  1. Roseman is a wizard. How does he manage to get a top 5 receiver in the league in his absolute prime... young... all his prime ahead of him... for a mid-1st. And this was AFTER he had picked another stud WR in the previous draft.
  2. I know Richardson has his own issues with accuracy and pace of his throws, but game after game after game our pass-catchers are not helping him at all. We need better, more reliable weapons in the pass game. I keep repeating this and I will keep repeating it ... until we draft MHJ...
  3. Guys! Keep your eyes on the big picture. This season is about developing Richardson and figuring out if he's the guy or not. It sucks that we lost, but there are still some big positives to take from this game.
  4. Because this team plays with heart and juice and has good coaching... and kicking...
  5. I'm usually in favor of going for it on 4th down but I kind of agree. There was a lot of time left in the game. We could have kicked the FG.. Still the game is within reach... lets see what happens.
  6. Whatever the final score, this is invaluable experience for RIchardson. I can't understand the people who wanted Minshew in. What's the point? Are we winning the SB with Minshew? This is so pointless. Richardson needs every type of experience he can get - playing with the lead, playing with big deficit and trying to come back... playing in tight games, playing in blowouts... ... Just... let the kid get experience and learn.
  7. For me it's when he started trying to circumvent the CBA that his union and him by extension has agreed to. If he wants to sit out and miss on pay or be fined - that's his right. Faking injuries so he won't play while being paid millions is a step too far for me.
  8. Seems like both Raimann and Kelly are in concussion protocol and will likely miss the game. Damn. Braden Smith didn't practice too . Richardson cleared protocol and will start.
  9. I don't know what kind of teammate he is. Right now it seems like his highest priority is getting paid and getting away from the Colts. Everything from the reports I've heard around this whole situation suggests to me that JT was faking/exaggerating an injury and there are serious reports that the Colts believe this to be the case too. The very fact that right after he was left on PUP for the first 4 games, there were reports that JT is surprised that he's left on PUP and that he would have played if the Colts activated him before the season started, confirms to me that what is most likely happening is that he's following the advice and suggestions that NFLPA's execs were floating around IN THE OPEN during the summer - that players use fake/exaggerated injuries to impact contract negotiations.
  10. I'm on the record that we should have traded him BEFORE he staged ... whatever this is. I thought we should have traded him before we left him on PUP for the start of the season. I think we should trade him now too... Of course this all with the caveat that you don't just gift him to whoever offers you a bag of chips. If noone gives you more than what you can get as compensatory pick, just keep him. But if you are getting offers like 2nd and 3d or 2nd and 4th, 2x 3ds... I think I'd take it and just move on.
  11. I feel like if we don't trade him he will fake another injury or just refuse to play even with the slightest of discomfort...
  12. Yeah, it's probably not an official rule, but more of a practical consideration when a team is acquiring a player. First - teams don't usually want to trade for injured players, and second... if the player is exaggerating... (*cough, cough*... faking *cough*) injuries and tells the team acquiring him behind the scenes "hey, i'm not actually injured, you should trade for me", it tells that new team that this player is willing to do something like that and might do it to them in the future... and both of those make such a player less desireable. Thus.. players on PUP or IR being traded really rarely(just to be clear - them actually being injured is the much more relevant consideration).
  13. Look at those: He's drifting the moment Hamilton appears past the LoS.... no idea what to think about it...
  14. I am a bit confused about whether Minshew was seeing Hamilton or not. When watching during the game I thought he was not seeing him at all... but then I watch replays and... he's drifting away from Hamilton pretty much from the snap... to me it looks like he's seeing but being too slow to get rid off the ball. I don't know...
  15. If the idea is to use him just for this year - then yes, we can use him the same way with Richardson. If we want to not lose value on him leaving for nothing, then we probably need to trade him. The Ravens are probably closer to contention than us so that was my thinking. Agreed. Moss showed exactly why you don't need to pay 15M a year for a super dynamic RB. Because even mediocre options give you a close approximation of the production/impact of what the superstar RB gives you. It's much better to use that money on positions where the difference between a 15M player and a league minimum player is MUCH MUCH bigger.
  16. I don't KNOW it... but that's the hope. That he will develop into something resembling Allen. Maybe even better. But we are not there or close to it right now... so... for now executing a scripted play drive seamlessly is a good start. Better than Allen was in his rookie year anyways. I don't think he looks less athletic. But yes - the NFL defenders make the margins and spaces much much tighter. This is not surprising. He has 3 seamless rushing TDs in 5 quarters of play. I kind of feel like he's trying too hard to be methodical and quick with his reads right now and he probably misses a few deep shots because of it. JT O'Sullivan pointed out one such opportunity in one of his videos. BTW, keep in mind that coverage dictates a lot of what areas of the field offenses target. For example, in game 1 vs the Jags they played almost exclusively 2 deep zone, which is specifically designed to take away the deep shots. It's not a bad thing that Richardson didn't test them repeatedly, on the contrary - it's good that he played within the offense and tried to execute rather than hero-ball. But he did throw that beautiful deep out route that Pierce dropped in pre-season. I don't have much doubts that AR can actually make those throws.
  17. No idea if they would be interested(and if they can accommodate his pay demands) but JT actually makes a bit of sense for ... the Ravens.
  18. We will see in due time what Steichen sees in Richardson and what Richardson is ready for. Keep in mind that especially for Richardson this will be a few years process of development to anything resembling the final product. With that said... Stroud's ability to throw a pretty(and accurate) ball has never been the question. It's truly beautiful to watch when he has a clean platform. I think both of them can be great QBs in this league, even if in different ways. They were my QB1 and QB2 in this draft and so far I feel good about my 'evaluation' but lets not get it twisted... it's still VERY VERY early for both of them. Just enjoy the ride...
  19. Richardson was one of the best long-throw passers in college football last year.
  20. I think Minshew allowed that himself... If I had to bet, he probably was the one responsible for identifying that blitzer and hitting the hot read when Hamilton blitzed...
  21. Just to reiterate - this looks like AR to me, not JT.
