just amazed by my 15 year olds irrational fear of the dark which was a huge problem during a long power outage last night.
-
Perhaps it's an entirely rational fear, did ya ever think of that, huh, huh? lol
We were dark for a full week after the recent hurricane. Your world gets reduced to the length of your flashlight beam, which can feel a bit claustrophobic if you dwell on it. Fortunately we were too busy thinking about how cold, hungry, dirty, bored, frustrated and depressed we were to get to claustrophobia. Perhaps in week two.

Dear Texans and/or Broncos... please make sure the Pats are NOT in this years super bowl! Thanks much

rivalry or no, just not a Pats fan.... the Texans are rivals, but darn it, something I like about those guys, so far they've stayed classy and are a good opponent. I have to agree with MAC it would be a good reflection for the Colts if they win, considering we beat them (almost twice, teehee) but who can resist the fun it will be to see PM beat up on the Pats? My call is a Broncos vs. 49ers SB

heard a funny one today.... 3 guys walk into a bar, named Ben, Jay and Eli .....to watch the play offs
-
so knew the Colts could beat the Texans, that was evident 2 weeks ago.. this time EXECUTION! smart play, great play calling, defense worked hard, rookies and next man up stepped up, the fans lifted their team and of course Coach Chuck back! WOW...Happy New Year

I was ringing a salvation army bell today and Gary Hogeboom put money in the red kettle on my shift! It all relates to football. Have a great weekend, I'll be watching the Colts from the edge of my seat Sunday afternoon.
-
wow, mid week already! good thing, I'm ready for the weekend now
-
The little monster that could!!!!!!!! regardless of where the seasons ends for the Colts, they have played this season with heart and have rose above all the critics, rookies and vetrans alike!

Vacuuming the Christmas tree, found a spider, lights are on hold until every branch is vacuummed.
-
Whoooooooo, what a game to attend! If Colts put up 35 points in a bad game, can't wait to see what can be done when we play a good game
-
Heading to Detroit on Sunday for the game. I will be cheering on both teams and excited to see the game, but I would like the Colts to kick some butt! GO COLTS!
-
just bought some tickets to see USAWNT Olympic GOLD Medalists play vs China in Detroit on the 8th! My girls and I are so excited!

"was forced to watch Cowboys/Browns over time, blah." Oh My God MCF! I think that reality falls under Geneva Convention protocol and international torture. Are you okay? It can take an enormous toll on a person's psyche being forced to watch the Cowboys like stress positions, sleep deprivation, or water boarding. Ha! Ha! Just Kidding!
-
I'm glad that you are okay my friend, but trauma counselors are available at a moments notice on speed dial if any lingering effects of your horrific incident still persist. HA! HA! It's not your fault that you forgot to set your DVR. Blame it on your brother anyway. Siblings have been doing that since the beginning of time. A tried & true method that always works.

Lots of commitments this weekend, but 4:30PM Sunday I am parking it! Nothing but Colts football! Go Colts

That can certainly be a tense time for both you and your daughter MCF. Just get a good nights rest, tell her you love her no matter what happens, & 4 years from now when she's in a good college mapping out her life & career goals none of this will matter anymore & you will all look back at this time & have a good laugh. She will do perfectly fine & perform admirably well with flying colors IMO. Good Luck!
-
whoohoo another great win! What a crazy game with all those flags flying. I felt a little bad for the Jags, just a little! ;) I sure hope Mathis is back for Sunday. The D did great, but I just miss Robert!
-
here's to dancing, hoisting trophies and winning games! ColtStrong! ChuckStrong! Congrats Colts!

Candy, candy and more candy. The kids scared up tons of loot!
-
rainy, sleety, windy..stuffing winter coats under Halloween costumes is the norm. Prayers for all those working on recovery from Sandy.
-
Somehow, any kid trick or treating in a duck costume seems rather appropriate this year. Yes, prayers to all the dislocated families out there right now. Wind, rain, snow, & fire...A very tough ordeal to contend with right now for Mayors, governors, EMTs, 1st responders, the Natl. Guard, & the Red Cross. Good luck, God bless, & Stay Safe & Secure Everyone...

Surf's up.. 20ft waves on Lake Michigan, could be as much as 30 later today as winds increase. Stay safe to all those east of me. Glad to see on the news so many already working hard to help others.
-
I love the Colts determination! Well deserved win!

Never enjoyed watching soccer in a down pour, but last night was so fun. It was a mud bowl under the lights, the kids played tough and won 5 to 1! Great day
