Some sacks here and there can come by luck but there's a very good reason some are vastly better at it than others. The more of those types you have on your DL the better. And of course there is more to DL play than just sacks. I just don't see sacks as largely derived from luck when these guys spend a lot of time learning how to properly get through a defender, read keys and what not.

Ballard has a whole staff full of stat guys like you with the same charts and graphs. I think they have a different interpretation on the data then your take. It's impossible that he isn't aware of how the numbers come about what influences the numbers to fall a certain way. They haven't made major changes in the starting personnel on the DL. And I say this with respect to you. I don't sacks are luck bc people are taught how to get after the QB and how to beat blocks. They just don't luck into it unless we want to say Freeneys gold jacket was all luck. What else did he do good besides rush the passer?

A couple points of interest here MHJ is not doing any testing Combine or Pro Day. Thats a bit new for me According to this sports illustrated article Combine Officials already knew he wasn't going to talk on the podium. "Harrison broke his silence by reposting a tweet on X, formerly known as Twitter, from Shane P. Hallam of Draft Countdown that implied combine officials knew conversations weren't going to happen." However he did do some individual interviews directly with clubs. Basically he is dealing directly with clubs and leaving everything else to the film. All he is going to do is damage control everything at his pro day. They are going to eat it up and all will be fine. Just watch and see. I think he knows what to do on the field. I've never heard a single negative thing about the kid before that combine. Whatever he says at the Pro Day I bet the media buys it.

Its not going to effect his draft stock 1 bit. They will do whatever they need to do with him at the pro day. Players usually do 1 or both of them. Obviously he chose to do the Pro day and we will get the answer there.

I don't care anything about MHJ not doing the combine. Plenty guys opt for the Pro day. I'm sure He consulted with MH sr. and other NFL players before hand

I like Legette a lot. Think he would do well with AR and a much better athlete than Pierce. He can go up and get it, smooth run after catch ability as well and super fast. Like Brian Thomas JR as well. No problem with the Odunze pick either. Of course my other is Adonai Mitchell. Not on the list though.

I think Ballard has a vision for Woods and Ogletree. If he is satisfied with what he has there Im reasoning that he won't be as moved to add to the tight end room other than what he specifically said he was looking for. Now of course that changes if they just have a really high grade on Bowers. I think Ballard actually does draft for need if everything is similar. In our case though I think the need is bigger at WR. I have no problem with us taking Bowers at 15 if we have a stellar grade on him above our need positions.

I'm assuming there is a good chance Ballard just stays with the tight end room he has now and just gets a blocking tight end to replace Mo Cox. Which honestly that can be found in free agency. Not so sure about Bowers now. I was more into it when I thought Ogletree was done. I could be wrong.

I think Xavier Legette will go extremely well with Anthony Richardson. Another guy I like!

Kind of reminds me of an AJ Brown, Anquan Boldin mix as Im skimming over him. Very reliable although to me he doesn't seem to get much separation. The catches always appear to be very tightly contested.

I like Adonai Mitchell quite a bit. I think he'd go well with Pittman and Downs.

I hadn't done much homework on him but Xavier Worthy seems like a good outside threat. At least athletic wise. Much better athlete than Pierce. I like the other Texas guy as well Adonai Mitchell.

Except we are not talking about a practice squad player or low draft pick. Injuries happen in this sport unfortunately. Way too early to deny what we saw from Woods in year one.
