  1. Brents is so huge! He looks about as big as the tight ends he was covering in some cases.
  2. I was thinking the same.... but.. I was like... is it possible it's JT?
  3. This team has a certain spirit and fight about it that I haven't seen from a Colts roster for quite a while... Well done to the coaching staff! Well done to the players for responding too...
  4. How many times are we going to blow that same exact blitz pick up? Damn! I understand it happening once... but TWICE? In the same half? THREE TIMES?!!?!? wth..
  5. Love a coach who would take the extra step and try to give his team every edge he possibly could.
  6. Pittman was loafing on his route, otherwise he might have had a shot...
  7. Is this the same guy we are talking about? What am I missing? How is his performance at the big stage even a question? He's dealing with a new inexperienced QB and had a pretty bad ankle injury that he played through? I don't think he falls out of the top 5. He's probably better prospect than Jamarr Chase and he's not missing the season(like Chase did).
  8. Expected, but still disappointing. I'd rather them be cautious than rush him, so I'm OK with this even if he had passed the protocol(which it seems like he hasn't). Hope he's better soon and is ready for next game.
  9. To be fair there were some reports that Tapper wanted Bryce Young, but there were also reports conflicting that so... hard to tell. Agreed on it being too early to tell on any of the QBs. Tua got benched for Fitzpatrick several times in his rookie year and looked completely lost, but they got him some weapons and a much better offensive coach and he seems to be doing pretty well today.
  10. I have already written JT off... he's shown and expressed clearly he doesn't want to be part of this team. I'm not having any hopes about him being here any longer than a few games before he gets traded or fakes another injury.
  11. I think I'm good with this year being developmental year in general for the team, with one exception - I think Richardson should be supported with weapons and protection. I think we need to know as quickly as possible if he's the answer or not and I don't want us to be using lack of talent around him as an excuse. With that said... I think we need to actually put in play our highly drafted rookie at CB. We spent way too rich of a resources for him to not play when the other options are Dallis Flowers and Darrell Baker Jr.... especially after what we've already seen from them. As long as Brents is healthy and in football shape, IMO he should be playing, even with the understanding that he might have his lumps too.
  12. Same. I think he needs to take notes and adjust to the speed of defenders to avoid some hits or to protect himself better BUT... I absolutely do NOT think we've seen anything super concerning or that he should be changing the way he plays. You drafted him for his abilities on the move! If you want to nerf his dynamic running ability then you shouldn't have drafted him in the first place. Use everything he can offer and teach him how to do it more efficiently and safer.
  13. He's past faking injury now. Now he wants to play. He even posted a video of him doing some drills in Colts facility.
  14. About time. I can't believe this wasn't done immediately when it was reported that this was what was being discussed in NFLPA circles.
  15. The worst thing about the CBs is... Baker might actually be our best option right now. But I agree, I think it's about time to let your second round rookie take a shot at defending the pass even with the understanding that he might have his lumps too... We've seen in the past that with Gus it's really hard for someone to change his mind. Rodgers was splitting reps with his favorite Facyson last year even though it was clear from the very start that Rodgers was MUCH MUCH better and deserved every single snap that Facyson got. I guess we will see.
  16. The sad part about it for them is... they didn't - they traded their pick for Will Anderson...
  17. To me it looked like he either didn't see the defender or didn't expect the defender to hit him. He's used to defenders making business decisions against him, because he's so physically overpowering, but in the NFL noone cares. They will take a shot on you legally or illegally, and this is especially true if you are the QB. Hope he learns from some of those...
  18. Likes: - defensive front was solid to very good... They had a decimated opponent in front of them and did what they should have done - dominated them. - offensive line - especially since Ryan Kelly had his concussion, I thought the OL was solid both in run blocking and pass protection. 0 sacks allowed against what is probably the best unit for the Texans. - both QBs - AR is a superstar in the making. And the pairing with Steichen is made in heaven. Minshew did what he was brought to do... he was yet again a pro QB, who executed the offense and moved the ball. Nothing fancy, just solid NFL QBing. - Zack Moss - love the guy... just 5-6 weeks after he broke his arm he was plowing through defenders and gaining extra yardage. - pass-catchers... I've been critical of them lately, but I thought they had a solid day and made some plays for their QBs... - Steichen - loved the playcalling and planning in the beginning of the game. Loved the seamless switch to Minshew type offense, Love what he's doing with AR and how he's building confindence into him. Love their pairing. I think the Colts nailed both those decisions separately, but when combined they make for a truly rare combination that can be special. Loved that he was trying every trick in the book to give this team an advantage when it comes to game and flow management. Dislikes: - AR concussion. I said it in the other thread - I'm not one of those who is urging him to run less - no... he was drafted because of the dynamicism he possesses as a runner combined with the potential as a passer. Use every weapon he has in his arsenal. But dammit... try to protect yourself. He needs to be more alert when he's running... seemed like he didn't expect the hit or didn't expect it to be this hard... he needs to brace himself for those types of hits. - DBs... eeek... I hope they get Brents ready to play soon because this ain't it... We will need a lot of help next year too. That unit is clearly the worst on the team IMO. - Rigoberto. Hate to say it, but to me it looks like he's lost something in his leg after the injury. They say one of the things you lose the most after Achilles injury is explosiveness and it seems to fit what we are seeing(injury was on his kicking leg). IMO it's possible we will need to look for a new kicker next year if things don't improve.
  19. I love seeing Steichen use EVERY trick in the book and every opportunity he has to give this team the slightest of chances. Sure, those shenanigans might almost never work... but we lose nothing by trying it and in the rare ocassions it works, it gives you an edge.
  20. Stroud is a really natural passer when he's given the time... The Texans might have figured out that their best chance is to just target our secondary in any way possible. Hope we hold onto the lead...
