  1. If a committee is still voting for the top 4, it's still not a play off to me.... keep trying, maybe look at how division 2 and 3 do it

That's what I really admire & respect about MCF, Gramz, & all my Forum friends. They are so accepting of culture, diversity, & all the elements which unite us not divide us as a global people & nation overall. Kim sounds like a remarkable individual that no one wants to lose touch with. I hope she can indeed attend college in MI too. That would be so awesome!!!

FYI, Jax has been back the past 3 summers to visit, and "work" at a Summer Camp. She is here right now working at Camp.

that is great Gramz!.. I know another family who globe trots in the summer visiting their exchange kids.. next young lady coming to stay is from Brazil and is a soccer player! excited, but it still is so hard to say goodbye to Kim, sniff!!

  3. Pool, sun, an air show so close we got a special showing, family and great food.. wonderful fathers day, need more summer days just like that one..aaaahhhh

that shelf cloud was amazing and a little creepy, lots of high wind gusts and lightning strikes...kinda cool though.. the lake was fierce and the rip tide has already claimed a life here locally, so sad..the Big Lake demands respect.

It must just come naturally to you. Whatever it is, keep dishing it out because I buyin' it hook, line, & sinker baby!!! Just watch it stepping off the boat MCF. It cut me off...I always tease the people I admire the most like crazy. It's a sign of mutual respect to me. If I don't joke around at all, then you know something is seriously wrong. All my forum friends rock, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit to having a small select group of favorites. You know who you are!!!

    4. MIColtsFan

      MIColtsFan

thanks SW1.. guess what I am still sea sick on land?! it's getting better and I expect the vertigo to be gone soon, at least I hope! :)

  7. what happened to May? it just flew by and now we are quickly nearing the time we have to say goodbye to a loved family member (exchange student). I'm sad.

A 3.92 GPA? Wow!!! I am very impressed brains & humility a rare combination to find in an individual. I hope that she & her family can return to MI very soon. I also like to establish a comfort zone with people from other countries & learn about the biggest misconceptions each country has about each other & how to build bridges of mutual respect & understanding.

  8. What a fun day yesterday.. out on Lake Michigan charter fishing for a fundraiser tournament for St. Judes.. my team didn't win but I caught a 14 lb and a 10 lb salmon and my freezer is stocked and I have some good memories.. hopefully the waves in my head will stop today though, whoa! dizzy

    1. southwest1

      southwest1

A 14 lb and a 10 lb salmon catch sounds pretty impressive to me MCF. Is there anything you can't do? Very Cool Indeed!!! Nothing "fishy" there. At least you didn't claim to reel in Moby Dick when all it was a tiny minnow like most guys do. News flash: Men have a tendency to exaggerate their accomplishments. Shocking I know. HA! HA! Not all, but a lot of them do anyway. Motion sickness is never fun is it?

    2. MIColtsFan

      MIColtsFan

I'll admit I had help, my wrist was too wimpy and I almost lost the pole, I had to have help holding the pole, but I did the reeling! much harder than it sounds to reel in a 14lber, it really is unexpectedly hard! still feeling the waves, 2 days later.. vertigo.. have it for weeks after I cruise too.. it's wierd, never get sick on board, just for days after on land

  9. Yippeeeee.. a Lion season tkt holder friend has confirmed I can buy his Dec 2 tkts vs the Colts! It's not the LUC, but I'll get to see my Colts in live action and my no. 2 team as well! It's a win win for me!

MIColtsFan: I trained my puppy; his name is/was Seven. He reminds me of Major. He helped the rescues and if I was suffering with bad knees he waited and helped me up the steps to the house. He is still with my ex because Que (My profile pic) was the Alpha male.

    3. MIColtsFan

SW, I bet you'd enjoy hockey! @Brent, I can't believe the Star isn't talking about the Ice, with them doing so well and all... the Lumberjacks were terrible this year, bummer for local hockey fans. One of my fav Redwings, Justin Abdelkader started in the USHL then moved up to AHL then NHL.. good stuff in the junior and minor leagues.. if only I had more time to devote as a fan.

    3. MIColtsFan

      MIColtsFan

cut off.. SW is dangerous, but I think Brendan Shanahan, the VP for Player Safety does a fantastic job. I think his being a former player makes a big difference and the NFL would do well to model this. I like how Shany plays video's with his reports when he hands out the penalities..it's all very clear what is accepted and what is not..unfortunately some play like thugs and make deliberate and unneccesary hits that cause injury..see Raffi Torres's latest on Marion Hossa, it's...

    4. BrentMc11

      BrentMc11

Exactly MIColtsFan.....NHL is working on these hits....most fights are "sissy" fights IMO....unless the 2 Enforcers go at it!!! That is MMA!
