  1. I can see it. Cap isn't really an issue for us at the moment. Early in off-season it was though Just meant to include that in initial post so did a little follow up.
  2. Something else, we still can clear some cap space if we wanted. Cox - $2.92m savings on release, $5.3m if find a trade partner. @NewColtsFanalso to your point on Nelson trade. Clearly poster had no clue of ramifications on trading Nelson prior to, or during draft. It would of cost us $12.6m more($24.8m) than his 2023 cap hit($12.2m) to do that. To even suggest it, shows they didn't know what they were talking about. Perfect response by you.
  3. Those contracts are easy to compensate for with a QB on rookie deal. Colts are setting around $24m in cap space. About $6,754,282 more in draft picks, so around $17m left. $9,574,282 - picks to sign cap hits - $3,720,000 - players drop below top 51 On the fence on whether or not we will see extensions for Taylor and Pittman? Could see it go either way. Taylor kinda makes sense to let the year play out and go from there. Either re-sign after season, or place Tag on him if unable to come to a deal Always been a little skeptical of the potential cost on Pittman, and with the direction of the offense, I find myself questioning if he fits in going forward. Being a big target could help with accuracy concerns though. Either way we have the money to extend both if we choose to. Moving forward the cap is going to continue to rise and these big cap hits won't seem as bad.
  4. Really excited about Richardson. Athletic traits off the charts. Seems character traits might be even higher The future is bright.
  5. Risner was the name I was looking at post draft as well. But agree with you and Zoltan here.
  6. I had no issue with how it finished. Most important thing at the moment was the health of Hamlin, even if I didn't get a chance to finish out for the Championship. Probably cost me this one, and helped me win another one.
  7. I can definitely agree with this sentiment, I will say I believe a lot of our problems ultimately came from Strausser. Glad he is gone.
  8. Not having our other (4) guys under contract yet isn't a big deal. It isn't hurting anything at the moment. Will be done soon enough. Appreciate you I also have thought this as well, and I'm sure we will, but not doing so, so far, makes me question to what extent.
  9. Best move: Trading back from #35, that turned out to give us the following players for that (1) pick. After making a 2nd/3rd trade down. CB Brents DL Adebawore TE Will Mallory LB Titus Leo *** I text all my friends leading up to day 2 picks and told them only guy I would like at #35 was Porter Jr. Gave them a few trade back options as I liked Brents and Adebawore and was hoping to find a way to get both. Was a great draft, a lot of the things I wanted to happen, and that never happens. Lol. Worst move: I guess I will go with not addressing RG, but I do feel really good about Ekiyor. Also feel there is a chance Smith could move back inside if Freeland can get in a RT. Can afford those (2) guards salaries if Tackles are on rookie deals. Didn't like the Gilmore trade when it went down, but then hearing he potentially asked out, didn't make it as bad. Plus the cap savings was nice. Which at the time kept the Lamar possibility alive.
  10. He has 1/2 sack. Takes hasn't been close to QB off the table.
  11. He stuck his arms up like he was going to do something. Lol
  12. Why they brought Suh and Joseph in this week. Knew they were going to need some help. Didn't help very much that drive
  13. Ahh man, been a quick morning, not quick enough though. Ready for game time. Teams to root for in Week 11: Colts(4-5-1) vs Eagles Bears(3-7)/ or Falcons(4-6) - draft spot Browns(3-6) vs Bills - draft spot Jets vs Patriots(5-4) - Wild card implications Rams(3-6)/ or Saints(3-7) - draft spot Lions(3-6) vs Giants - draft spot Panthers(3-7) vs Ravens - draft spot Texans(1-7-1) vs Commanders(5-5) - trade draft spot and draft spot Raiders(2-7)/ or Broncos(3-6) - draft spot Vikings vs Cowboys - it's the Vikings, duh. Steelers(3-6) vs Bengals(5-4) wild card and draft spot Chiefs vs Chargers(5-4) wild card Cardinals(4-6) vs 49ers draft spot Green Bay already let us down on Thursday.
  14. Probably not. Just to busy to game. I bought a PS5 strictly to play Madden for a couple weeks when it came out. Haven't touched it since like like week 1. Probably going to give it to my nephew for his birthday this week. Lol.
  15. Nah, I have just done a lot of cap work over the years for different reasons. Pretty well versed I think. If Ryan leads us to playoffs he might be back. Dead Cap is one thing. Bottom line is we save $17m against the cap by releasing him. Dead cap doesn't mean to much in that instance. That is a lot of savings.
