  1. All true Only thing I will say is, it's hard to compare a contract signed 4yrs ago to a contract signed now. I understand the exercise, but a tough comparison. He set the market then, and it's only increased since then. He has made substantially more over the last 3 years than Jackson and Hurts. $19m more per year($67m over span) than Jackson, and $25m more per year($75m over span) than Hurts. Rough estimate. Really just think its tough to compare Mahomes last 3yrs + this year, to Jackson and Hurts next 3 years + this year) Now over the next 3 years + this year(23-26), Mahomes is at $38,200,000 a year in new cash. So not very far behind Hurts $39.25m($1.05m more/yr) but a good chunk still behind Jackson $52m($13.8 more/yr) over those 4 years. Just think that is the more appropriate comparison. Mahomes deal was/is pretty team friendly though, no doubt. Will be interesting to see what happens with a potential new reworked deal for him? Could increase his next 4 substantially, depending how it's worked, if it is. Lamar Jackson got himself a pretty good deal for having no agent. Team might regret it in the future. Nice work on the number breakdowns.
  2. He has also been pretty good at finding good ones in the draft. I imagine they will make some mistakes, but they will make some big plays too, and playing time will kick start their growth. I know it doesn't seem like there is high expectations this season, but I think the Colts have a division title in mind. Can it happen? Certainly, just have to see how it plays out. Our run game is going to be top of the league, imo, Richardson and Taylor are going to be tough to contain. The defense should be around top 10 as well I think.(especially if Leonard is back to himself, big IF) Those 2 things point towards a better season than some are anticipating. Losing a top 5-10 rated CB last year, definitely hurts, but I have confidence in the young guys to step up.
  3. Yeah the $249 works out to $13.83 a week for the season. 8-10 games a week, non local. $1.38-$1.73 a game. If you can watch them all, which is technically possible as there is unlimited streams of on same wi-fi.
  4. You can get it without getting the $72 a month package. Just get Sunday Ticket, stand alone package. But it was $350, down from $450, tomorrow. At least that is what I think I saw listed above?
  5. I went ahead and did it. Gonna have 4-5 TVs going every Sunday. Lol.
  6. Yep a year minimum for him. That's the floor, as long as investigation proves guilt, but with his self admission, seems to be just a matter of time. Peters might be too much, not that we don't have some to spend, but that was part of Gilly move, + "alleged" trade request. Still like our current top 5, although they are young, but might just be that type of year. Brents and Rush have some major potential, Flowers has shown that do. I like Jones as well. Agree we still need another vet for the group though.
  7. Yeah either they didn't know initially, like some reports are saying, or they took the 3 CBs for this reason. Would of expected a vet CB to be signed, although expected a vet RG to be signed as well. So who knows. Either way I think Gilmore was gone and don't think they forgot about it.(Rodgers)
  8. I think Gilmore was gone anyway. Been said he requested a trade anyway. We needed that cap savings Pretty big mistake to know and forget that your #1 CB is likely out for the year. Possible, but don't see it
  9. https://sportsdata.usatoday.com/football/nfl/odds/87736 Spread was: +3.5 for Colts -3.5 for Vikings Colts lost by 3. Not much of a gambler, so not sure what money line is(straight up?)? Think total points is pretty clear, what it is. Maybe not, with both teams having different numbers?(total points of each individual team; highest is winner?) Gambling ignorance is a good thing for me I guess. Then prop bets. Who knows there, too many options. Not sure of other spreads throughout the season, but here is that games. So playing the spread here was inconsequential because we had a big lead, no reason to tank and get the score closer.
  10. Nah, that isn't something that's going to slip through the cracks.
  11. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/06/06/isaiah-rodgers-faces-potential-banishment-from-the-nfl/ There's a little bit more to the article Pretty accurate to what the thoughts that have been floating around here.
  12. Yeah, I watched quite a bit of Kentucky football last year just to watch Levis and left unimpressed with all of it. AR seems like the right guy, and I even believe the team when they say they would of taken him #1.
