  1. The Indianapolis Colts, among other NFL teams, also reportedly met with Troy cornerback Reddy Steward and Northern Illinois defensive tackle James Ester at the recent Hula Bowl in Orlando, Florida (via draftguyjimmy): Edited out tweet, was way to long. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.stampedeblue.com/platform/amp/2024/1/21/24045828/report-colts-recently-met-with-troy-cb-reddy-steward-northern-illinois-dt-james-ester-at-hula-bowl
  2. Yes, Colts can block a request for interview on a lateral moves.
  3. Chargers have big cap decisions on Allen and Williams, can't see Pittman fitting into that scenario. Maybe one gets traded/ released, but why replace him with another big price WR?
  4. Possibly. I just think Pittman legitimately wants to check the market. I don't think he was lying or posturing. I think he was being honest, and the only way he can do that, with Colts protections in place, is to tag and go from there. I've been saying we are already at that point currently, even though we won't officially be there till beginning of March.
  5. Haliburton and Siakam playing tonight. Looking good early. Just went Spicy P on on Grant.
  6. That's fair, I agree with that sentiment. There will be plenty of teams interested in signing him, I have no doubt about that. So if they are interested in that, they know and will be willing to trade draft compensation(only choice to get him). With compensation starting at (2) 1st if offer sheet isn't signed, I think a team would definitely be willing to give up a 1st(20-32 range) and an additional 4th to get the Colts to agree to trade him before offer sheet is signed. Why would the Colts take less, unless they really just want to move on. Colts would rather they just not sign the offer sheet and get the (2) 1st. We shall see, who knows where it goes. Just seems to be going towards the tag, can go anywhere at that point. Think we are in for a other 2-3 months till we find out. If it's sooner then we locked him up to long term deal. March 5th is deadline to put the tag on
  7. https://www.theplayerstribune.com/posts/pascal-siakam-toronto-raptors-indianapolis-pacers-nba-basketball Classy fella. *No mention of Pacers in story, don't want you to be expecting that if you go to read. Only thing that says Pacers is under his name. https://medium.com/@gadroseflare/unveiling-the-strategic-artistry-how-the-indiana-pacers-engineered-the-pascal-siakam-coup-ff71d0eda386 This article is pretty nice going into some of the finer details of how the trade evolved and worked out. Creative salary cap work by Pritchard and that is exciting to think about with other potential deals in the future. Only problem I have with the article is is has some incorrect information. It says that NO received a 2nd, that's isn't the case. NO sent us a 2nd, we sent them the minimum cash considerations possible $130k(or something close to that).
  8. You mean like the Colts did with Buckner? Dolphins did with Hill Bills did with Diggs Eagles with AJ Brown Could go on and on. That's literally how it works. Trade for a guy and pay them big money.
  9. Thanks, seeing the nuggets, brought Kroenke out of me. As he owns them as well.
  10. Yeah, I know, I just went to respond to the 3, then decided to see how many I could get. Got to the end and I came to the conclusion that I was a die hard.lol. Still annoyed I couldn't come up with more. Lol Was able to get Kroenke after some harder thinking, finally.
  11. https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/kwity-paye-1.html Edit lol, I was looking at TFL. Either way point stands. He only played 2 + seasons at Michigan for 11 sacks Has 18.5 in 3 years for Colts.

We get a 1st rounder + if he is tag and traded. So yes a "potential" 3rd round comp pick in 2025(not even a guarantee), is it is pretty much nothing compared to that. Could end up being nothing completely, if we signed a comparable guy and it cancels Pittman leaving out. Which would be a really good possibility if we let him walk.
  13. Yeah, I just started with the 3, then wanted to see how many I could get Finally excited to remember ted kroenke(sp?) That one was really driving me crazy just now popped in my head.
  14. What are you talking about? They tag him, he will 100% be able to go talk to any team about an offer, unless it's an exclusive tag( which 100%, it won't be). He will be given the non-exclusive tag and free to talk to any team. We shall see.
