  1. I have Emmitt around the 5th best RB of all time. Sanders is number 1 in my book.
  2. It won't be a good season. 3-6 wins is all they will muster.
  3. and I do not blame the NFL for it. Gambling gives an avenue for rigged games and that could ruin the sport. MLB feels the same way which is why Rose is not in the HOF.
  4. Not a scrub, but learning from the bench as many great QB's have done. I also do not think Irsay, Steichen or Ballard are willing to throw the season away if the team is winning. AR may be the starter day 1 and that would be fine. It means he won the job in training camp, not that he is the second best on the team but Irsay wants to lose in order to give him playing time.
  5. The National Football League continues to deal with issues related to gambling. The NFL is expected to hand down season-long suspensions this week to a "handful of players" for violating the league’s gambling policy, according to ESPN. Indianapolis Colts cornerback and kick returner Isaiah Rodgers is expected to be one of the players suspended for the season, per ESPN’s report. TOM BRADY REACTS TO RYAN MALLETT'S DEATH: 'WE LOST A GREAT MAN' Rodgers has been the subject of a league investigation into a possible violation of the NFL’s gambling policy, which includes possibly gambling on Colts games. In a June 5th social media post, Rodgers admitted to an "error in judgment." "Addressing the current reports, I want to take full responsibility for my actions," Rodgers wrote. "I know I have made mistakes and I am willing to do whatever it takes to repair the situation. The last thing I ever wanted to do was to be a distraction to the Colts organization, my coaches, and my teammates. I’ve let people down that I care about. "I made an error in judgment and I am going to work hard to make sure that those mistakes are rectified throughout the process. It’s an honor to play in the NFL and I have never taken that lightly. I am very sorry for all of this." The league suspended three players indefinitely in April and gave two others six-game suspensions for violating the NFL’s gambling policy. https://www.foxnews.com/sports/nfl-expected-hand-down-season-long-suspensions-handful-nfl-players-gambling-violations-report
  6. I do understand where you are coming from, but if Minshew is playing well and they are playoff bound, I would leave Minshew in there. I think AR get in there as soon as the team doesn't look good, whether the record is 2-4, 4-6 or 6-8. But if they are 4-2, 6-4 or 8-6 and Minshew is playing well, they need to play for winning this season.
  7. I understand it may be skewed, but we all know RB's typically do not hold up and have long productive careers. I'd be good with letting Taylor go in 3 years (including 2 franchise tags if he is performing well).
  8. I do think BHam wins the game. Their kicker will be trying out for some NFL teams I would think. He was 14 of 15 kicking field goals with the lone miss from over 50 yards. 35/35 on the XP.
  9. That may happen but I would prefer to franchise him. Of course it depends on what kind of year he has this season. If they franchise him for 2 years, he would be going into year 7 after that. RB's have the shortest careers of all football players.
  10. And they shouldn't. After his rookie deal they could franchise him 2 years and then see what happens. In todays NFL, RB's are not paid huge long term contracts and if one is signed it is many times regretted by the team. Look at a few of the highest paid RB's recently: Christian McCaffrey: Traded Ezekiel Elliott: Released Melvin Gordon: Released Dalvin Cook: Potential trade candidate Derrick Henry: Potential trade candidate
  11. I do agree with this, but to keep on the positive, the Colts drafted a QB high in the draft, so hope has to be here.
  12. Birmingham vs Pittsburg for the Championship July 1st. I'll be pulling for Pit.
  13. Well the Cards needed this split. I'm happy with it. Now they need to beat Houston 2/3 to keep their 3/4 alive.
  14. I'll trust your opinion as I haven't watched the NBA for many years. I couldn't even identify one Pacer player by looking at them.
  15. Draft grades are not very reliable, but I looked just to see. CBS gave them a C. Pacers 8. Jarace Walker, PF, Houston (via Wizards) 26. Ben Sheppard, SG, Belmont 47. Mojave King, SG, G League Ignite (via Lakers) 55. Isaiah Wong, SG, Miami This was a pretty underwhelming haul on the whole but the determining factor for how this class will be viewed, obviously, will come down to how Jarace Walker develops with the Pacers. At No. 8 I was surprised he was still on the board and think that can be a nice fit long-term as Indy rebuilds around Tyrese Haliburton. Grade: C (Boone)
  16. I agree with this. Not a fan. Maybe if they keep it for 30 years it will be OK.
  17. So are you guys thinking the Pacers can compete for a Championship in the next few years or will they go back to winning enough to make the playoffs but that is it? Back to poor draft spots?
  18. I have never heard of the players the Pacers drafted. 3 SF's in the first round.
  19. I totally disagree. This would be the best case scenario. If Minshew starts every game it would mean the Colts are winning games. Playoff bound. That would be great.
  20. Bold prediction. Minshew will start every game this season. AR will be in for some garbage time snaps.
  21. Tampa also signed Chase McLaughlin who Hot Rod lost his job to last year. It'll be an interesting competition. I don't really have faith in Hot Rod beyond 40 yards.
  22. i wouldn't sign him long terms. The option to franchise tag him twice is still there once his rookie deal is done. RB's do not and should not usually get long term huge contracts.
  23. Well they have won their last 4 games. If they split their next 4 they will be on the 3/4 pace I believe they need. The Reds are tearing it up though.
  24. Cubs lost today and are in 4th place but only 4 games out of first. 1. Brewers 36-34 2. Reds 36-35 (.5) 3. Pirates 34-35 (2.5) 4. Cubs 33-37 (4) 5. Cards 28-43 (8.5) If the Cards don't start winning 3 out of 4 games, they will be eliminated soon. The have the offense to do it but not the pitching.
