  1. Nah Hue Hefner - only guy in America where people thought it was cool a 90 year old sleeping with 20-year old women was cool
  2. Every GM does their homework and knows a player past injuries. Ballard knew of AR's injuries. That is just common sense. They interview these guys and know everything about them in today's NFL.
  3. I hope JU JU is back, that will really help.
  4. Next year is really going to be fun, especially if we add another playmaker on offense. Downs is already starting to remind me of TY Hilton. Pitt is pretty solid too. We have Taylor taken care of as well.
  5. Problem with Watson is, I think he wants 5 wives.
  6. Me too but I will say this, I am 50/50 on that game. A lot of tough one's this week.
  7. Regarding tonight's game, it could go either way. I don't put nothing past Joe Burrow. I have mad respect for the guy. I know what he is capable of seeing how played the last 2 years.
  8. It is hard to believe that some overlook the 4 games AR played in regarding experience on the Pro level. Not only did he look unphased at times and play well, him getting injured should teach him a valuable lesson. Going into next season, he should have much more confidence.
  9. I think the next 2 games will really tell us because if are really any good, we should win both. We should beat Tennessee as well; they are banged up and Levis really doesn't fear me as a fan.
  10. Yep, I am enjoying the ride this season. Next season is next season. We are in this thing again after the silly debacle vs the Browns. As long as you make the playoffs, anything can happen. Nobody gave us a chance in 1995 and we were right there.
  11. I think everyone in here including myself are anxious to see how AR plays next year. The anxiety is really tough on people because he is our future. I get it. That is why I am enjoying this season and just living it up when we win because you never know what the future may bring.
  12. All of his injuries prior to coming here have been nick-knack injuries except his shoulder. The article states, now that he is having shoulder surgery, the probability of him injuring it again is 3% and it won't affect his throwing motion or arm strength. I like those odds. Of course, there will be a few in here blow his injuries out of proportion .
  13. I had us 8-8-1 before the season and that was assuming AR would play year. I went ahead and voted 9 on this poll because I see at least 4 real winnable games. We should beat Tampa, Tennessee again, Raiders, and Falcons. None of those teams have a decisive QB edge is why. 4 of the 5 losses we have had, those teams had a big QB advantage = Lawrence twice, Stafford, and Carr. All those QB's are seasoned and know how to win.
  14. Not saying it is a fair stat but it is a factual stat and has been forever. So, when I said AR is 2-2 as a starter, I stated a fact going by NFL rules. Also, when he left with injury we were ahead in both games. I think had we lost after he left, it would not have been fair to give him the loss but by rule, had we lost to Houston and Tennessee he would be 0-4.
  15. So are you rolling with the Broncos then? If so, as of now we disagree on only 4 games. EasyE and I agreed on every pick, at least so far.
  16. I am going to go ahead and keep my picks as is for now. Browns are actually playing good without Watson. Remember, if a game is played on Sunday, everyone can change a pick they change their mind on as long as you post it before the game starts.
  17. I am not avoiding anything. Nice try, trying to make me look incompetent. Levis did play bad at Tampa Bay. His team put up 6 points, take stats out of it. The guy can do no wrong in your book, he could throw 3 INTS in a game and you would find away to say he played good. SMH. If Richardson played like that at Tampa, you would be bashing the hell out of him.
  18. It is an NFL rule that has been around since football started. Go look at pro football reference when looking up a QBs stats. It shows their W/L record. The rule is, any QB that starts a game will get credit for a win or loss. If you don't like the rule, call Goodell up and get it changed. I stated a fact as usual and you just piled on me again not knowing a rule that has been around when my grandmother was born. SMH. Not only that we were winning both games when left. It wasn't like he was behind and got bailed out.
  19. Browns have a rookie starting. Not PJ, I may switch that pick but not sure yet. I have until Sunday.
  20. It's hard to explain in writing, because I can't talk about it in person. Stats are meaningful and do show things, but they aren't the tell all. For example, what if a QB throws for 300 yards, 3 TD's, and only 1 INT but that INT cost his team points, or he fails to score on his final drive to win the game. Then the opposing QB only throws 215 yards, 2 TD's, and 1 meaningless INT but wins the game based on being smarter in certain situations. The 1st QB will have a higher Passer rating and QBR which is where it is flawed. I can come up with 100's examples like that.
  21. Because stats are still important to a point, they just aren't everything and don't tell the whole story. You can't just totally dismiss stats if a QB throws INT's or fumbles costing his team. I just thought his stats at Pitt weren't that good hence that post. The real reason why I posted that I thought Levis played average was because of his final 2 drives. The drive before the INT, he had a great chance to take Tennessee down for a winning drive. Milk the clock way down starting from the 48 and they went 4 and out. That drive bothered me more than his last drive. He had hurry on his last drive so mistakes happen. I never said he played bad, I said average. If you by the stats, it looked bad. I did take into account he made some tough good completions, and he is a rookie. He also took a lot of hits. So that is where stats are a non-factor.
  22. I personally have never been a fan of things like PFF, Passer rating, or QBR. All of those are simply flawed. If anyone has watched football for at least 30 years, they know who is better than who if they have a great football mind. Who has the leadership, who makes his team better, who comes through in the clutch, who wins, EYE TEST. None of those things are measured on any made-up formula statistical measure. I have been watching since the 1977 season, so that gives me 47 seasons of knowledge .