  15. He had 23.5 sacks in "4" years at Michigan.(not sure where 11 came from? Left out his 12.5 sack season for some reason?) He has 18.5 sacks in 3 NFL seasons. He played in 2 games as a freshman and 4 games as a senior? Calling that 4 years is quite a stretch. Definitely trying to make him look worse, but far from an accurate description of his college career. I see you talk about pressures frequently, do you not think that the conservative nature of our defense as a whole, greatly reduces our overall pressure count from our DL? I do, and don't think it's debatable.
  16. Posturing would be if he just said he wanted to see what's out there. He went into detail about role. Anyway it goes, if he was posturing, it is to get a top dollar $28-$30m offer from us. If we don't come with that(and shouldn't, we can offer $21.7m and $26m for 2 tag seasons), he will take the tag and go see what's on the market. He probably isn't going to get that on the market.($28-$30m) Even if the offer comes in lower and the Colts might want to match, a discussion will be had at that point(Front Office + Pittman and Agent) on if he would rather stay or go. If he would rather go, then have us match, we can work the deal out. I would say it would be a 1st + 4th at minimum(as the price to bring in a franchised player in after offer sheet is (2) 1st), no one is paying that. I think we are well on the road to a tag, where it goes from there is anyone's guess.
  17. Without looking up. Saints - Benson Bills - Pegula Seahawks - Allen Those were actually 3 pretty easy ones there For fun: Colts - Irsay Chiefs - Hunt 49ers - York Broncos - Walton Steelers - Rooney Giants - Mara Lions - Ford Patriots - Kraft Cowboys - Jones Jaguars - Khan Commanders - Harris Cardinals - Bidwell (I think he is still there) Raiders - Davis Bengals - Brown Eagles - Lurie Chargers - Spanos Ravens - Biscotti(Sp?) Jets - Johnson Panthers - Tepper Falcons - Blank Alright that's enough thinking this early in the morning. Some other I should know they are just escaping me at the moment. Missing: Texans - Titans - Browns - Rams - Bears - McCloskey (Sp?) Packers - No owner? Vikings - Wolf(?) Buccaneers - Dolphins - I feel like most of these are on the tip of my tongue. The first 4 on the missed list, are embarrassing to me, that I can't get their names out right now. (2) division opponents and (2) guys been in the news a lot the last few years. Vikings, Bucs and Dolphins are all right there on the tip of my tongue as well. Guess that means I'm a die hard, aye?
  18. Pittman is getting tagged, he wants to see what's out there. No quick extension coming here. Probably drag out to late March early April. That's the only way for that to happen(to see FA), we may agree to match an offer after that, but I think it's more likely we work out a trade before offer sheet is signed and move on at that point. That's where I'm at with the process. I would like to have him back, but I'm not seeing it in the cards. I would say it's 50/50 right now, at best, on if Pittman returns or not. Brown has $42m dead cap hit, will be tough to force his way out. They can save $10m against cap this year, if it's post June 1st trade, but still $42m dead cap over the 2 years. McClaurin is ok, nothing to be too excited about. He won't see nearly the same amount of targets he is used to being paired with Pittman.

https://horseshoeheroes.com/posts/colts-reggie-wayne-fans-too-quick-to-judge-players-alec-pierce-01hmc5xsgkzt Reggie Wayne seems to support Pierce.
  20. Where I'm at right now. Only way I see us using a 1st on a WR is if we end up tag + trading Pittman. I also love Aiyuk, but kind of the same thing, I think he could/would potentially be a replacement for Pittman, not pairing them together.
  21. Probably going to pair a 3rd star at some point. Maybe not this year, but soon enough. Still think we probably make another move before the deadline. Hield probably still wants out and is a FA Smith/or Jackson with the front court log jam. Toppin is RFA after season McConnell rumors been all year(although he is like the perfect 12-15 man on a good team)
  22. Grover and Moore, depending on what Moore wants. Grover is a must though, if not we will be making a big move there. That is our thinnest spot. IDL.
