  1. Gus’s defense is dependent on pressure from the front four. We were fifth in sacks but not so good in pressure. I think it’s more than likely he stays and Ballard goes out and gets a new ER who can be expected to bring the pressure. Our current ER’s are nice players but not dominant in bringing pressure. I’m expecting a major attempt to get that player.
  2. If Gus stays I think the likelihood of the 1st pick being an ER increases. His defense is dependent on the front four putting up significant pressure. We were 5th in sacks, which is great, but they have to create more pressure for the defense to perform at a high level in his scheme. So if he stays I think Ballard will be looking for a player who can bring that pressure from the edge. Now there is also a chance he could make a move in FA if a great player makes it to FA or he could trade the pick like he did for Buckner. So he has a number of paths to acquire one. A difference maker coming off the edge would really propel our defense to another level and most likely to a top 10 defense imo.
  3. He is so lucky. Their first touchdown was luck. Sometimes the better team doesn’t win.
  4. His multi million cap hit starts in 2024. Currently their 2024 cap number is negative 43m.
  5. I know. It would be great if they could get it done sooner. Eliminate the elephant in the room. Then you can move on to the rest of the roster.
  6. I could never ever understand that logic especially after he proved unequivocally he was perfect for the RT spot.
  7. Let’s hope it’s not him. I would think they will want someone younger.
  8. I understand. Just some record keeping primarily.
  9. T. McLaurin from the Commanders. They will have a new coach. Could pry him away.
  10. They are not proven though. I would prefer the proven player. Instant weapon for AR.
  11. In 2020 we traded the 13th pick for Buckner. We now have the 15th pick. The time is perfect for Ballard to do a similar deal for another playmaker. Time for Ballard to get AR that proven receiver.
  12. We traded the 13th pick for Buckner back in 2020. I hope we do something similar for a WR or ER this off season.
  13. I don’t get excited about future contracts. Don’t see them as being a big deal. Rather see them announce the Pitman extension. That would get everyone’s mood back up.
  14. Coach Tomlin has done a tremendous job. He does it every year.
  15. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t pick up his 5th year option. He was surrounded by talent.
  16. Lawrence is way overrated. I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t pick up his 5th year option.
  17. Sorry dude, you have your opinion I have mine.
  18. Great play design? The guy can’t get our number two receiver open all year. 17 games and something like 30 catches. Seriously. He had all year to get him involved and that’s the best he can do. The jury is still out on Steichen. People loved Reich early and he got us to a playoff game. Things can change pretty quickly. I’m hoping he can do it but his game management, situational football decisions, player utilization and game planning need a lot of attention. It was a good season but the reason we didn’t make the playoffs is on him.
  19. Goodsons role is to play when the others are unable to go. If he was a good pass catching back he would be out there in pass catching situations. He clearly is not. He does not see the field. And didn’t yesterday until Steichen got cute. Taylor had 180 yards. His best game this year. He was playing on the final drive. Moss was also available. Coach blew it plain and simple. Hopefully he learned his lesson.
  20. Players are rated and playing according to their performance. Teams have 1st string 2nd string 3rd string players rated for a reason. 3rd string players shouldn’t see the field when the players ahead of them are healthy and available. Especially in a game deciding play. I would guess they couldn’t believe their eyes when they didn’t see Taylor or Moss out there. Mind blowing.
  21. I hope Ballard and Irsay both have a conversation with Steichen about the importance of playing situational football and player utilization. You don’t pay your best playmakers to sit on the bench when the game is on the line. He failed miserably yesterday. From the obvious last play to going for it on 4th down in th middle of the field late in the game when they could have pinned them back deep like their punter did to us on numerous occasions. Field position matters in games especially in a win it all game. He was out coached yesterday. Every one knows it and saw it. He is being criticized every where for how he coached yesterday. Irsay should be angry and so should Ballard. I’m sure they were not expecting that kind of performance from him. Only one third down conversion the entire game and it came at the end of the game. That’s remarkable. And not putting the game in the hands of your best playmaker is mind boggling. Not even on the field when he’s averaging 6 yards per carry. He could have been a decoy if you wanted to try to trick them. A wasted opportunity and all the coach has to do is look into the mirror to see who is at fault. He let all the fans and his team down yesterday. That is the Gods honest truth.
  22. I don’t like Holder but this time he is right on.
  23. Is that who our coach is? Omg!
