  1. He's going to sit out the whole preseason. I don't see any resolution for this until then.
  2. I was hearing Perryman early on but the last couple practices I haven't heard anything on Breshard Perryman. He's in that mix as well.
  3. Taylor has no choice really. He is between a rock and a hard place.
  4. Meet them in the middle JT. That's about all you're getting. I'm telling you this staff doesn't want to pay 20 million to a RB. They were a top 5-10 rushing team in Philly last year and they didn't need a $20 million dollar runner. Take what you can get this year bc I'm telling you they don't want to pay big money for a bell cow. And I think teams are not stupid when it comes to the most recent model for winning Super Bowls so I'm going to assume there's probably not a ton of teams jumping at the bit to add another $20 mil per for a runner. Sitting out the season isn't going to help bc of the Accrued Season thing which makes you an RFA next year instead of a UFA. All you have on the table for you my dawg is to play and pretty much get tagged next year. Maybe headed to UFA if his year is bad. So I see this guy probably holding out until camp and pre-season is over. Keep in mind he usually doesn't play preseason any way. Then they will kiss a little butt and throw him a partial bone good enough to get him on the field.
  5. This is what I mentioned in my first couple posts on the subject. He is already under contract trying to force a new deal. Best thing at this time if they are not ready to work it out is reach a happy medium.
  6. As far as I can tell this is about this year. The ankle injury yes is from last season. "Much of Taylor’s bitterness originated from a request by the team for Taylor to return to Indianapolis in advance of training camp so its medical staff could assess him, multiple sources said,” writes Holder. “The team saw it as a reasonable request, sources said, after Taylor underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his right ankle Jan. 25. It was a minimally invasive procedure during which small incisions were made to remove debris. Taylor was expected to make a full recovery in a few weeks to a month.” “But Taylor viewed the request warily, according to sources. He believed it was part of an effort to pressure him to return to the field for the start of camp, despite his stance that he needed more time to recover.” That initial request wasn’t received fondly
  7. Why would he have felt they were trying to pressure him to play? At this time of the year teams are usually pretty cautious about injuries so I can't see why they would have had pressuring him on their mind. Plus if he goes to a new team do you not think they wouldn't want to assess the ankle as well? Taylors position is weird to me.
  8. I'm excited about Adebawore! I think he's going to help us nicely with our interior pursuit.
  9. Good Job Ant! Nice comeback after throwing the pick.
  10. Bc I'm sure they are talking behind the scenes. If Taylor was done all the way he wouldn't be there.
  11. Bro trying to get paid before he blows a tire like Mack did. You got a contract though my guy. Remember you said you wanted to be a "Colt For Life"? Now all of a sudden after a couple days you want to be traded. What happened to the loyalty? If you want to truly be a "Colt For Life" then I'm thinking you would spend more time trying to come to a happy medium instead of forcing a trade.
  12. So far it looks like AR should make the adjustment to the NFL. Doesn't look too big for him. Still gotta watch a few live games though.
  13. Is Buffalo changing coordinators? Because that guy is Mike Martz pass happy. I don't think JT is what Buffalo is looking for. I could see him in Carolina with Frank, or somewhere else like Dallas where they like a bell cow.
  14. I think JT is going to be here. He's not the type of guy who is going to take it to the next level and become a real thorn in the butt as far as being a big time locker room distraction. Colts are going to hold him to his current deal, let it play out and then decide what to do with him. And I think as I said before he's probably got at least 1 tag in his future if not 2. I don't think he's getting a big long term contract.
  15. I don't think JT is a poor fit except when it comes to finance. Ability wise he is able to play RBBC because that's what he did when Marlon Mack was here. That's how JT got his start. Problem is now that we have taken him from that and turned him into a show case back coupled with the fact that his mind is set on getting paid a nice premium, it's not very likely he would be all that open to RBBC again other than a few games. This is what makes him a poor fit now. It's not that he isn't able to do it.
  16. No I think Steichen prefers the committee approach. And none of the recent Super Bowl teams from the past couple years have spent big on RB. They were RBBC. I think if they pay Taylor it's probably going to be a Tag or Two then let him move on.
  17. I don't think they really want to pay big dollars to a RB. They'd rather run RBBC like we used to.
  18. Seemed to me we won more when Reich was RBBC. We won less with the Bell Cow approach. There's more that played into it of course. I honestly prefer the RBBC.
  19. I think Steichen prefers RBBC. If so I'm interested to see how that plays into whether or not they pay Taylor a big bag, If his demands are not to their taste then do they tag him for a season and start looking at letting him move on at some point? I remember Doug Dew was kind of questioning the fit. I'd like for us to keep Taylor but if the staff does not prefer the Bell Cow approach it's a bit of an issue. I could be wrong.
  20. Yeah 28 picks is pretty bad. This is mostly what you are talking about to me. I don't think we will give him enough attempts to get 28 picks though.
  21. 1 session of several we did not see. I think most of Strouds stuff had been open to the media. Not the case with AR. I'm sure there's work to be done but we knew it. I'm glad at least Steichen has been very satisfied with AR progress
  22. He's going to show that in his case that S2 score meant absolutely zero. Which I've said would be the case anyway. He was definitely my first choice. Very happy with AR though!
  23. The Butterfly uh uh that's old. Let me see ya Tutsie Roll! Çome on now dip baby dip. Dip baby dip!
