  1. Regardless of how they played on Sunday they still need to recover, especially at this time of the season.
  2. With his time in the league and consistent high level of play, I think Ballard did right by Gilmore. Plus I also think it speaks to where Ballard thought the Colts would be. Lastly it was not done with just altruistic intentions - Ballard bet he could get more years at a cheaper price with the draft pick. I had no issue with it. Plus it also happened 7 months ago so who cares? Can’t believe I just wrote that many damn words on a guy who isn’t even on the team anymore.
  3. Still looking for the answer on selling tickets to the waiting list. How is that done? Also curious if you have ever sold your tickets via seat geek or Ticketmaster or some other resale site.
  4. I am very interested in the answer that comes to this very question. Never heard of this at any point since I became a STH.
  5. Again - I ask, do you have season tickets? If so, how do you get rid of the ones you can’t use. What do think when you see Colts fans in the stands during road games? Is that cool or are you mad at Bengals fans, Titans fans, etc for selling their seats to visiting fans? And please tell me more about this selling tickets to people that are on the waiting list. I doubt such a mechanism exists as I have never heard of that in my many years of being a season ticket holder but happy to be wrong.
  6. 20+ year season ticket holder here. And your scenario is not a one size fits all. We have missed several games this year because of kids sports. I may miss this Saturday”s game due a family Christmas with my in laws. We go to Florida over Thanksgiving every year and that has forced us to miss a game or two on each side of that week over the years. I watched the Tampa game this year from the Tampa airport. Games we miss I give our tix to family or sell on the open market. We keep our tickets because we sit with good friends and we enjoy the people that sit around us.
  7. I am reselling through Ticketmaster as a certified ticket reseller. At that point I have no control over who buys. Only way to control who gets them would be to sell to friends or family, who I know are Colts fans. But the time of year plus losses by both teams have hurt the market.
  8. Do you go to games? Do you only sell your tickets to Colts fans? My in-laws are doing Christmas this weekend so I have my tickets for sale. Should I take less money from family or Colts fans than what I would get from a Steelers fan so you are not embarrassed?
  9. My immediate guess is there is not good news on Braden Smith
  10. Your 100% absolutes statement are always 50/50 in reality.
  11. Agree completely. Sundays this fall have been more fun than I expected.
  12. Players coming back from a concussion 7 days happens but rare. Watt has two extra days to clear protocol. Plus the flack they are getting for letting him back in the game means nothing if he clears protocol.
  13. Not really. The decision was not black or white and I can see why he went the way he did. What was horrendous was the defense played after declining thr penalty.
  14. Dear Lord… You have no idea so why even speculate?
  15. This continues the 100% hit rate of reading one your posts and me going… 1) Why did I do that 2) WTH are you talking about
  16. The 52% of his passes that were incomplete against the Colts were majestic. That is how he was very good.
  17. My opinion on Ballard really has not changed. I’ve always thought he is a good GM. I even find the things that others have blasted him for to be good characteristics that I want in a GM. For instance, I don’t mind that he has a range that he will pay for a free agent at a given position and will not budge from that. I personally don’t find that discipline to be a weakness. On the search for a QB post Luck, I only really fault him for the Matt Ryan deal. The Rivers deal was a success that they expected to get one more year out of. With Wentz the next year, they thought they may have had a franchise QB. I get the thinking on both. The Ryan ship had sailed so to me that a mis-step. But even then, maybe they went that route because they saw no one from that QB class that could make a difference. Plus I think what I said above applies - he did not make a love for the sake of making a move. He had discipline which I appreciate. My two cents…
  18. This is the first post in about 5 years which we actually agree. I fear hell is freezing over as we speak. I do think there is a caveat. If a player can’t play, it is incumbent on the organization to do a postmortem on the pick to find out why did they miss on the guy? - Did they over look something in the tape or interviews that they should have caught? - Did they go against standard traits they have in place for each position? - Were they overly influenced by one persons bias towards the pick? - Did they out too much on RAS and overlook that the guy is not in love with football There are any number of things they can review to see why the puck went south. The key is to do the study so they can learn from it on future players. But even then - busts will happen. It is an in-exact science. I think Polian has said even the best only get picks right about 55% of the time. I don’t recall the exact figure or context but the point is teams will miss. It happens every year to every team. Just need to learn the why behind the miss.
  19. Some hard hitting analysis there.
  20. Yeah - I should have clarified and said Ballard may not see the need for a 1st or 2nd round WR selection.
  21. Assuming they extend Pittman, I am not convinced Ballard will think WR is a draft need.
  22. Aside from the obvious win being # 1, my biggest take away is how much better they will be in the RZ with Richardson.
