  1. No trades. Would have liked to get Junior Colson at LB, but he was gone at 117. Still think the Colts need a better coverage LB.
  2. Sounds like I need to check out Evan Anderson.
  3. Seems like Sweat is there for the taking with our 2nd. Wonder if Ballard would consider pulling the trigger on that?
  4. I mostly agree as well, but would exchange Turner for Odunze. As one of the posters mentioned above, Turner is an amazing player, but I don't think he is a scheme fit.
  5. One of the things I have been thinking about this off-season is the possibility that the Colts don't re-sign Big Grove. Since I am not someone who understands the intricacies of IDL play, who would be the some of the potential replacements in the draft? Is it guys the really big guys like like Sweat from Texas or Jackson from A&M, or is it more like Murphy from Texas or one of the other smaller more athletic guys?
  6. @IndyColtsFan411glad to hear I am not the only one that does constant mocks
  7. It's a tough spot. IMO, FA edge rushers tend to get overpaid vs. their production, so you would prefer to daft one. However, while I am a pro-Chris Ballard guy, he and his staff have not had great success with DE's in the draft.
  8. Great thread going here. To me Van Ginkel would be a very Ballard-esque signing if be believes the kid can really play. Hunter would also be great. If they are keeping Gus with his completely undisguised, soft zone on the back end, you must have a game-wrecker coming off the edge. Otherwise we will get the same thing we got this year. I thought our pass rush was pretty decent, but it is not nearly good enough with our back end scheme.
  9. Solid assessment @Zoltan. I like our youth at CB but would like to see them bring in one decent guy with some experience to help that young room. I think a lot of folks will overlook the need at LB, but it is a need. At the FS position, one of the mocks gave me the opportunity to trade pick #15 for Antoine Winfield. Thought that was a pretty interesting scenario.
  10. While PFF grades are far from a perfect metric, I think they confirm the eye test that the Colts have a pretty good offense. Of course everyone would like to see more electric playmakers, but with AR getting healthy next year, I think some young depth might be all we need on that side of the ball. I'm thinking particularly on the o-line. Hopefully this will be a defensive oriented off-season. Would like to see the Colts get some help at LB (draft), DE (another Ebukam type signing would be phenomenal), and some depth at safety. I Think our young corners will be fine, but would like to bring in a vet to help solidify the room.
  11. Cage match with the Texans with the playoffs on the line? Yes please!
  12. I did Hark Posted June 15 I have one…. 9-8 greatly aided by one of the easiest schedules in the league.
  13. After the penalty against EJ last week, and the fine on our DB (don't remember which one)on the hit two weeks ago, I'm not so sure.
  14. First half observations: freeland needs an offseason in an NFL S&C program to improve. penalty against speed put him and entire defense on their heels. They already play soft, but got worse after that PF it wasn’t just the penalties, but when they occur. We gifted them points
  15. I agree. I think Freeland could be quite viable after an NFL offseason to work on his body.
  16. JK, but I had to get this GIF in the thread.
  17. Nice to see Ogletree and Kelly as full participants as well. Would be nice to get both of them AND JuJu back this week.
  18. If Minshew can stay away from the turnovers I think this roster has enough talent to make the playoffs. Hopefully he has gotten that out of his system.
  19. I like what Steichen has done to create the type of offense Minshew can run
