  1. Thanks for putting together the long OP. Raimann, Kelly, Downs,Moss, and Taylor seem to be our most consistent players. Disappointing that jt can’t get his receiving and pass blocking grades up i wish Payes grade could be based more on sacks and hurries than edge setting. not much to say about the other defensive players.
  2. Too expensive imo. Our first might gather a generational talent or two first round picks by itself in a trade down. Does sweat generate more double teams than paye?
  3. Ballard drafted three last spring. And Roger’s got suspended before the season. if teams load up and hoard corners. Then they are hard to find mid season.
  4. Last season and the year before we had a bunch of injuries in the secondary this is what you get when it’s down to 4th and 5th stringers.
  5. I don’t stir things up. I think you do that on your own. Talking football is not a personal thing. So it beats me as to why someone would get upset when someone posts that Levis had a great first game and discusses it a bit longer. The rest of your post is about you. I don’t have anything to say about that.
  6. I thought he was very good last year and continued this year. I guess he’s out for the year Yes. I would say that. mh senior had tremendous speed. If junior isn’t as incrementally as fast against dbs as his father, he’s just that much not as generational. IMO But he me may be that real burner at 6’4. And then yes he is too
  7. He’s 6’4 but is built and even moves just like his dad. Great potential. But he ain’t aj brown with contested catches or physical yac. Compare that to bowers who can probably get open as often against linebackers and safeties.
  8. My point was that…..now that I see more details….is that with all of those players that need to be decisioned….as well as Leonard….. I think bringing another semi top notch player into the mix doesn’t help with that. Ballard would sort of have to already decide which of the other players are last on his list but yet there is still half a season to play.
  9. Are you and others are saying that if Ballard doesn’t make any moves to improve the team for this season then he is tanking? I don’t see that as the definition of tanking. I think any moves made this year would be about how the player fits into future plans. standing pat here isn’t tanking for a higher draft pick. Jmo.
  10. I think the idea of who is better is more personally important to you than many of the folks you tangle with. Any discussion about the success of comparable QBs seems to be taken more personally by you than what was intended. Jmo. I don’t think next season will be the end of their development. I wouldn’t get concerned about who is better through next year either.
  11. Just eyeballing, I'm not sure MHj is as physical as I'd want a top 5 pick WR to be. I know he's tall, but he strikes me a bit too much like his father in that way.
  12. I don't know if there is any reason to fire a GM mid season...unless he goosed Irsay's daughter or something. I think players are still playing hard for Gus.
  13. Certainly the FO can make decisions that are less than focused on winning any given season. I think the coaches doing that during a game is unlikely. The players would get wind of that much more directly and then you lose the locker room.
  14. Can our players defeat the opponent one-on-one? At what frequency?
  15. You mean on this board? I think there will be a whole bunch of folks saying how we would have won if we only had AR. Or if Gus was gone. They may be right, IDK, but I predict that's what will be said. Other than that, not much will happen. You mean, like will Ballard or Gus be fired? No.
  16. Aren't we maxed near the cap? I assume if we make a trade like you propose its bye- bye Leonard this spring. I think the time to do these trades is in the off season, like Buckner. Then there is better vision into who you keep and don't.
  17. I think you are the one reading too much into early games, then projecting it on others. Can you say that AR has been great for 0 "games" ?
  18. Oh, I don't pay attention to all threads. I probably thought it was off base so I probably substantially ignored it. Who is telling you that its not ok for you to say that AR will be better than all of the rookies? And how many people have said that Levis will be better than AR lately? You exaggerate stuff so much I can't even follow the convo much of the time.
  19. Did you start that thread? I think all 4 would be a better discussion. Come to think of it, TEN didn't even activate Levis until this week I think. So there would have been no reason to discuss him. But now there seems to be.
  20. I think you are one of few, if not the only one, exaggerating stuff.
  21. I assume he will. We have an entire thread on AR vs Stroud vs Young. I agree with you, people are interested in the performance of all three. I guess because Levis was not drafted in first round makes him ineligible for discussion. But since he was the only QB where a decision with him or AR was made, I can see how some might see talking about Levis' good game is simply offensive by itself.
  22. Its almost like the vax issue, changing his name, and getting injured has him interested in deeper things and less interested in football than before. And he doesn't need the money.
  23. My comment was to describe what the TEN offense looked like, and what the bomb TD passes looked like. Very few were the typical short 10 yard slants and run for 60 yards. There was a lot of air yards and hang time to three of the passes. Looked very old school, especially with Henry running up the gut. The more modern stuff, like the wide passes to the boundary for WRs screens got stuffed a lot. So the 3rd down conversion rate was probably low because those plays, whether called on 1st through 3rd down, got thrown for losses a lot.
  24. I believe ATL has a top 10 defense so far this season, and their secondary is pretty good. Levis did a lot of old fashioned behind the center snap play action and not the RPO play action. He struggled a lot in 3rd down because TEN ran it up the gut a lot on 1st and 2nd down. So it was more than Levis doing well, it was an older school type of offense that allowed the long TD passes. All initial bursts of NFL goodness have a way of coming down to earth over time.
  25. Its more of a statement than a question. Its not a good question. It takes my process relative to obscure topics and expands it into SOP about everything, then criticizes it to discount everything I say. That's pretty obvious. That dispassionate reasoning comment was in a convo between me and NCF, about his long standing view that I have some agenda (about Ballard vs Grigson I assume). In the instances of his claiming that I'm passive-aggressive with his longstanding observations, I am much more certain of the facts because they involving topics that I care enough about to actually observe. As a Colts fan, I observe the facts as they happen and have no need to research someone else's written link on the matter. I trust my own "biased" eyes, LOL, than the credentialed class' "unbiased" words I'm supposed to follow. LOL. Especially when it comes to stuff I take time to observe myself. Franks playcalling at CAR is not one of those times.
