  1. Some thoughts from college football analysts and fans after they watched Florida's offense without Richardson: There are tons and tons more...
  2. 1. Jaylon Jones? I cannot ignore the glowing review Ballard gave him. 2. Alec Pierce... I still think he's the one set up to benefit the most from Richardson. He still needs to do it and stop dropping the ball, but... that's still my answer. 3. Nick Cross... he seems to have had a good off-season and is poised to break out.
  3. I guess our biggest differences in expectations are how much he will be passing and TD/INT ratio. I expect him to run more and have more trouble with the pass... but I do expect him to be really successful running the ball. Your projection seems much more well rounded. I actually would expect those type of stats(your projection) for year 2 if he has my projection type year 1.
  4. Jalen Hurts last season. Almost MVP 3700 passing yards(15 games) 22 TDs 6 INT 760 rushing yards, 13TDs Just for some context...
  5. He also used to meet with the media after the draft and have a film session with them explaining why they drafted the players they drafted. I was really excited to hear about their thought processes in more detail about Richardson, but for the first time this year he decided not to do it... Agreed with @RollerColt and you though... we will probably not much access this year. I kind of expect him to not have a presser until January... unless something out of the ordinary happens(we trade Taylor or something of the sort).
  6. damn, you have high expectations Rookie QBs rarely have positive TD-INT ratio and you have him at +8 That would be a fantastic season IMO.
  7. Eventually that's where he will end up if his development progresses the way it should. But right now the Colts need him to run for the good of this offense and for the good of his development as a passer too...
  8. AR's ability to run will open up easier passes for AR, not whoever is lined up next to him. Sure, JT might be more efficient and explosive than Moss for example, but in the grand scheme of things, the driver of this offense is the mobile QB.
  9. Meh! This offense is built around AR's ability to run, not the RB, even if that RB is Taylor. Whoever scouts the Colts will be starting from that point, not from the RB.
  10. If the offense as a whole plays the way Steichen is imagining it, IMO whoever runs for this team will have good efficiency season, as long as Richardson plays the whole year. Running QBs are a cheat code for RB's efficiency.
  11. I don't know. I just feel like there is a difference between just saying you really like a guy and what Ballard said here. He's directly putting two players against each other and saying "yeah... I made that bet... write it down and take it to the bank". Not saying he shouldn't believe in his own decisions, but this seems kind of different. It kind of gives me different expectations for Jones. I kind of expect him to be starting by the end of the year now...
  12. Hidden in all the JT talk... what made an impression on me was Ballard vocal and emphatic endorsement and bet on Jaylon Jones. Not only did he talk glowingly about him and the scout that stood on the table for him... but he made the comparison against Darius Rush and he said Jones is one of the main reason for Rush to be cut. He must be pretty certain about Jones' potential... this can so easily be held against him if it does not pan out the way he sees it.
  13. For whatever it's worth. Malki Kawa's latest likes are to the following tweets, so there might be something to it:
  14. Good stuff... his upper body mechanics doesn't seem to be the problem. It's mainly his footwork and aligning his feet with his eyes and his throwing direction.
  15. Taylor doesn't seem to be at practice today... so far... (maybe he's still recovering from the shock of being left on the PUP after he pretended he's injured all off-season)
  16. It feels like they just didn't value Rush all that much...
  17. They should have done that yesterday, before they released Rush...
  18. For argument sake, lets assume Holder is actually not pulling stuff out of his * and he has actually received that information about Taylor being ready to play if put on the 53(and I think he is not lying about this... someone told him that). Where do you think he got that information? To me it's obvious it has to be either directly Taylor or his representation. When did this information come in? AFTER the Colts decided to leave him on PUP and now seem to be threatening to leave him there for the full year and not let him accrue a season, thus not becoming FA next season. What has to happen for the Colts to remove Taylor from PUP? He has to either pass his physical or he has to express desire to play sometime during those first 4 weeks. But reportedly(before today), Taylor and his camp have said they have no desire to play for the Colts at all and they want a trade, so... Taylor and his MMA agent should spare me the "oh but it's Ballard's fault for not asking us to actually play", He has been waiting for you for 2 months to show up and practice and play! You have had the chance to prove(state) you are healthy and ready to play for TWO MONTHS NOW! I sick of this amateur agent and his martyr holier-than-thou client.
  19. I kind of feel like they will remove him from PUP if they still want to trade him. Because staying on PUP lowers his value because he for sure misses 4 games.
