  1. how much did Pierce and Richardson hook up when he was healthy? Pierce has some athletic flaws that we need upgrades on. You can't do much with him in terms of RAC, he doesn't make anyone miss with the ball in his hands, he drops balls. About the most you get out of him is a few deep shots and he doesn't even come down with those as much as he showed in college. We could stand an upgrade.
  2. No Shane is going to be a very good coach. He just got too cute on that last play.

    Needs?

For me Blackmon is the veteran at this point. I'd be fine with replacing either of the other safeties. Im not as high on Cross as you are. I like the athletic traits but Im still waiting on the instincts and some of the other things you'd like to see that I haven't seen yet. I know we drafted a young guy this year who got injured so maybe he's in the mix next year. Maybe you let everybody continue to grow together but all in all Im not against any changes for the better back there.

    Needs?

I dont think the need at corner is all that big. I think you let your young corners grow. I like Brents, I like Jones, I like Flowers. Kenny Moore is getting old so maybe some better depth behind Kenny and any where else the depth needs to be improved. Maybe look at replacing one of the safeties or just keep the same group. Everybody in our secondary is young. If you can i say keep them together so they can nail down the communication. Me personally i think you have to look some at the DL a little because Buck and Stewart are getting old. Im not sure what the terms are with Ebukam, not sure what the deal is with Lewis. And Im sure there is somebody else Im missing. Just make sure the pass rush is an even bigger strength next year.
  5. Well Im out here in Houston so if Colts are eliminated then I automatically have to switch and route for the home team. LOL!
  6. We got to add some real dynamic talent at WR next year for sure. If you expect Houston to trot out the same WR corps again you aren't living in reality. Once you line Stroud up with some real WR and a real RB we got problems for a good while. We need to get our artillery right because it's not getting any easier.
  7. We were kind of stuck because Pittman was hemmed up and Pierce was non productive. The only thing we really had was a few tight end throws and running Taylor. We can't repeat this again! Receiving corps has to be addressed bc Pierce isn't the answer. We need something more dynamic to go along with Pittman and Downs.
  8. I doubt it. The great ones you pretty much have to kill them to not be in there on the last play with the playoffs on the line. I don't think it was due to injury. I just think Shane got too cute there. Both Taylor and Moss ran well through out the game. He should have went with option A or B and be good with whatever happened. Instead he tried to catch them off guard and use something we struggled with all game long.
  9. Absolutely no way with the playoffs on the line do you bring the backup backup running back in and throw a pass to him. Jeesh not only do you not go with Taylor but you also left Moss on the bench. It was 1 stinking yard! I wouldn't have blamed Steichen in the least if we ran there and got stopped. We'd been giving them the business on the ground for much of the game. We got too cute in that moment. Yes Goodson was open, but #1 he's the backup to the backup so Im sure he was nervous, and #2 Minshew was missing most of his throws the whole game. We had barely picked up any of our 3rd downs for the whole game. We should have lived and died with the run man on the 4th down play. I don't like the taste of how we ended this loss.
  10. Yeah but why pass there? And if so why not do it with Moss if you don't go with Taylor? That moment was too big to bring Goodson in to catch a pass, and Im sorry we should have just given it to Taylor and let him plow his way for the first down. We are talking about 1 stinking yard!! We push them around all night long and all of a sudden we want to get cute. That play reminded me of the Pats/Seahawks Superbowl game. Just run the darn ball and if you don't pick it up at least you went out on something that has been proven to work. Leave with no regrets for Gods sake!
  11. Im just saying we've seen better D than ATL
  12. Nevermind us playing Cleveland and putting up multiple scores? You're saying they are better than Cleveland?
  13. Winnable game if the offense wasn't so awful. The D bent but didn't break other than 2 TD, Everything else was field goals,
  14. We lack explosive players on O. I doubt Pierce is ever going to be a reliable #2 I still believe Woods will be the type of mismatch Tight End we need. No idea what's happened with Ogletree . We need Pittman, Downs, and Somebody Else at #2.
  15. I don't blame this on the Colts D. I put most if not all of it on the play or non play of the O today. They were terrible!
  16. less people open with Pittman out. need to run more to open up some play action
  17. we can run it if they just commit a little bit more. minshew plays better with an active ground game. not as good if they are consistently dropping back. i haven't seen anything just yet that says we can't run. we need to run more with Pittman out
  18. need to use Ogletree more in my opinion. we don't even target him much like I thought we would
