  1. If Jax wins tonight, they are the number one seed in the AFC. Our biggest hurdle will be to beat the ratbirds but we have them at home so I like our chances.
  2. I am actually pulling for you guy's a little bit. The 'Stache" is such a likable guy I can't help myself.
  3. AR needs to stop trying to win with his legs and work on his arm. Yes, he is a big strong guy, but compared to the guy's hitting him, he is not THAT big and strong. This was predictable based on the history of running QB's. Designed QB runs in the NFL is asking for trouble. JMO
  4. Correct you are sir! The Colts offense scored 14 points. AR looked good but he has a Looong road to compete with Lawrence in a shootout.
  5. You guys are a lot better than most in the NFL were expecting. I will be honest, as a former Gator fan I though AR was a terrible decision. He was not a good QB for the Gators! Your coach has done wonders for him as he played great. Looking forward to many epic battles with you guys in the future
  6. How about them! They are very good as long as they don't need to rely on their backups. I am rooting for them and their long suffering fan base.
  7. I also think the Steelers could win that one. Vikes should have no problem with Bucs. I will take Cousins over Mayfield any day.
  8. I would l love to see the Fins play the Chargers. That game will be a real shootout. The Steelers and 49ers could be a good one as well.
  9. It's game day fella's! I expect a reasonably close divisional game but it could be a blowout if the Jags don't kill themselves with penalties and turnovers. If I had to guess its going to be something like 31 to 17. There are some misconceptions about our offensive line around here. Yes, our starting left tackle from last year is not playing but his replacement is the same guy that played very well the last four games last year, including playoffs. Many Jags fans feel he should be our full time starter. Also Brandon Scherff played through injury the majority of the 22 season. He is now healthy and has been his normal pro bowl self in the preseason. Our right tackle is a rookie from Oklahoma who was a standout in camp and preseason. Many of us think is already better than Taylor who we lost to the Chiefs in free agency. Our center is a guy who was a rookie last year but has shown much improvement in the preseason. The offensive line as a whole has looked very good, even dominant at times so far. Expect a dynamic offensive both running and passing from this team. Your impressions of the Jag's defense as average is spot on. That's how they graded out last season. Jag's fans are hoping for a second year leap for former rookies Walker, Devon Loyd, and Muma as well as the second year in the defensive scheme to help the unit improve. We are missing our nose tackle today, so that will hurt. I am hoping for a great game with no injuries on either side.
  10. To answer your question, my description of him was bleeped by the message board.
  11. JRob was a very solid player at one time for the Jags. A couple of badly timed fumbles and our * coach benched him. His days were numbered though, even without the eventual injury, because of Etienne. He was a very classy guy and a fan favorite in Jax.
  12. Well, of course I pick the Jags but will be surprised if it's a blowout. Playing division rivals in their stadium is always tough. 31 to 17 Jags
  13. My bad, did not notice you are a Viking. I like your wide receivers too... LOL.
  14. I have no idea if Gilmore played or not. If the Lions backups looked that good yesterday maybe the Jags backups are just that dang good. I know our wide receiver room is as deep as any in the NFL. We will be cutting some great talent that will play on Sunday somewhere for sure. I know you are not that excited about your receivers but if your front office is on the ball you may end up with one of our cuts. (I hope not)
  15. Losing your starting QB is on another level of bad, but losing 2 or 3 starters will not derail a team if they have quality backups. As an example, if the Jags lose ETN we have 2 quality backups, if we lose one of our wide receivers, we won't skip a beat. That scenario does not seem to be the case for the Lions. Right now my biggest concern for the Jags is we have 4 backup offensive linemen injured. If these turn into long term issues we have a depth problem on the line.
  16. My point was not intended to brag about the Jags but more to expose a huge red flag for the Lion's. Their starters are very talented but their lack of depth is going to kill them if their starters don't stay healthy. I can't begin to tell you how bad they looked in all facets of the game. It looked like our starters were playing their backups, but it was all backups against backups.
  17. Yep, just preseason, but still a good indicator of a lack of depth on their team. The Jags backups did not just beat them but destroyed them in scoring, time of possession, and yards gained. They were held to 131 total yards! Jags ended the game with 400 yards. If I were a Lion's fan I would be concerned.
  18. Based on their spanking by the Jag backups today, they may need an injury free season to have any shot.
  19. AR15 would need to make a monumental leap to be your starter this year. He was at best a mediocre college QB in the few games he started. I think it is wishful thinking he will contribute that much this year. Not slamming him because he is a Colt, just giving my honest opinion after watching every game he played as a Gator.
  20. That would be a huge leap for AR. I watched every single game he played for the Gator's and he was not even an average college quarterback IMO.
  21. Yeah I guess we did kinda elevate the dollars didn't we. The problem is the Jags were forced into paying more due the the crapfest the team has been the last decade. Regardless of the dollars spent, we got at least four starters yesterday, possibly five. Trevor got two weapons with more on the way. The only way to get rid of the perception we have is to win though, and we have a great start for a decent team next year. If we can just nail the draft no one will be laughing at us anymore.
