physicals.
  16. Did some digging. NFL players who are on IR (injured reserve) will get paid, but how much money they ultimately receive is highly dependent on the details of their individual contracts. Players with fully guaranteed contracts will receive the full compensation they were promised in their contract. In the NFL, only powerful players with lots of leverage generally receive fully guaranteed contracts. For players without fully guaranteed contracts, they will still receive some money while on IR, but it’s generally only a fraction of their regular salary. After all, they weren’t available to perform their duty as a player. That’s also assuming the player suffered an injury while performing football activities, like playing or practicing. If a player seriously hurts themselves doing something else, like snowboarding in the offseason, then there’s no guarantee from the team that the contract will be honored at all. Young players with split contracts may also earn money while on IR, but their compensation levels are often tied to whether or not they are on the active 53-man roster.
  17. Well, a 3rd should be high enough to draft his replacement. 👋
  18. Irsay will stand strong foremost with the other NFL owners regarding holdouts. He has put Taylor in check... the next word will come from his agent screaming foul. What wild posts, keep passing the Crack pipe.
  19. Well now, the Only way should have been for AR to take every snap of all the pre-season practices and games if we were really wanting to beat Jax. Don’t care how he feels, what he knows, or how many hours he puts in. He should be out there, or is it in there? "by not playing Richardson, Steichen must think he is ready" This is absurd.
  20. Oops, GoColts8818 has it well covered. So I hope JT is 100% healthy and an NFC hungry wannabe really wants him. So this year's 4.3 salary plus two tags totalling roughly 25m = 3 years just under $10 per. He will agree to something like that #, but praying for as much Fully Guaranteed as he can get before he runs a play.
  21. Based on WR>RB Taylor + 3RD makes more sense. IMO, Miami would quickly say no thanks.
  22. Positive comments (cheer leading) is a healthy way to go through life. Balanced commentary based having some reasonable thinking about pros and cons also reflects better mental health. Nattering nabobs of negativity more often comes from a below level comprehension of FB reality, often combined with probably some other personality disorder/s. People in general deal with some differences/odd takes, some keep it in between the lines better. I am Older, and have my own struggles. A heavy use with Ignore keeps me away from suffering so much with.... Them Kind. Lots of struggles and ugly coming from all levels, as we need a couple seasons of experience with all these young Uns, and a couple really good drafts and FA periods to hopefully one day again being a top 8 upper echelon. Hoping to live to see it.
  23. Fortunately there is clear history that keeping and paying JT would be detrimental to building a team that competes for going to a SB. Numerous other positions are more valuable for this mission. Tough ruck JT.
