Wow, 4 NFC West teams in the first 5. Might be good warm ups before playing the tough part of our schedules.

Sunday Night at Seahawks, Monday Night at Titans and Thanksgiving Thursday night vs Broncos (mostly a win).

I LOVE the fact that we have a TON of 1 pm ET games, because for some reason our 1 pm ET performances tend to be good. So, the Steelers game at 1 pm ET, I am hoping is not flexed later.

You had me convinced we had a thanksgiving game, but we don't lol. We play Denver week 15. I love the Week 4 match up. We have Cleveland the previous week, so hopefully we blow them out and are able to rest some of our guys.

I honestly believe Seattle will not be the powerhouse they have been defensively anymore Sherman is no longer a top 3 corner. Thomas can not stay healthy, and there D-Line isn't all that great. I honestly believe we may start the season out 6-1, 7-1.

I do like the 1 pm games as well. I think the Steelers game is too early in the season to be flexed as well.

I like how we have Jacksonville and Tennessee back to back both times throughout the season. Schedule is definitely in our favor.

Well, If you were a fan of J.Peppers, then this is your opportunity to get him somewhere in the second.

He's be a steal at number 47 in the second round. I've read he was cramping and had to have fluids put in his body. I've dealt with cramps the last 5 years due to kidney disease, and have had fluids put in my body through IV's several times.

If if this is the case he will still be a first rounder.

First off,  I should say I don't think we're going to take one of the sexy RB's.      I don't see the Colts taking Fournette,  Cook,   McCaffrey,   Mixon,   Kamara,  Samuel (I see him as a RB,  others see a WR)  or Foreman.

I think our next RB comes from a group of the following:    (and not necessarily in the order I'm listing them)      I see the Colts taking a RB in rounds 3-5 with the most likely round being the 4th.

    Samje Perine/Oklahoma:

    Jeremy McNichols/Boise State:

    Marlon Mack/South Florida:

    Kareem Hunt/Toledo:

    Brian Hill/Wyoming:

    Wayne Gallman/Clemson:

    James Connor/Pittsburgh:

    DeAngelo Henderson/Coastal Carolina:

    Jamaal Williams/BYU:

If you have a favorite that I haven't listed,  I think we might show interest in them IF we draft a 2nd RB in this class,   or if we sign another after the draft like we did with Ferguson.      Otherwise,   I think one of these 9 is the potential heir apparent to Frank Gore,  unless we taking one of the talented backs in the 2018 class.

Nice list. You listed enough the odds are pribably in your favor that we draft one of the listed RB's because I don't see them drafting one of the "sexy" RB's either.

  4. Call me crazy, but I'd like to have two new backs this year instead of Gore.

Gore will be fine, but we won't have that athleticism of a young back.

I think Jeremy Hill could be had for our 4th or 5th due to the Bengals being interested in one of the top picks this year. We could trade back on one of our third or 3 4th round picks(2 if we nab Ballard) and draft a RB in the 5th or 6th,

otherwise, draft Foreman in the 3rd or Conner in the 4th(doubt he is there, but only so many RB's can be taken) if he is there and hope they become our RB of the future.

He has a device to check it. I had him do it twice to make sure. The meter said 3 percent. I thought I was at 5-10 range. And my abs are showing in that picture. You can count them. Plus I bet I'm 10 times more cut than you.

There is nothing wrong with being 10-15% body fat man. I mean who would even want to be at 3% body fat? It's sickening IMO. You look healthy. If you were at 3% you would have a clear cut 8 pack, veins popping out everywhere, and would not have wouldn't even want to be 3% body fat. I'm at 12% and I'm completely satisfied with that. I think 3% body fat looks bad personally.

You are bulkier than I am(more muscle), but my abs are clearer and I have a 12 % body fat. If you can clearly see the bottom two abs, you aren't below 11% body fat.

Alrighty then. I'm just saying if he regains his top five potential. Could be an all pro linebacker. Might not be laughing to long

Yeah. But he has already sat out a whole year and the Cowboys didn't even give a first round pick for him. He is a project, and he may be out of shape. I would do a 3rd round pick in the 2018 draft or a 4th this year, but anything more would be a bad trade. I don't think he is better than any of the players we could take at 15 anyways.

Myself and 3 mates were already flying to Las Vegas from New Zealand for the first week of September.

We were then waiting to see the NFL draw to figure out if we would head to LA or SF for the final few days of our trip.

So fortunate that the Colts are in LA for the first week..

Only issue is now i want to spend 500 and get amazing seats on the colts sideline while my mates dont want to spend that much

That sucks. I've had that issue with pacer tickets. Luckily they are cheaper at a basketball game so I just paid an extra $150 after my ticket so we could all get great seats.

I actually would not mind it.

It seems pretty tough to imagine happening but if it did happen then you have to keep in mind that the Texans/Jags or Titans would be the HUGE underdogs that knocked off the Patriots or Steelers etc. And that alone would be worth a celebration to see eggs on those teams faces.

It would be kinda cool.........but then again if it actually did happen I may feel differently.

But, I actually have pulled for Houston in the playoffs too when we didn't make it in. I don't mind their defense and they can be easy to root for in that regard if we don't make it in. And sometimes they can be sad to watch too since they can never find a QB to match their defensive efforts. They kinda at times look like the old Dome Patrol Saints who were all defense but never found a QB.

