  1. Not a good look for Stroud, Mills looked way more comfortable leading the offense, granted he was playing lower talent
  2. I think you are right, Hunt has already said that he needs to be patient and as training camp continues there's more injuries and more need at the RB position. As with Mack going down now Arizona may need another RB, my guess Hunt is letting all the offers come in and then will take the best one. I don't think we low-balled him like others posted as it was reported to be more than the saints, I just think Hunt is playing it smart since he is negotiating with a position of strength right now where most RBs aren't.
  3. Yeah, they say they are going to continue the Oregon vs Oregon State Rivalry game but idk how they will do it, depending on what conference Oregon state will join, which is unfortunate I remember being in the stands on a rainy game in Corvallis when we beat the Ducks and the stands rushed the field in celebration, it will be a shame if it no longer exists
  4. I always thought it was his strategy of avoiding fines but it’s either a real injury (which is not good that his ankle is this bad) or he may be going with the strategy of either give me a contract extension or I’ll be injured all season and you’ll have to put me on IR because the back was fake so he won’t be going on NFI list. If they sign Hunt then i won’t be expecting Taylor anytime soon.
  5. Kareem Hunt headed to Indianapolis to talk to colts and visit facility reported on NFL network
  6. It’s crazy to see only 4 teams remain to play in 2024 my Oregon State Beavers included. It’s crazy to see a conference fall apart when it’s over 100 years old. So far it’s unknown where the Beavers will be playing in 2024 and how they do this year may influence it, they had a great year last season including a bowl game win but will probably need another double digit winning season to maybe get interest from the ACC or Big 12. The worst case scenario would be the mountain-west conference because the budget for football would decline and we are in the middle of remodeling our stadium.
  7. Now I can't remember when Leonard was originally injured so this post may be 100% wrong. I believe it started in the 2021 offseason with that ankle surgery and it lingered throughout the season, which was also when he got his contract extension. Then as we all know he pretty much didn't play in 2022, and now from leonards quotes he may never have the same burst that he used to have with him talking about So now switching back to JT, the Colts are probably getting more hesitant to give big extension to players that are coming off injuries because it has burned them before. Which makes me think they won't do an extension this offseason because they want to make sure that it won't comeback and bite them again and have a big cap hit player that is frequently injured or can't play at the same level.
  8. Frankly I was always with the philosophy of drafting a RB let them play their rookie deal and then let them pursue free agency. It’s a cut throat philosophy but you don’t need to pay RBs over 8 million. The two problems for JT is that it’s a flooded market and teams have been able to find good RBs late in the draft, look at Pacheco with the Chiefs. The second is we have a new offense and it’s not known if it will have a feature back or use more of a RB by committee like the eagles used.
  9. That's another reason I would want Minshew to start over Richardson. Minshew knows Steichen's offensive phrasing and how he likes an offense run. This helps the other players learn when he's the starter. It's alot harder to implement a new offense with a rookie QB. When the offensive starters know their jobs it makes it easier for a rookie QB.
  10. Just saw Rams fans talking about the Rams trading for JT because Sony Michel announced his retirement, interesting prospect to talk about but it’s not gonna happen.
  11. I’m surprised by this move, and it’s really an empty threat with how many good RBs available as free agents. The funny part is the Colts tend to overpay their home grown players, I doubt he will get a bigger contract elsewhere.
  12. So let’s talk about the article lol
  13. Irsay did push the organization to do what he wanted last year, it's a possibility he does it again. Disclaimer:I know this will inflame some posters, but it is a true statement
  14. My expectations are pretty much the exact same, although by year 3 I'm expecting him to be more developed as a passer where by the second half of the season its clicking he can read defenses, and make the right adjustments we will see an improved TD:INT ratio and hopefully a playoff win. Offseason of year 4 we will know if he is our QB or if we will be looking for a new one.
  15. With so many people loving the athleticism of Richardson and all the articles talking about how he has the right mindset and is putting in the work to improve, I think there is a growing population that have to high of expectations of him for year 1. Which just wait for when he has a bad game or two, that population is gonna turn into the "He's a bust and what was Ballard thinking drafting him" crowd. Personally I don't think he should play year one or for the very least not start week 1, even though Cowherd and Irsay seem to say otherwise but I'm also one that believes there is a lot of value in sitting a raw QB and letting them learn the cerebral part of the game and focus on their mechanics. Overall I think it's gonna be a rough year for those that think we will be above 8 wins but I do think we will have flashes that show this team is on the right track.
  16. Yeah, he was definitely a fan favorite and I was super excited for him to get more playing time because he took all the right developmental steps and with his physical abilities could have been a a playmaker. I mean with his speed, if the ball got in his hands I don't think there are alot of players that could catch him. I disagree you see in other sports like cycling where even the pros say if you don't use PEDs than you aren't even competitive, I'm okay with how strict it is sure there are times when someone gets caught with one that probably shouldn't be a big suspension but it limits the use and players trying to push that limit on the harder stuff.
  17. I will be looking at the receiving group for someone to brakeout or make a big step forward in development. Alec Pierce may get some deep throws that none of the QBs had the arm to throw last year. Jelani Woods I would love to see get more catches and brake out being a big target, Philly did love using their TEs. On the Defensive side I’m looking at Nick Cross and Dayo to possibly breakout. I think with the lack of depth at CB we will see a lot more Safeties being used and Thomas, Blackmon, and Cross all being on the field together. As for CB I pray Dallas Flowers brakes out.
  18. This will be the year for him to take a leap, although I think he is gonna be played more as a rotational piece between the 3 Tech and DE, allowing Buckner to get some rest last year Buckner played way to many snaps per game
  19. Mediocre year, I don’t see us drafting a WR in the first round next year. Im hoping Pierce takes a step forward in development and Pittman shows that with a consistent passer he can be a solid number one and maybe Downs becomes a solid slot. Even If we had the opportunity at Harrison wouldn’t be surprised that we trade down to a WR needy team.
  20. With Rodgers most likely being out of the league, we may see them using more safeties in the nickel. Otherwise it may look like Flowers and Brents starting outside corners with Moore in the nickel. I like Moore in the nickel but our outside corner position is a huge question mark with no clear starters.
  21. Well he's gonna be gone for at least a year, which really hurts our CB group, maybe have to bring in Marcus Peters for a workout.
  22. For the teams that will be looking QB it will be an interesting group: Caleb Williams and Drake Maye are easily the top 2 but Quinn Ewers will be in his 2nd year as a starter and will have the opportunity to jump into the top QB discussion (more jump in-front of Maye than Williams). Penix Jr. I just don't see it since this will be his 6th year as a college QB. Will be interesting to see where our needs will be next year, as we are hoping alot of young players make a jump this year.
  23. Since it hasn't happened yet, I don't think they add any OL help aside from depth moves.
  24. I get the need for defensive players for your team as that was a huge hole last year, but I think you’re gonna be really happy with Addison. I may be wrong but I think he’s gonna have an amazing career.
  25. I'm not anti-Irsay, I'm just flabbergasted when he says things that negatively affect the team
