The defense had one talent and that was to rush the passer. Once teams started running on them, they were by far less effective. They were undersized and built to protect a lead.

Lol. U strengthen the defense. U limit the opposing team scoring points. In turn there is less pressure on Richardson to score 30 points every game. U keep the score down , and u have more plays on offense. If u r playing catch up, you are passing more and leaving your qb up for more hits and injury. A strong defense allows u to control the game as u can run more and become less predictable in your play calling

U r right, especially since I have no interest in the Colts drafting him in the top 2 rounds

I go by the combine as they are electronic plus film in terms of short area quickness and long speed. He lacks short area quickness and if he gets beat, I don't think he has the speed to recover. That's why a man corner needs that speed and 10th of a second is a major thing. I just don't see it and his type of player can be found after the 1st

I just don't get it when people say wr is a bigger need than cb. We have Pittman who we just resigned and Downs shows promise. So we have our wr#2 and our slot in Downs. Now we can just hope Pierce will show some signs with Richardson throwing the ball. Now tell me this. Based on last year what corner showed u that they are a starting corner in the NFL and gice reasons? Due to injury, draft spot and overall talent coming out of college. Not one of them has shown me they can be either our corner back 1 or 2. The whole secondary is an absolute crap shoot going into next year.

a hand timed 4.43 is usually in the 4.5's if electronic. He is not a man corner, plus he is white lol. That's coming from a white guy lol

Plus, If u look at the corners drafted last year in the 1st round, they all ran in the 4.3s, I believe some of them were slight in build but teams willing to gamble because of their speed. Cooper runs in the 4.5's unless he has posted some new times. Cannot recall the last time a corner with those times went in the 1st let alone top 15.

Yeah I just don't see it. I see him more as a 2nd round pick.

I have saying it that this is the year where I feel Ballard will pull trigger. Steichen comes from thr Eagles and they love to wheel and deal. I think pressure is on Ballard to come away with a play maker. I see Dend of corner

I don't think u draft a zone corner in round one who maybe converted to safety.

I think they tried to be active, in free agency but u can't drag a player to town if he wants to go somewhere else. I just blame Ballard’s drafting as to why we r needy at some of the most important positions. We have no pass rushing franchise DE, no #1 corner, no deep FS. On offence we badly need a take the top off wr. I think our needs on D are glaring. I think this is a heavy D draft. The only way u go te or wr at 15 is if the top 3 Dends are off the table and say a guy like Mitchel is off the board.

Exactly, but u can not find a franchise Dend or corner in free agency. U have to draft one. U can sprinkle in wr talent. That is my belief.

Houston went number 2 last year and traded up to 3 to get their franchise rush end . They didn't trade up to get Stroud a weapon. They traded because they wanted to become a complete team. Houston runs a defence similar to Indy. They know u need to have that front 4 to make Ryans defence successful.

I don't disagree with u about surrounding him talent. My argument that there is far more talent on the offensive side of the ball then the defense when u consider the lines and skill positions.

If you take your approach, you are right you will have to score on every possession because you have no defense. This draft is loaded with wr's. Why would you draft one at 15 when you can probably get a good one with your 2nd pick? You draft a 2nd round corner and there is quite a drop off and you are looking at primarily zone corners. Man corners go fast. Why do you think the Chiefs won the Superbowl. Very good D line with a franchise DT. Franchise Qb, average wr's and elite to very good corner play.