  13. I'm not outside of Indy(so have local broadcast), but I am still considering it today? Especially since you can have unlimited streams going. So if you have enough TV's you could watch all 1pm games if you wanted to. Time is ticking on my decision. Doesn't help my wife was cutting down some branches and stuff in the backyard and cut my line set to my AC, this morning. Just money right. Lol That's what I was thinking too, when he said $350. Haven't looked to confirm yet.
  14. I don't believe Rodgers was tanking games, the guy finished #5 of all CBs in PFF rating. Hard to tank games and play at that high level, saying that, it only takes a play here or there to possibly move the spread. So possibility exist. I think it is logical to think that he bet on the team to win and cover spreads, but the info isn't there right now. If he bet on us to lose, different ball game, although still tough to put those pieces together with the way he played for a season. Again though, it only takes a play here or there to flip the script. Possibility. The fact that he likely bet on games he played in, his suspension will be longer than a year. If he bet for us to lose, his career is over. Might be anyway if he bet on games he played in. Integrity is a big deal @NFLfanI did go back earlier and read through the 2nd half of the Vikings/Colts thread. Interesting read through. No mention of Rodgers, but looking at some of the info posted here, probably should of been. Not that I think he threw the game or anything, but does look like he had a rough 4th quarter like the rest of them. Biggest issue with betting on games you play in, isn't really even about what Rodgers bet. It is, what if he was compromised and getting blackmailed to keep his secret and made someone else a lot of money. Not saying this happened, but looking at what he bet on said games isn't relevant to this possibility. That is the biggest fear for the NFL, which is why I think he is probably done either way, if he did in fact bet on Colts games he played in, win or lose. He only missed the last 2 games so that decreases those odds quite a bit. Doesn't mean those 2 games weren't the only 2 he bet on, hopefully we find out sooner than later. I will say I don't like he handled the fallout. Knew about in February and didn't tell the Colts? Find it hard to believe we didn't know at some point prior to yesterday, but I guess we will see. His statement didn't really take accountability, said he made an error in judgement, it was quite a few(hundreds) errors in judgement. He didn't even apologize to his family in the statement, they are the ones effected the most. Just seem ChatGPT'd to me
  15. Day 2 of OTAs this week. We need a media day, to give us something other than Rodgers to talk about.
  16. Yeah, idk? Think the whole team was tanking that 2nd half. I know I was wanting to lose. Lol. Like has been said a few times in this now very long thread. Could be a shaving points thing. Rodgers could get compromised and blackmailed to where it didn't even matter what he bet. He could of helped someone else get a big payday, for them not exposing his secret.
  17. Probably ChatGPT'd I really didn't like that statement, other than the fact it confirmed who it was. Didn't even apologize to his family in it.
  18. Yep as simple as that No NFL games period Anything else is fine as long as it isn't in the facility.
  19. He could've, my only point was he wasn't playing in any of the games, so he couldn't do something in those games to control the outcome. Rodgers played in 15/17 games last season. Chances are good he played in a game he bet on, if reports are true. Also, it is my understanding that Ridley was completely away from team, no meetings. He needed to step away from football. I'm sure he still had communication with some players and coaches here and there.
  20. I know a few of the Lions had said that. I don't really buy it though, with such stiff consequences, teams are sure to be pumping this info into players. Signs everywhere. Rules are simple, can't bet on NFL games at all, and can't bet on anything while at the facility. Not that hard to comprehend that, trying to use ignorance as an excuse won't go very well for these players.
  21. Rodgers played in 15/17 games last season, so unless he made all the bets in the 2 games he didn't play in, he most likely bet on games he played in. Still a lot to be known, but with the detailed reports and Rodgers statement, I think it is safe to say he is guilty.
  22. Only difference is he wasn't playing in the games, and wasn't even with the team. He had stepped away for mental health reasons.
  23. Also, even if he did bet to win, someone could easily catch wind of it and blackmail him into covering the spread the other way. Losing his bet, but winning someone else a lot of money. Where the integrity thing is huge. Most these sports leagues already have certain perceived integrity issues. Whether it be officiating, Peds or whatever.
