  1. To the OP, by that post, I doubt you have even watched AR play. When he has played, he has been borderline good. 7 total TD's, 59.5% completions which is technically 60% rounded up, only 1 INT. Also, when we played Houston at Houston, he had 2 early TDs to put us up 14-0 so our defense could control the game. Stroud was playing catch up all day. Did you see his comeback against the Rams down 23-0? Most of that was passing. I think Mustache is a bit underrated, I have him above average and he can win us some games, but AR has a chance to be special. Just pile on the guy while he is injured = Booooooooooo.
  2. Watching Aaron Rodgers on the McAfee show. He said, he has been impressed with the Mustache Man this year. That the Colts will still be ok with him starting. He also said that AR has a chance to be a special great QB, but he said - You need to slide dude .
  3. I rarely pick us to lose, the 1 time I have this year was at Baltimore and we won
  4. Both are ballers. You can tell they love the game and give 100% every game. Ballard fleeced Buffalo by trading for Moss.
  5. I agree with your definition of actually tanking. That is why I have always thought tanking is a loser mentality. For me it has to be a super rare circumstance for me to be ok with to do a quiet tank job . I have been a fan since 1984 and the only time I was ok with losing/tanking was in 2011. Let me add, we were 0-8 when I got ok with it in 2011 - seasons was over at that point. We had a bad aging roster with the exception of Wayne and Mathis, I knew Peyton would probably be gone, and Andrew Luck was going to be there at #1. That is how rare it has to be ok for me. 1 time out of 40 seasons, I didn't mind losing, so 1 out of 40 seasons is not even 1% of the time. It is like .025%.
  6. Even if we get punched in the mouth by the Jags and lose by 14 or so, 1 bad game won't change my mind about Shane. It will be disappointing though.
  7. Colts 23-19. The D comes up big and holds the Jags below 20 and we score just enough. Matt Gay with 3 FG's in this game.
  8. I can't wait for this Jags game, if we win that, that would be a huge win for Shane. We haven't won there since 2014.
  9. I agree with all your points, very well put. He holds people accountable and has a high football IQ from what I am watching.
  10. What a week to sit Moss. I probably would have too with Taylor back, so I understand it. Moss was unreal Sunday.
  11. QB and Coach are vitally important as you know. So far AR has played better than most have expected, just hasn't been able to stay healthy. Potentially he can be good, he needs to be for us to compete with the teams I mentioned above. The 4 games he has played in have been valuable by themselves as far getting a feel for the NFL game. As far as Shane goes, so far I am impressed with him. I think he can become a great coach.
  12. We could very well lose Moss but Taylor is a proven great. I am enjoying this year, just wish AR could stay healthy. I have a feeling Mustache is going to leave as well for a better payday, so AR will have to stay healthy in 2024.
  13. We need more pieces to compete with teams like the Chiefs, Bengals, Bills, and even the Ravens. We did beat the Ravens but they have a better overall team in reality. Those 4 teams all have great QB's which makes the conference difficult. Of course Miami is another team that is loaded on offense as well. I think we can compete with the Jags, we did beat them last year and we weren't good at all last year. Future wise and big picture, I agree we need to keep getting better. I think we are starting to show some signs now but we need AR healthy. I like how our O.Line is playing, and D.Line and LBs are playing. Our RBs are among the best too. I look at it as baby steps, win the division and just keep getting better and better in 2024 and 2025 and so on.
  14. We have 2 great RBs now so I say load the box up. Mustache can still burn a loaded box by a quick short pass to lets say Downs or even Taylor out of the backfield. That could result in a huge play.
  15. I have to admit, I don't much about him. Book has a little game.
  16. To your 1st sentence/2nd paragraph. I was thinking like you but after watching the 1st 5 games, I think we can win the division. We have played pretty good so far. I guess we will find out more this upcoming week. The Jags are good. We won at Baltimore so who knows?
  17. I never said Mustache is that good (10 in a row lol). I do think he can win some games though and keep us in a playoff hunt. Moving forward, AR will be the starter again when healthy.
  18. After talking to Irsay, Shane probably picked up on that Irsay is a fair owner and won't meddle too much. Shane is pretty smart. He knew Irsay has been around forever as well and has won a lot.
  19. Part of Young's struggles could very well being in that organization.
  20. Best case scenario is, he is only out 4 games but that is wishful thinking on my part.
  21. Good points. I heard on the Bowen show this morning that his size could be hurting him, he is hitting the turf with more impact and he may not even be done growing because he is only 21 which is related to bone structure. I don't know anything about that but just passing on what the guys were talking about on his show earlier.
