  1. Well it was on the news last night that the Explosion on the southside of Indy is now a Criminal Homiside Investigation. That is so sad that 2 innocent people lost their lives and many their homes are destroyed. I just hope they find those responsible and they are brought to justice.

Good point MAC! Desperation & huge financial debt can often make people do "unspeakable things" to keep their head above water. Well said MAC; well said.

Your cat Peyton is AWESOME Gramz! Yes, I like dogs too. I like most pets as long as they don't try to put me on their diner menu & eat me. Translation: No snakes, hyenas, alligators, or exotic illegally imported wildlife please. Thanks.

Gramz, I know that you are a very caring person who takes good care of all her friends, family, pets, & people in need. You have a great personality, a good soul, & you aid & assist anyone who needs help. :) Thank you for th...

  2. Well I had computer problems all day yesterday and found out that I was sent an E-Mail from my provider that there were changes being made yesterday and I didn't read it and didn't get some codes changed. Duh I guess I'd best start reading my E-Mail's from my provider. lol

You know it's really too bad when you let computer problems ruin your day. lol I guess I take it too much for granted and want it running smoothly. What did we do before computers? haha By the way tell Ron it was nice talking to him.

Tim McGraw is a good country singer. He's no Travis Tritt or Trisha Yearwood though, but I digress...I am not a big consumer of alcohol either. I'm bizarre & crazy enough without it. HA! HA! I'm glad you enjoyed watching the CMA Awards Susie Q! :)

Remember, TV is a visual medium.... people want to see what's going on. Anyone can sit inside a studio and tell you about it. People in TV want to SHOW you what's happening. But, at some point, reporters need to be extra careful. You can be outside during a Hurricane and get yourself KILLED. Debris and downed power lines and such don't care if you're a reporter. They'll kill you just as quick as they'll kill anyone else. But TV people really are sincer...

    3. southwest1

      southwest1

NCF, yes TV is indeed a visual medium. But, that's the problem: Real investigative reporting in this country is dead or at least on life support because journalism is a popularity contest now consumed with not losing access to governors, mayors, senators, and the Chief of fire & police. You can't critique, criticize, or use critical thinking anymore. If you do, you lose access & get fired. What about the story? Not kissing butt.

    4. southwest1

      southwest1

MCF, I agree 100% safety in the midst of a natural disaster is truly essential & warranted. Being in the heart of a calamity in the forefront, doesn't mean you need to put yourself in danger, volatile situations, & bodily harm. Great reporters still create a vivid storyline & tapestry without being exposed to the elements. Use imagery, description, and the power of the written word to transport me into another person's experience=real journalism.

  17. Well I'm bummed out because I can't work training camp this year because of my asthma and allergies with the heat situation. Oh well if it would change before camp is over maybe I can try one day. Total bummer to say the least.

sorry to hear that... get better.. my daughter struggled playing soccer on Saturday due to allergies and asthma, the temp was so high and an ozone action day.. allegra, qvar, albuterol.. have you tried the qvar?

Allergies can be a major bummer Susie Q. Both my sister & my nephew suffer from that too. Hang in there my friend. I hope that you get some relief real soon.

  18. You know I'm really a patientperson but this heat (with having asthma) is about to get the best of me. If it doesn't let up I may not be able to work Colts Camp and that will make me a very unhappy camper. For the first week I have signed up for the early schedule so I can be out of there maybe before the heat and humidity gets really high. Ugh

Could you please send some back to Anderson we haven't had any for so long I can't remember when. I have kept my tomatoes watered but they need good ole rain right now. I haven't cut my grass for over a month and won't do so until we get some rain.

    3. BrentMc11

      BrentMc11

My tomatoes are getting bad too. Too many days of 100s, and I was out there working it. So that rain went straight to Gramz? I thought I saw the radar correctly....Hang in there Susie!!

  20. Colts Training Camp is right around the corner and they only have 89 volunteers. They need about 200 or more so it looks like they are going to have to use some of the students that might already be here for the school year. Last year they had a lot more than that. Wonder what the problem is?

    1. BrentMc11

      BrentMc11

I wonder if the 95+ temperatures are holding some back. If I lived up there I would gladly help.

    2. MIColtsFan

      MIColtsFan

      what do the volunteers do?

    3. Susie Q

      Susie Q

Volunteers just help the people that attend and they have to attend a 2 hour training before camp starts. You can sign up on any days you can work. If you PM me I can give you a link to the Anderson University Training .

My weeds are happy. A few days ago, I said it was too hot to pull weeds. Today, I said it was too cold to pull weeds. If the weather and I keep this up, those weeds will be chin high by the 4th of July.
