I'll get that pot stirring, you bet.. I just don't get how some don't question what seems so obviously wrong to me, I don't accept.. I will question.

I wish then it would just be easy, but on week nights parents can only be in 3 or 4 places at once, LOL.. no the district just thinks it's a savings, the parents are banding together, I think we will get this changed, but it seems it will have to be sport by sport, not school wide.. the only team currently bussed both ways in the football team and the parents and fans DO all attend those, but they get a bus back, in fact, HAVE to ride the bus back for "team meeting"

a little nervous for my oldests first XC meet today

, @Brent, not sure if you would of liked this weekend.. Friday night (like) High School Football, we won! and the fly over by the U.S. Coast Guard in there cool helicopter was chill inducing! Saturday night, sleep over with six 12 year olds (not sure this is a like for you)- swimming and sunset at the beach, made tshirts, nails, movie, little sleep .. Sunday = couch, football, tired

high school football kicks off tonight! whoop whoop

Locker over Hasselbeck.... interesting.. just adds to the axes to grind list.. great season ahead

I'm in love, let me count the ways.... 12, 31, 33, 41, 80.. great game despite the final score... I sure hope Collie is OK

no Colts for me, guess my NFL pkg does not include preseason! WHAT???! saw replays of Luck, Collie and Brown in action, but how did Mathis and Freeney look? not one replay for defense..held to 3? seems pretty good?

I just programmed mine. In my area the Colts are on NBC live. The channel 212 showings are on the 22nd at 3:00am and 4:00pn eastern time. I have no idea whether they show different things in different regions. Usually I just move through the listings until I find a showing, and then bring up the box that shows the rest of the showings.

tomorrow is an open schedule, nothing on calendar...last one until Nov. 10th. This is why time flies

luckily school doesn't start until 9/4, so at least we get to ease into the crazy sports schedule starting up.. I would be so grumpy if school started in August, it's summer! Have fun on your trip to "the house" Brent! @Gramz, have a wonderful get away, then come home to a new family member, how sweet! enjoy

May Trainor & Walsh Jennings = AMAZING! US Mens BBall = Dominating! USWNT = Bring on the Gold!..best of luck to the ladies today

Anyone else severly sleep deprived thanks to the Olympics? Got home at 9pm, had to watch, sure fast forward helps, but I still end up only getting about 6 hours of sleep, wake up watch some more with my coffee... addicted

I did learn about Greeko/Roman wresting though that I didn't know existed. My 12 year old nephew wrestles in school so he thought it was cool anyway. Swimming, water polo, & high speed ping pong were fun to watch too IMO. I watch the Olympics in spurts so no I am not sleep deprived myself. But, it is time for them to end soon I'll admit.

back from a little time off.. what fun! back to reality... incredible win by USWNT yesterday, so exciting. I loved the announcer calling out the Canadien coach for his ridiculous "highly illegal" comments.. too funny!

Rest of the week off to enjoy some time with family coming in town for the Coast Guard Festival. Posted some pics of the Coastie ships and copter in action. God Bless the men and women who serve in our Coast Guard.

I think we had a mini hurricane last night.. 65 mph winds and some serious gusts, lightning non stop and strobing for over 30 minutes, hail...it was pretty violent...all is quiet this morning though

watching Olympics with my 14 years old, 12 year old and her 12 year old friend late last night.. the 400m mens relay swimmers were warming up and the friend shouts "NOW THAT'S A BODY".. I'm sure she was just referring to how fit those swimmers are.. LOL

gotta do some work until about noon, then mandatory lunch, golfing and dinner. I know it's rough, but I'm sure I'll get through the day ;)

Penn State sanctions just and warranted, but can someone explain how the vacating wins works? I don't see how you can really take away a win, those kids that played in those games know how they played and the result... ?? what does it mean for the victory spoils also?
-
I feel the NCAA hurt the kids when trying to hurt Joe Paterno. From 1998-2011, Penn State forfeited all games. This situation is the worst of the worst in terms of 'harboring a criminal.' I support the NCAA, but feel that State and federal laws, trials....due process should have taken place before the NCAA acted. A pathetic situation all the way around.
-
First of all I'm with you guys and the victims have lost. I feel the PSU, the school should have been hit harder but not JoePa, this was not on football, recruits or athletic rules but personal integrity or lack of it. I'm with many that yes there should be a penalty and a big one on the PSU the school and athletic department for not reporting it.

@Brent,you can or you can just come visit..so much fun to be had!I hope you had a great birthday! @SW1, 1st time playing with her new team mates, well 4 of them that is since it's only a 3V3, only 5 per team, her group beat her other team mates, and also her old team mates.. it was pretty funny seeing them play against each other. unfortunately due to the draw we did not get to play the number 1 team, so came in second since there was no play off, only a points spread for order

TV replaced by moon rises and star gazing, cell phone replaced by fire side conversations, internet replaced by yahtzee, scrabble, jet skids and paddle boards.. being unplugged for 10 days = priceless... now I'm back and refreshed, hello forum friends

Have a good time on Holiday MCF. Dip your toes in the water, sip on some margaritas, read some books on your kindle, & enjoy the sweet, evening breeze too alright. Avoid stress, schedules, being a slave to the clock, & sun poisoning as well if you can help it. Be carefree, relaxed, & easy going MCF. Doctor's orders

I think I spend more time on my kindle reading reviews and titles and trying to select a book than I do reading....decisions, decisions!

I "acquired" several hundred good ebooks many of which are SciFi so I don't read reviews, I just look for my favorite authors (there are quite a few) and start reading. I love that ebooks are such small files and I can keep thousands of them on my Nook, which I modded to use as a fully functioning tablet and have 32gb storage so I'll never run out of room!

Another fantastic weekend.. yard looks beautiful, nice cook out with my folks, lots of sunshine and my oldest received news that she made the roster on an area elite team..

@Brent, jealous of the black mustang, I admit it... @SW1, had drinks with the person responsible to submit the info to the paper (the team manager) and she had not done it, would not surprise me if it doesn't get done at this point, busy summer for all this will be a different season, new club with some high school players and a mixed age group, nervous and excited... pluss cross country
