  1. Not really. The decision was not black or white and I can see why he went the way he did. What was horrendous was the defense played after declining thr penalty.
  2. Dear Lord… You have no idea so why even speculate?
  3. This continues the 100% hit rate of reading one your posts and me going… 1) Why did I do that 2) WTH are you talking about
  4. The 52% of his passes that were incomplete against the Colts were majestic. That is how he was very good.
  5. My opinion on Ballard really has not changed. I’ve always thought he is a good GM. I even find the things that others have blasted him for to be good characteristics that I want in a GM. For instance, I don’t mind that he has a range that he will pay for a free agent at a given position and will not budge from that. I personally don’t find that discipline to be a weakness. On the search for a QB post Luck, I only really fault him for the Matt Ryan deal. The Rivers deal was a success that they expected to get one more year out of. With Wentz the next year, they thought they may have had a franchise QB. I get the thinking on both. The Ryan ship had sailed so to me that a mis-step. But even then, maybe they went that route because they saw no one from that QB class that could make a difference. Plus I think what I said above applies - he did not make a love for the sake of making a move. He had discipline which I appreciate. My two cents…
  6. This is the first post in about 5 years which we actually agree. I fear hell is freezing over as we speak. I do think there is a caveat. If a player can’t play, it is incumbent on the organization to do a postmortem on the pick to find out why did they miss on the guy? - Did they over look something in the tape or interviews that they should have caught? - Did they go against standard traits they have in place for each position? - Were they overly influenced by one persons bias towards the pick? - Did they out too much on RAS and overlook that the guy is not in love with football There are any number of things they can review to see why the puck went south. The key is to do the study so they can learn from it on future players. But even then - busts will happen. It is an in-exact science. I think Polian has said even the best only get picks right about 55% of the time. I don’t recall the exact figure or context but the point is teams will miss. It happens every year to every team. Just need to learn the why behind the miss.
  7. Some hard hitting analysis there.
  8. Yeah - I should have clarified and said Ballard may not see the need for a 1st or 2nd round WR selection.
  9. Assuming they extend Pittman, I am not convinced Ballard will think WR is a draft need.
  10. Aside from the obvious win being # 1, my biggest take away is how much better they will be in the RZ with Richardson.
  11. Are we talking about Henry Rowengardner?
  12. I 100% did not need that explained to me - but thanks.
  13. It appears you are right. If they were announcing a move this week for the Colts / Steelers game, it would have happened by now.
  14. Dear God… 1) Losing your best player is not a blessing. 2) Taylor already missed 4 games - his legs should be rested already. 3) Do you really think this is the push to make Moss work harder? 4) Thr league is already aware of what Moss can do. This will not be some big reveal for everyone.
  15. I am going on precedent. The 2021 game day and time between the Colts and Pats was announced on Nov 23rd with the game being played on Dec 18th. Just a hunch we get word this week. I could be 100% wrong.
  16. It’s possible I suppose but many factors involved here. One of them is allowing for travel of fans to get to a game. TV ratings is another and because it’s the Steelers, that game will draw regardless.
  17. I would think this is the week that we get word on what day / time the Steelers game gets played.
  18. Yeah, saw that. The other games that are listed as tbd for that weekend are not very sexy. There will be a 4:30 game and 8pm game on that Saturday. I actually think the Colts game has a better than 50/50 chance of being moved to that Saturday.
  19. The Steeler game is still a TBD. That could be one moved into a national window I suppose.
  20. Unlikely. 1) They are not sexy. Two offensive td’s in the last two games. 2) The league likely still has scar tissue from the 5 prime time games they bored the nation with last year.
  21. I would not take his comment as confirmation of your thought. I think it had more to do with no sense is looking any further than Tampa.
  22. Seems about right. Their schedule is not overly daunting but neither are the Colts. No one sees the Colts on their schedule and immediately goes into a fetal position. They will probably sneak a win against someone they are underdogs against and lose one or two that was penciled as a win.
  23. Again - degree of the break for and against. Simple concept - the Colts’ record is exactly what it should be. They got some breaks and had breaks go against.
