Yeah, not arguing, just stating some stats and ranks. I do wish we would blitz a little more. Our D is so boring.

I know we are missing guys, but we are ranked 27th in defense, and 32 with points allowed at 28.6. Our defense just is not getting it done. We need that elite edge rusher and a cover LB. I think our corners will do better by years end (and once Brents is healthy.)

Did you mean below average QB?

10 games is a good sample size. Maybe's he's had a few off games, but I think he still processes pretty well. Curious to see how he finishes the year.

I see what you are saying. I we'll say if maybe the corners could just jam/disrupt the route, it would be helpful. Here's to hoping we get that elite pass rusher next year.

I agree, Ballard has missed on DE, but we might have a QB, so hopefully he goes after an elite pass rusher. I think Paye is the only DE he's picked in the first round, and it was a late pick. Also, Bradley needs to blitz more. I'd love to see some more corner blitzes and safety blitzes.

I want a new D coach, and that Iowa coach sounds intriguing, although I'm not sure if it translates to the NFL. I will say we need an elite pass rusher (we currently have 2 edge setters), we need an LB who can cover (haven't had one since Okereke), and we need a solid corner. That on D, a true Alpha number 1 WR on O, and we'd be set I think (if AR pans out).

Jones actually held his own last game. Didn't hear is name much.

Good: We scored 27. Downs continues to impress. Pierce made some nice grabs, one which was ruled incomplete. He did slow down on a route though. I don't recall hearing Jones's name much. Ogletree! Bad: It's apparent we need an elite edge rusher, elite coverage LB, and elite CB. However, if our starting CBs were healthy, I think we'd be OK on that front, but not great. Really missing Big Grove.

Yet we let Okereke, our only good coverage LB, go.....

Not true. Some people are just ahead. Downs's father played college ball and his uncle played in the NFL. He's a steal for us. Pierce will learn. He was just robbed of a great catch. Not sure why he slowed down on the route
