  1. This is the make or break year for APierce. Last year the limitation was Minshew. We also need one or two more veteran explosive WRs. The other area is the OL. we need depth Braden and Ryan always getting hurt. Convert JT to a Deebo Samuel role.
  2. I am tired of trading back for more picks. Get that great WR like a Jamarr Chase. Alex Pierce is a nice player but not a savvy player like TY Hilton. If the Texans can develop players Dell and Collins in one year, why can't we? Reggie Wayne and Steichen need to work harder
  3. We need a new defensive strategy. Gus and his staff are veteran coaches and hopefully Steichen will demand that they change. Ballard really needs to sign explosive defensive and offensive players this offseason. Its his 8th season and in my books he is on the hot seat. We need Safeties of the Bob Sanders mold. Cross and Thomas don't cut it.
  4. Disappointed with the lost, but as painful as it is there are some positives coming from this loss. Irsay, Ballard, coaches and players are on board with Steichen's leadership and RPO philosophy. Now Ballard needs to draft, trade to fill Steichen's wish list. The DC is an area that could see some changes.
  5. It is good to hear that RT Braden Smith is returning to the lineup, after missing half of the season due to injuries. I hope he plays to his starndard and not just make a token appearance. We need to revisit his contract and Ryan Kelly in the offseason. We need more younger and reliable players. This draft should produce a number of great candidates.
  6. Colts lose than the last game is meaningless and there will be a shuffle in the coaching staff and players. It will be a reminder of our year with Carson Wentz, where we lost to the Raiders and then the Jags in Jax, and missed the Playoffs. All hands on deck and the sense of urgency is on full throttle.
  7. AP will only shine when AR becomes our QB. Right now we are driving on 2nd gear.
  8. Resign these players (unless if their demand is outrageous): Gardner Minshew, Pittman, Kenny Moore, Rigoberto, Danny Pinter, Tyquan Lewis. This will be the real first draft by Shane Steichen and his staff. Let him drive the decisions while Ballard just executes the choices. Shane is alot sharper on how to redesign a SB team than Ballard. We have good scouts so Ballard needs to rein-in his ego and let Shane do his thing.
  9. We improved the offense with a creative and the leadership of Shane Steichen. In my humble opinion I believe Gus Bradley is a Ballard choice and like Reich and Eberflus they are not creative enough and aggressive to the new football being played. Either Ballard steps aside and leave it to Shane to select his own DC and staff, or leave the GM position.
  10. Gus has lost every time he played the Raiders and Derek Carr. He can make changes to change the outcome OR he can continue to do what he always does and we will suffer the same result. If Shane and Cooter can game plan the offense than WHY can't Gus do the same with the defense? It is going to be PUT up or SHUT up time. The Colts are favored and it is time the defense and ST create some take aways.
  11. Across the league the players are worn out..... I know they are banged up and in alot of ways the NFL has overstretched the players and coaches with : International games, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Thursday games. It is over done in my opinion. Now they want them to play in Brazil.
  12. If the Colts does not make the playoff again, Irsay will have a tantrum. Somebody is going to bear that rant. My bet is going to be on the defensive side of the ball. We choose to stay with Gus Bradley when Jim Schwartz was available and interviewed.
  13. We are heading to the last two games, starting with the Raiders who Gus Bradley has lost every time, including the Saints with Derek Carr. If we lose this game he is gone and his selected staff. The last game against the Texans carries the same weight as our final 2020 game with Jacksonville where we were eliminated from the playoffs. Ballard, Gus Bradley and a number of Colts high playing players are on the "hot seat". If we lose to the Texans in Indy, accountability will be felt throughout the team. I don't see us losing but its the sense of urgency on part of the players/coaches. We did not expect to be in this position (at the start of the year) but the fact is we are in position to make the playoff or possibly win the division.
  14. During this season, we have had the practice squad come through for some of the key injuries: Zach Moss, Trevor Semion, Goody, DJ Montgomery and whoever is going to take McKenzie and Tony Browns place. Ballard has taken full advantage of his draft order and combing through the wires. He and his team has done a great job this year.
  15. I think Reggie will have a big say as to Jarvis Landry. They are both vets and if he can be helpful during the playoff it will be well worth it.
  16. AR was out of his sling and shaking and rotating his arm and hands to the Colts cam after the Steelers game. I was pleasantly shocked and glad to see that. He is recovering really well and he will be ready to roll next camp. I can see him working out with his receivers during the offseason.
  17. Minshew needed the bye week to recharge and chill out. He came back a rejuvenated guy and it shows. I believe Shane knows Minshew very well and is managing him like a virtuoso. His play calling and game plan has kept the opposing DC guessing as to who is going to play a larger role in our offense. Shane also adjusts his plans at halftime which none of our previous coaches or OC did very well.
  18. They have accomplished alot more than what was expected. With AR returning and a solid draft we can plan on making the playoff next year. If however we make it to the playoff, it is adding frosting on the cake. I rather play down the expectation because next year looks very promising, especially with Shane Steichen.
  19. Good Luck. Knowing T.L he is going to show his courage to play hurt. There is no doubt that ankle was traumatized so some point it is going to really be stressed further. The key is Trevor's judgement. Myles Garrett is going to come after him and his mobility maybe reduced.
  20. That is too many concussion on Kelly. I think Ballard may need to trade and draft more Centers, even if Pinter returns. Brad Smith is also a liabiity.
  21. We won more games so far than last year!! Congratulations. Keep it rolling.... I think the entire team and coaches deserve a week off. Steichen has been pushing since he was hired and could really use a rest.
  22. No way will Kraft fire Bill. Bill will leave on his own terms. He may change his role from coach to GM, but he is the greatest Patriot coach of all times. In the early days, he was the genius that created a super defense and Tom Brady the time to develop.
  23. Use KJ Hamler that is on the practice squad. We got him from the Broncos when Sean Peyton was upset we signed him. Kid is a 2nd rounder. WR/KR/PR
  24. Shaq against the Panthers was a LB that was a shadow of his Maniac days. We should help him retire after this season.
  25. I believe there is the opportunity to take this time for Steichen/Ballard to focus on an offensive strategy that focuses on our strengths: 2 Top RB, An experienced QB, An above average OL, A stable of TE, and Josh Downs/Pittman. It may take 10 games to figure it out but just imagine if we do, and next year we get AR back.