Jags? That would seem like a joke though if it happened. You know like the Jags won the AFC since the other AFC teams all got Ebola or something......

Titans? Mariota would be looking like a bad aazz. I kinda don't mind him at all.

I don't mind the jags and titans, but personally I hate Houston. They are a rival team to me, and they have knocked us out of the playoffs the last two years. Plus, I don't like anybody on their team except JJ Watt.

The reason I don't mind the Titans or Jags is because it's hard to root against someone to finally do good when they never make the playoffs or contend for the division(except last season.) The titans have built mainly through the draft and I respect that.

These are the top rated players still on the Big Board:

    101 WR  JOSH REYNOLDS - TEXAS A&M
102 QB  BRAD KAAYA - MIAMI
103 TE  JORDAN LEGGETT - CLEMSON
    112 OT  JULIE'N DAVENPORT - BUCKNELL
116 WR  SHELTON GIBSON - WEST VIRGINIA
117 LB  DUKE RILEY - LSU
121 WR  RYAN SWITZER - NORTH CAROLINA
    124 S  JOSH HARVEY-CLEMONS - LOUISVILLE
127 WR  MALACHI DUPRE - LSU
    129 G  JORDAN MORGAN - KUTZTOWN
130 EDGE  DEVONTE FIELDS - LOUISVILLE
133 CB  MARQUEZ WHITE - FLORIDA STATE
134 DL  NAZAIR JONES - NORTH CAROLINA
135 EDGE  VINCE BIEGEL - WISCONSIN
    136 G  JESSAMEN DUNKER - TENNESSEE STATE

I think Devonte Fields is going to be a steal in the 4th and will be an above average player in this league.

The offense they run make the lines look better, not their releases....notthat it hurts.

Right. I'm sure it kind of goes hand in hand. Peyton definitely has a quicker release tho. Allowing for him to get it out faster. But yes, Luck's release is plenty quick if we would run the right offense. Hopefully this year, we throw more dump off passes to open up the deep ball even more.

For past three years I've railed against Grigson and the coaches for allowing Andrew Luck to takes beatings. He has been hit more than any other QB due to crap offensive line and too long pass routes by Chud Offense plays.

Shorter pass routes like Patriots employ and at least one or two more stud lineman needed. Otherwise it does not matter how much better our defense is because number 12 will be sitting on the sidelines due to another serious injury.   if Luck is out, Colts are done.  You really want average lineman protecting him?

I think a QB with a quick release like Peyton and Brady can make an Offensive line look a lot better than they really are. If we ran more screens and crossing routes like you said, defenses would likely pressure us less. I have no idea why we don't throw short passes more often with the quick receivers that we have.

Signing Hankins has to make everyone feel better. I have a feeling our first pick will be lamp. Without Hankins that probably wouldn't be so, but since we have him it just seems fitting to go Lamp round 1.

I hope you God if we do go Lamp, we trade back first before taking him.

  13. I would assume that he works out his legs still quite a bit. When he refers to doing nothing but rest and following doctors orders, he is referring to his shoulder. 20 pounds is A LOT of weight to lose. I'm sure he has lost a good 10-12 pounds. And I'm sure it was not all by accident. He will be just fine!

You are a little low and extremely conservative with that estimate.  http://overthecap.com/salary-cap/indianapolis-colts

Current cap room for 2018 according to overthecap: 76.5M

-10M for Hankins - He hasn't been counted on the table yet.

    66.5M left

    - 10M for Mewhort

    - 7M for Moncrief

    - 9M for Davis

    40.5M Left

    - 7M for 2017 draft picks

    - 7M for 2018 draft picks

    26.5M Left

    BUT!!!!

And that's assuming that we spend that much on Mewhort and Moncrief (I consider those high end numbers) and that Davis is re-signed for 9M which is a big assumption.  (Because of injuries, age and declining play it might make more sense to let Davis walk or at the very least lower his pay.)  If we let Davis walk then the workable cap space goes up by 9M.

That's also assuming that we keep all of our 2017 draft picks and we don't cut anyone (Highly unlikely).

That also doesn't take into account the cap increasing, nor does it take into account cap-rollover.   Cap rollover could be big.  Right now after they count Hankins against our cap and get the draft picks signed I'm projecting us to still have about 13 M in cap space left.  Figure in 4 M for in season transactions and you are looking at about 9M in cap space that will likely roll over to 2018.

Honestly I think you are looking at about 40 M of workable cap space for new free agents.  Probably the same amount if not more then this year.  Only way it doesn't work out like that is if our prove it guys like Mingo and Aiken all exceed expectations and we bring them back.

Either that or Ballard brings in a higher priced free agent on a multi-year deal between now and then.

I would be VERY surprised if Davis gets the much money as he will be 31 years old during the 2018 season. Thanks for the information! Glad we have a good chunk of change to spend.

Just finished watching Loads of Highlights on this guy. He definitely looks like a Jack Doyle 2.0. Could see him fitting with the colts offense perfectly do you all agree?

We don't really need another Jack Doyle. He is our number 1 now, but if we do indeed grab another tight end. It needs to be one that can block well and/or is a big Red Zone threat IMO.
