Jarvis Landry, Chandler Jones to mention a few other names they dropped. They know he's frugal but they think he needs to make some noise and improve our roster knowing the AFC South is a weak division. No argument from me.

Ballard had the chance to trade for him for a low pick and with all of our cap space. Now he’s in competition with other interested teams. Time for Ballard to step up and fill a major need.

Wrong. They let him test the market and he received an offer that was stronger than what we were offering. Ballard wanted him so he beat the other teams offer. Pretty simple really.

If it is Mariota I could see Ballard really spending the cap space on top tier FA’s to really fill some big holes; LT, ER, WR.
