  1. The only thing I don't like about his statement is he said he made an error in judgement. Yeah, like 100 times.
  2. He had made about $2.4m through year 3 of his contract. Probably saw maybe half of that after taxes and agent fees. Sure he went through a good chunk of the remainder. The worst part is he had earned performance escalators, which almost tripled his pay for 2023. $2.7m. Now he won't see a dime of that.
  3. It does suck, it's been settling in with me the last hour and man..... There is only a handful of guys on the team, I wouldn't of wanted it to be instead of Isaiah.... Won't list them out of respect, but the list is only 4-5 players. Rodgers was about to break out, and now potentially may never play again.
  4. @Restinpeacesweetchloe Sorry for giving you hard time earlier when details were scarce.
  5. Yep was just about to post this as well. EDIT: at least I can update the thread title to reflect his name. Was waiting for more confirmation.
  6. Definitely a big loss. I do like our rookie CBs. I think Brents and Rush are going to be studs. I like Flowers too. Kenny, meh, he has to prove it again.
  7. Only problem with that is, Ridley bet on the Falcons to win, only difference is he wasn't playing in the games he bet on.(if I remember correctly) That's a big difference though. You're right though, could of been a bunch of different actions he took in a game to beat the spread. I'm fully expecting a suspension longer than a year either way, if found to be true.
  8. Now he's going to ask for more money again. I imagine we bring in a vet, but it begs to question, why haven't we already. We've clearly known about this since before the draft. Just glad we took 3 of them.
  9. Would have to have the details of what games he bet on and the outcome. Not sure we will ever see it. He usually just balled out. Think he was #8 PFF CB last year.? I sure hope the media is at OTAs tomorrow, we need some different news to look at....
  10. Definitely doesn't Dulin is a lock, as I think McKenzie is as well. To much SPT value and McKenzie might end up starting in the slot, worse case is he is main slot backup. Perriman would be the 6th to make the roster, if he happens to.
  11. What is truly sad is the league and owners making crazy money from legal gambling. I guess a small % is going towards the cap. Not an excuse for the players, as they've already essentially hit the lottery by making it to the league. Just bonehead decisions, especially after already seeing the repercussions play out on Ridley.
  12. Yeah, I don't see how he ever plays again if he bet on us to lose. And with how the year went, it wouldn't be a very smart move to bet on us to win...? But hey, wasn't a smart move to make bets in the first place. Never know.
  13. And he posted that 4 days ago on Twitter. That ESPN article punter posted above
  14. Feel a little better about the info now, but I'm not in denial about it being Rodgers. The info up to that point just wasn't enough. Those are pretty specific details. Which have been lacking up to this point.
  15. Verified that a friend told Query that it was 99% a defensive player with an opportunity out in front of him? Like the Luck, Uber driver story? That wasn't a good lead in. Hard sell, could be true, but now we know that the media ran with a story that doesn't have any base to it yet. At least ol boy gave us how much Pittman " allegedly" bet and included a game as well. I find that easier to believe than someone's friend told them something. The Colts haven't told anyone about who it is, the NFL hasn't either. All speculation at this point, and for Destin to feel the need to make Rodger's name public without proof, is irresponsible. Was it irresponsible for the Boston guy to put out Pittman's name? Yes, it was, but like I said at least he had some info(whether true or not). Where are all the other local guys? Why is it only Destin?
  16. I know you've mentioned the Pacers as well, but I can't use those as examples(Lakers as well) because I find it hard to be objective with those instances as I had a rooting interest. I don't have one here, as long as it wasn't LeBron, I didn't really care who is was. Although I like you and many other people can't stand Boston fans.
  17. So he heard it from a friend? All options are on the table at this point.
  18. They are definitely going to have to move/consolidate some. Ideally we can trade up to #3 and get Miller, or even Scoot. Ideally Miller though. Scoot and Haliburton could be sick backcourt though #7, #29, Hield(want win now players), McConnell, Jackson seems like a decent haul for Portland.
