  1. I guess I'm not American then, cuz I've always found that gross!

  3. Pretty much! He went from one of the most likeable guys in the NFL to one of the most hated in seconds flat. I thought it was cool to see someone else with ptosis making it to the highest level of their craft. For a time, he was an ambassador to people that while we look a little different, we're just as normal and capable as anyone else... And then the reports started coming in...
  4. I did... Almost every week there was something. Most of them I kept it to myself and didn't tell the coaches. Of course the concussion stuff was much harder to hide when I was literally knocked unconscious. In hindsight, it's was a pretty stupid thing to do.
  5. And, Ballard has chosen players that his head coaches wanted. Yes the scouts and Chris played the most significant role, but he chose players that the coaches asked for. The successes and shortcomings of the Colts are more complicated than it all being one singularity. But, it’s far easier to place blame on one thing, than to admit it was the entire organization. GMs are only as successful as their coaches and players are. It’s a symbiotic relationship.
  6. I think that’s a fair way to assess an individual on their merits. We can see Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson as stellar players despite their respective teams not playing to the same caliber…
  7. Hindsight is just that… When Nelson was drafted, we already had our LT. We also still had Luck. No one could have predicted what would happen just a year later…
  8. Pittman, Downs and Nabers would be a hell of a WR room next year.
  9. Wow... That trade just continues to look like the worst of all time for the Browns. So much for the Brownies going deep in the playoffs.
  10. I'm picking Bengals over Ravens, knowing full well the Ravens are favored. Will I be wrong? Probably, but I'm picking in honor of my dad, who has never given up on Cincy in all of his 68 years of life. @NFLfan @2006Coltsbestever @VikingsFanInChennai, you guys are right in that as long as Joe is on the team they'll always have a chance.
  11. Taylor, Leonard, Downs, Stewart, Pittman, Lewis. Those guys are playmakers. You can argue Leonard is no longer one, but before his injuries he made game altering plays. Hopefully next season we can add Richardson to that list as well. He’s not the best GM, not the worst. But one thing has been made clear by Irsay: Chris will be here for years to come depending on Shane and Anthony’s success.
  12. Plus, the Bucs are still a formidable team now even after Brady. I mean Baker Mayfield is playing some of his best ball with those guys. It’s not like when Manning left and the Broncos immediately collapsed.
  13. Agreed. Ben is going for a head coaching position. I see him getting hired by the Panthers this offseason. He’s the type of guy who could have fun designing a playbook around Young.
  14. Yep. That’s where I think if the defense scores like in the Panthers game we could win.
  15. True. I was not expecting us to win against the Patriots and Ravens heading into the season.
  16. A lot of things will need to go right. I just can’t see us beating the Steelers, unless our defense scores 3 times. Minshew won’t be moving the sticks much against them.
  17. Yeah. I’m not sure how much that will help the Bills this season…
  18. I’m pretty much in the same boat. I fully expected him to be let go after last season, but he’s got another chance. I think he needs to hit on this upcoming draft. We need game changing playmakers on both sides of the ball if we want to compete with the top teams. In my opinion, he’s tied with Shane and Anthony. If they have success then the trio stays in Indy.
  19. That’s what happens when you add an extra 7th team to the playoffs. Suddenly everyone is playing for something in November and December. I kind of like it because it means fewer meaningless games as the season goes on.
  20. Yeah. Minshew is definitely the wildcard in all of this. If he plays good enough and is able to limit his turnovers and stay out of the way we win most of the rest of our games. I think we might be 5-0 when we win the turnover battle and therefore 0-5 when we lose it. I know, I know, thanks Captain Obvious… but some teams can overcome those turnovers and still do enough to win games. We at the moment can’t. If we down a score and need Gardner to drive down the field and win… well… yeah…
  21. As Chris Berman would say, “that’s why ya play the game!” This parity is crazy this year.
  22. Sorry I should clarify better that right now it’s looking like the top edge rushers will be gone by pick 10. So if we’re in that range I’d like us to take a shot at one of them. I would agree that a corner is a need. But Ballard already addressed that in the latest draft, and I’m not sure if he would agree us.
  23. Same. And if we somehow beat the Steelers? Well that’s a successful season then for me personally.
