Yes PT I'm with you , While your at it there was a crash in Greene Co a van with 2 families , both wifes all the kids I think around 5 were all killed in a burning van why the fathers and police tried to rescue them , police had to hold the fathers back and both fathers were burnt severely , they were airlifted for burns. The emotional scars will be devastating . They need our prayers and thoughts.

'1881- Clara Barton establishes the American Red Cross'.

It wasn't until I survived a tornado in 1984 that I gained an appreciation for the remarkable work that the Red Cross truly does. Food, clothing, shelter, & peace of mind after a disaster.

      A remarkable organization indeed.

Very interesting. The slave trade was prohibited in 1807 but 52 years later, there was a "Great Slave Auction". That made me read up on that slave auction. What a sad time in the history of our country. :(

      "1965- Malcolm X is assassinated"

This fateful day still infuriates me to this day. Malcolm had a brilliant mind, came full circle from "The Chickens have come home to roost" to the Civil Rights Movement needs people of every race, gender, & creed to promote lasting change for the better.

I hold Malcolm in higher esteem than I do Martin Luther King Jr. today actually.
