  1. Vikings RECEIVE: Round 5, 2023: No. 141 (from Raiders) -- NT Jaquelin Roy Colts RECEIVE: Round 5, 2023: No. 158 Round 6, 2023: No. 211 (compensatory selection)
  2. with Dawand Jones going in the next pick we're going to have an interesting compare and contrast. talking to Browns fans, they think Jones is going to either be the game 1 starter or cut in camp.
  3. that would make the most expensive guard tandem in the league I believe. his contract was dictated by being a tackle
  4. well the stats don't match the athletic numbers, but that said falling to the 4th is an eye opener
  5. I think when you get invested in player review over a 4 month period(or longer) people will get passionate about their player. I've been critical of Ballard in the past(and probably will be in the future), and while we may have different opinions about the players selected, the positions selected were big needs for this team and I think that's building a lot of consensus on rating this draft.
  6. I gave up on nfl network/espn coverage waiting to announce picks due to advertiser demands or trying to draw out the spectacle. I found pff's coverage on YouTube and I'm not going back!
  7. apologies if I jumped. I'm watching the PFF coverage and they were doing their breakdown on him and thought it was safe
  8. agree. realistically the team isn't carrying 11 rookies so using one or twoof these 5ths to move up(or send 2 5ths for a 4th) makes sense
  9. We'll see, but in the worst case scenario he gets $32M from the franchise tag
  10. Lamar. He's getting a boatload of cash from someone
  11. I disagree, especially since that escalator to move up to 1 is pretty easily attainable. To me the only way that trade is worth it to the Jets is a super bowl next year or 2-3 years of afc championship.
  12. I caught an analyst give a similar number of 1st round grades the other day(maybe Bucky Brooks). This draft is made due to qb drama, so if I had to pick I'd say the most surprising takeaway is the FA options
  13. Wow if that happened then Bennett sits on the bench for a year then next offseason there will be a whole slew of "well we don't know what Bennett can do yet"
  14. No. Nothing against Fields, but he's been "Chicago'd". He was set up to fail from the beginning and beaten to a pulp over the last 2 years. The last time that franchise developed a franchise qb they showed black and white highlight reels of games before the start of a movie and the players wore leather helmets.
  15. to me it started the question "where was that in the previous 23 games?" more to the point where was it vs Michigan twice? I fully agree any of the picks can fail, plenty to pick apart on all 4 of the qb 1st round projections.
  16. He is judged on his passing, but his lack of running is concerning. If Stroud had an injury in 2022 that inhibited his running, then his 2021 numbers should show at least some decent running numbers, and they aren't there. OSU offense has a lot of opportunity for their qbs to pick up yards running on read option plays, beyond scrambling attempts that pick up yards. Justin Fields averaged 400 yards running in each of his 2 seasons at OSU, same hc and offense.
  17. I guess my issue with that is he didn't run in 2021 either. 32 runs for -20 yards.
  18. I agree. if you're going to get a qb, give him the weapons!
